The import image like Photoshop file vs PNG

My video guru created an arrow for me in Illustrator to use first to point the finger the items on the slides I created in InDesign.

He saved or that exported in a Photoshop file and sent to me, saying that I should just import the Photoshop file into my timeline first.

When I told him that I tried to save it as a PNG first so I see the thumbnail in Windows Explorer (and, I guess, in the sandbox in the first), he seemed to say 'reluctantly', ' fine, go ahead and do that.» He seems to believe that a Photoshop file behaves better in first as a PNG image.

I'm going to be rotating and panning/image of the arrow, but any zoom be down in size.

What's the story with the help of a Photoshop file vs a PNG?

Thank you!

PNG is fine.  Ignore apparent reluctance.

I'm new on this point and only to learn so excuse my untrained Flash jargon.

I am trying to create a countdown for my site. I wrote a code in ActionScript 2.0 that works, but I have a background that I created in Illustrator that I want to integrate the timer. So, I have the image and in addition to this the image is where I'd like to only count numbers, if it makes no sense?

I posted the image I want to talk to. The bottom half (the box at the bottom), that's where I want to put issues of countdown using the Flash.

Y at - it a specific format that I need to have the imported image in as I tried the jpg, gif, bitmap, and none of them let me put an action on it?

Thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

you attach code to your background.  just import your image on the stage, and drop it where you want.

Create a new layer above your background, and then create a textfield in the layer.  Place the textfield on your background where you want your numbers to appear.  Name the textfield instance.

Finally, add your code to a third layer and assign the number of countdown to the text property of your textfield object.  test.

  • Help me to decide if I should buy! Can I import images from photoshop?

Hello, I am currently a pencil to the paper artist. My question on this forum, it is that I would be able to scan my pictures on my computer, save them to photoshop and use these images with anchor points created to animate?

Is this possible? Thanks in advance and please let me know if you need additional information.

Yes, you can import a sequence of images in Photoshop. No drawing isn't like a pencil, because it's the vector is more like a line of ink. And Yes, you can create and manipulate anchor points (once you have activated the art on a symbol) so you can rotate a shoulder biceps or a calf from the knee.

  • first freezes when you import a layered photoshop file

When I try to import a PSD with more then 1 layer import window opens but I'm making progress and the Cancel button is grayed.

I tried to edit the files stored with 8-bit CMYK to RGB.

I also did the tour where you are looking for in the media browser dubbel click it and make drag the file in the project, which works but it flattens the image and I need the different layers.

When I have 1 layer the psd and no transparent whats if ever it works too.

But I need to make images move so I need different layers of work anyone can help me with this?

    Thanks

    1. the photoshop files must always be RGB and CMYK never.

    2. sometimes when importing Photoshop files, the menu to choose the layers is off the screen. You know this if when importing and the first seems to freeze on import, press enter and you might get the photoshop file, but with all the merged layers. To choose the layers, reduce the size of the first screen when it is open before you import Photoshop, then try to import the photoshop file and you should see the submenu for choosing diapers. This may or may not be your problem, but it is one from time to time, I found.

  • Lightroom has lines in the imported image.

I'm shooting with a Sony A7II and a goal of 50mm 1.4 Nikon with adapter. I HAVe computers 2 (laptop and desktop) with installed lightroom.  When I import files on the laptop that display images is ok; When I import the desktop each file has 3 or 4 horizontal lines at the top half of the image.  What am I doing wrong? lineexample.jpg.lineexample2.jpg

It seems that a different card reader has been around.  I deleted all the photos with the lines and imported using a reader of different cards with no problems.  If it's funny that the only appeared lines on files that have been taken with the Nikon w lens / adapter and not the kit lens.  O well something like that be done to turn the gear.   Thanks for the answer for everyone.

  • Length of the imported images is always 1 framework

I learn how to use After Effects (CC2014 in this case) and as soon as I started, I found this problem.

In all the tutorials I've seen, when it is put an imported file (in this case a .png) in composition, its length is by default the same as all of the compositions. But in my case, it lasts only 1 frame.

    1. I checked under Preferences > import and it is set to last all of the compositions too!

2 I can't manually drag opoint ut of the duration of the layer in the timeline panel to prolong what I want, or choose when it ends / begins by dragging the bar all around.

