The info I am updating in the media player is not appear on the file itself?

Hi, I'm bad with, which, in my view, is, synchronizing the information? I usually empty files only mp3 title that I would update using "Find Album Info" in windows media player. Usually, it works, but when I check some files, it's always empty.

Here is a picture of one of the many songs that suffer from this.

As you can see, some songs are perfectly up-to-date. I tried to restart, wait a few days, etc.; the problem persists. It's frustrating because when I sync with my phone in any case, it appears as "Unknown artist" even if it is perfectly updated in the media player on my computer. How can I fix it? Thank you.

Hi LillianH,

Thanks for the reply.

Glad to know that the problem is solved. Back to us for any problem related to Windows. We will be happy to help you.

Kind regards

    Hello

A .lnk file is a standard shortcut in Windows. The shortcuts are very often placed on the desktop, or in a control panel application such as Windows Start menu Launcher.

Looks like that file Associations may be corrupted on your system.

Let us know what version of Windows you are using and we can help solve the problem.

    Concerning

  • Windows Media Player does not appear in the window when selected

When you select Windows Media Player window does not appear, however, the 'media player logo' appears in the taskbar, including the thumbnail with my videos shown. When I click on the "logo media player" in the taskbar in the main window just flashes on the screen and does not remain.  Help would be appreciated

    Oscardog,

I posted this article, assuming you had Windows 7 on your computer. My bad. Sorry about that!

Make SFC scan and check if any system files are intact and fine.

In addition, create a new user and check the status.

  • Windows Media Player 'page not found' and .wax files

Accidentally, I posted this in the Windows 7 forum, please excuse the double post:

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have problems when you try to play Windows Media Player/Media Guide/Internet Radio.

When I chose 'listen' for a station, I get a box of "do you want to or save this open file."

If I chose open, I get an error "this program cannot display this webpage".

If I choose to save, I save a .wax file (at this time I going to my office for my mental health) and double click it to play the station I want to hear.  It's very annoying.

I want to do a lot and hope that there is a way to make this process much easier.

I have Windows Media Player 11.0 on Vista Home Premium.  I tried to update and it says there is no update.

    Thanks again for your help

Please try to set WMP as default player again, by selecting it in the list and click set this program as default .

In addition, this happens with all radio stations, or just one?

The dialog box that opens gets also a checkbox called always ask before opening this type of file ? If so, you can clear the check box and click Open , and the dialog box should not appear more after that.

If that doesn't help either, you can try to delete temporary Internet files and the Internet Explorer Cookies.

  • Windows Media Player will not play a. MOV file

I have a new Dell laptop with Windows 7 Professional and Windows Media Player will not play a '. MOV' video file completely (the video but not sound). I am told by Microsoft Windows Media Player will not play a MOV file, and I need Codec VLC add on or another player who will play MOV file. What is the best solution and if its for download a Codec VLC, then what is the best source?

    Guess why?  [ :-) ]

Types of files supported by Windows Media Player:
    https://support.Microsoft.com/kb/316992

Which was probably that there was a lack of understanding between the container file and the codec here (in November 2013).  He says he's a "MOV" does not mean that he plays with the same codecs as all other MOV files.  ;-)

  • When I keyin information of track using Media Player, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index Media Player?

Original title: metadata key - music

My question is actually very specific: when I keyin track using Media Player Info, is this info inserted in the file itself, or only in the index of Media Player? If I have to rebuild the indexes in the metadata file, the indexed fields are kept in?

Only in the index of Media Player.  If you remove this file WMP (without actually deleting the computer/folder) and then read the file again, you would see that your changes have disappeared.

To actually change the file, you will need a program known as ID3 Tag Editor.