3 it does not work under "right click > time > Time Stretch ' because he won't let the hard layer more than 3 seconds (the Composition is 30 seconds)

In any case, I want to find a solution to all these 3 problems, given that I can't accept that I have to do with a 'patch' solution, like putting a keyframe at the end of the composition for each layer or something like that.

Latest news: I quickly tried importing a file .ai and it worked flawlessly, all that long composition was. But I know that PNG should work that too since I saw him in the tutorials, so I'm crazy gong here.

You have enabled the 'Séquence' option in the import dialog box. That's all there is to it. Simply turn it off.

  • Could not load the TIF images in Photoshop.

    CS4 (11.0.2) and Windows 7 Home Edition.

Have developed a problem when trying to load TIF images in Photoshop. I have a large number of images archived on a dozen years or more. At this point, there are some files that are the problem. Now, all of these files have been published and stored using the versions of Photoshop in the period of full time. Files are always saved without compression. Tried to load Photoshop and clicking on the file in a list of files. Photoshop just crashes and I get the message of the program does not. I can take these same files and load them into ROXIO photo without problem Editor. Stranger still is if I simply load the file in the editor of ROXIO then "save under" in the same folder (overwrite) the file can then be brought into Photoshop without problem! Any ideas?

Joe sent me two TIFF files with which we can try to reproduce the problem (cute baby, Joe!).

I had no problem to open them in Photoshop CS4 or CS5.  The only special thing I see on these files is that they are labeled with a rare color profile: Nikon sRGB 4.0.0.3001 (8bpc)

What are your colors, Joe management settings?

Here are the files if others would like to try:

  • the imported images are there but does not appear

    Hello

I'm new to Lightroom, but not to the digital imaging.  I am deciding whether or not to use Lightroom as archiving software.  I have imported photos with various types of files in Lightroom, copy them into the default location and convert NEF photos in .dng files.  Everything seems as it should in what concerns the lists on the left, and the files are where they are supposed to be in the default locations and are operable and viewable in photoshop.

The problem is that everything that is displayed in the environment Viewer are rectangles greyed.  No images.  Can I export an image in a different file type to an external location and display it correctly.  So all the images are there and LR know where they are (since he created and put them there).  The film in low also rectangles is just gray.

I have no idea what prevents images from appearing and I hope someone here can help.  I am running XP SP3 and Lightroom 2.5 632038 Raw 5.6.  I import files NAVE of Nikon and a D300 camera Coolpix 4000 Scanner.  Photoshop reads all of these pictures raw with their plug-ins.  Moreover, I also imported jpg and tiff files and they do not appear in the screen either.

    Thanks in advance

Believe it or not, your monitor profile is corrupt. A corrupted profile can sometimes manifest only in LR and not in other programs managed by color as Photoshop.

Either use a hardware standard, which is the best thing (look up on the web Spyder), or modify your monitor profile by default in sRGBxxxx, with the rest of your profiles. On Windows XP, you can do this through control of management/display/settings/advanced/color of the Panel. Make the second of these two things is really just a stopgap. If you don't calibrate it with a hardware device, you will always have incorrect colors.

Anyway, to convince yourself that the profile is in fault, change it in the color management.

  • Change the preview image of audio files (no icon) in the Finder?

I know that this is easily done in iTunes, simply by changing the 'work' of the song.

But I need to do it outside of iTunes, and I need to change the preview image and not the image of the icon.

Many tutorials show how to easily change the icon of a file, but I found nothing on the change in the preview...

As said, I need to do it in the Finder, or perhaps with Quicktime? I don't know how I can use it, if necessary.

I need to have the work I want already in the file before you import it into iTunes, regardless of the reason for which I won't get into that.

You can use a tag editor to third party such as Meta-z for the files to m4a format.  I would recommend the Rage of free media now, but I can't find a download link works.

  • My dsc-wx200 cancels the import image with wifi on its own.

Hello, my dsc wx200 can connect to my computer and "preparing to import" the PlayMemories window appears, and he finds the images I want to import. But my camera gets stuck on "sending...". "part and on the screen LCD it says for a fraction of second something in the sense of"cancel import", then it turns off. PlayMemories import window progress bar goes full and said that where imported images, but they were not in reality. I tried to uninstall/reinstall the drivers, but that doesn't seem to work. I am running Windows 7 64 bit and I recently changed my motherboard, but I don't know if this is the problem and that is that I have no idea of what would be the problem. What should I do to fix this?

    Thank you!

    Good day Tichondrious

Try resetting the camera it of default factory configuration that could help to correct this problem, please follow the steps below to initialize the device.

MENU (settings) (main settings) [initialize] [all parameters] [OK] .

After initialization, connect to your wireless network and import the files to Playmemories House. The guide on how to connect the camera to the wireless access point is located on the following link. Parameters of the Access Point.

    Loril salvation,

Please make sure that you have read and write permissions on the folder where you are trying to import images into Lightroom.

Also try to change the location of import and then try

Make sure you update to Lightroom to the latest version 2015.6.1/6.6.1.

  • Cataloge does not display the imported image

Computer store put in new hard drive and copied photos of old disk hard 'C' for the new drive hard 'C '. Old hard drive is still active on the computer but named 'G' now. Any time that I import images from the new 'C' drive they are absent in the catalog. I try to reconnect and message said they were not connected. What should I do?

    Hmmm

The fact that you use Photoshop Elements is not mentioned in your original post and then your message has been moved on the Lightroom forum. You'd better ask a question in the forum of Photoshop Elements.

  • The imported images are not shown in the current path

    Hello

I use Organizer to organize my pictures, about 100,000 items 10.

All these photos are in the location D: /photos/privat pictures/2001/YYYYMMDD. Each year a lot of folders by date.

All these photos are a second time to my backup Z: drive /backup photo/privat images/2001 /...

After you create a new catalog and begin to import all files in D: it takes time until that all images are imported.

But then the failure happens if I click on any folder in D: I do not see any image.

If I start the import either to a single file, yet once I get the message"already imported photos... »

If I click in a bar in the timeline photos are displayed and the tree path it shows instead Z... with D: path name

I created catalogs over the last time to find a solution, but nothing helps to solve this problem.

    I use Windows 7 ultimate

    Any idea?

    Hello MichelBParis and John,

problem is solved. Thank you very much.

  • JavaScript 3D: I can't create the integrated Image of JPEG file object

I would like to create an Image object from a JPEG file embedded (like object FileSpec, referenced in the names of resources of the 3D stream object tree), later to serve as a backdrop. Unfortunately, the created image object has zero dimension and cannot be used later:

    RES = new resource ('pdf://sunset.jpg');

    Host.Console.println (res.type);  Ok. outputs 'image '.

    IMG = new Image (res);

    Host.Console.println (img.width +' "+ img.height); not ok. outputs 0 '0'

However, if the image is embedded as an Image XObject in the PDF file that is referenced instead of the dictionary of the specification of file in the tree view of the resource names, the code works and the subject of the Image has a nonzero size.

Is this expected behavior? I ask because the 3D JavaScript API says that Image objects can be created from embedded resources from file.

    Thanks for any comments,

    Alexander

OK - it needs these tags. Here is a screenshot of the structure when you use Acrobat Pro (a scene 3D, a single resource being added, "bitmap.jpg") - as you can see that the image is stored as an XObject, with the data of the 3D model in the tree (the binary stream above the entrance of 3DV)

Acrobat 9 and X 3D annotations are stored using the specification in part 9.5 ISO 320000/1.7EL3 - they are similar to Rich Media Annotations, but not exactly equivalent. However if you add a SWF file to a 3D annotation table resource, all annot is repacked as a Rich Media Annotation (/ T:Annot S:RichMedia) with the 3D model and resources stored as objects of the file specification in the elements library. Entries in the RichMediaSettings tree say the rendering engine that it is still a 3D scene, but we do need spend containers like this as a 3D annot has limited the supported for resources non - Image.

  • Unexpected keywords added to the imported images

    Hello

I sought an answer to this and had no success.  I've noticed lately that when I import any image in Lightroom, there are 2 key words that are always added to the image.  I do not use a preset of import.  The keyword "dialog box" in the section "Apply during import" of the import page can be empty (i.e. no key words must be assigned to the attached, or other keywords, I have added to this area, but the same 2 keywords keep added to each import.)  What Miss me?  Thanks in advance!

Looks like you typed in these keywords at a time in a metadata preset in the menu of your import. Go to the import. Click on the arrows to the right of "Metadata" flippy and select 'change '. Scroll to the bottom of the metadata entry boxes and check if the keywords are typed in the box below. If so, remove them. If the words are there that fixes the problem and you can join the many people who have experienced this. FYI, for some reason, the preset metadata keywords will not appear in the keyword box import, only in the library module after importing. Hope this fixes the problem. David
