"The installation of this application may be corrupted", LV 2012

Hello

I ask to help with the problem that I struggle with for a few days. I had to reinstall my 2012 LabVIEW (32 bit) and now, when I try to open it, I get an error "this application installation may be damaged. Use Add / Remove programs in Control Panel to try to repair the program. "I tried to fix LabVIEW and re - install again, but nothing works. I tried with two different managers (old and new site of NOR) and I have installed the patch f1, f3 and f5 too. I have Windows 7.

Someone has an idea of what I could do with it?

Thank you

Sometimes the Add Remove Programs tool would not completely remove LabVIEW.  There is a tool called MaxBlast that will help with that.  I downloaded on this post awhile back: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/LabVIEW-8-6-1-crashes-with-VIs-built-in-LabVIEW-7-1-1/m-p/960472/hig...

Make sure that you restart your computer at least once after removal of all the stuff of NOR, before you reinstall it.

It may also be worth checking your LV 2012 files if media your always get corrupted installs.

The error message "Adobe Creative cloud is necessary to solve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudappcreative cloud "means that the creative Application of cloud installation was not successful. I need to uninstall the iTunes 12.2.0.145 in Windows 7-32 bit, but I don't have the installation of this version files. Can someone help me, please?

The problem lies in a PC with Windows 7 32 bit

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review other cases and a list of documents to support further down the page, in which case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent if you have problems to download, need to revert to a previous version or try the version iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for the problems of performance or compatibility with third-party software.

Your library must be affected by these measures, but it is also related to backup and recovery advice if necessary.

Try to load Quick time.  All goes well until I get "administrator has set policies that prohibit the installation of this program.

I am the system administrator, logged as such, can't find a way to change these policies of 'administratoer' to allow me to download and install a program that I want to install!

    Hi J1walters,

    ·        The computer is connected to a domain network?

    ·        Which edition of Windows vista is installed on the computer?

    ·        You are able to install other programs outside of Quicktime?

However, you can try the steps below and check if it helps to install Quick time.

    Method 1

    a. open the location of the downloaded program.

    b. right click on Setup.exe or install icon.

    c. click the run as Administrator option.

Check if the program is installed.

    Method 2

Try to temporarily disable control user account (UAC) on the computer and try to install the program and check if he moved very well. Subsequently re-enable the UAC settings after installing the program.

Access the link below to see how to enable and disable the UAC settings.

    Hi TG,.

Please make sure you have a backup of your photo album compilation. Not because of the Windows 8.1 upgrade, but for lack of material, viruses, etc.

To activate the Defender, you must uninstall AVG. I find the Defender to be better than AVG, it is my recommendation.

My Advisor is to make sure the system is fully updated and backup before moving on to 8.1. So take your time in making the upgrade. Let the system updated as it should be all automated.

  • How can I get the installer for my application check the operating system type and then install the correct driver type?

I have a request that I wrote and have been use and distribute for awhile. The installer I created for this application is an additional installer to install a driver for the USB connection. The USB connection is actually a virtual COM Port. The problem is that the people who drafted modified driver setup the installation program itself. They used to have an installer that would check for 32-bit or 64-bit OS and then install the appropriate driver.

Now, they have two distinct installation programs: one for the other for 32-bit and 64-bit. They let the user know their OS and install the appropriate driver. I'd rather not have to rely on my users to do. From what I've seen the creater Installer provides that an executable to be run after the application installs.

Is it possible to have the installer of the application, check the type of OS and then run the correct executable file after installing my application? I think that I could write an Installer 'wrapper' that checks the type of operating system then executes the correct Installer. But I expect a better solution.

    Thank you
    Joe

    So, I make it work!

The trick is to find a way to determine what type of OS you are using. The method I used was, indeed, read the environment variable. A buddy of mine sent me this link:

http://StackOverflow.com/questions/2401756/how-to-find-if-the-machine-is-32bit-or-64bit One of the phrases he bibliography the Processor_Architecture environment variable.

It seemed like a reasonable idea. So I started to research how read LV it environment variables turns out, you do it by reading a registry key. There is an example of LV on how to read a registry key. But I did not know where they are in the registry. So, I searched the Processor_Architecture registry. I found it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Environment.

According to the article in the link, this value will already be x 86 for a 32 bit OS, or something with 64 inside. I just check the response for x 86 string. If it is, I just run the x 86 version of the driver Installer. Otherwise, I run the x 64 version.

It turned out to be as simple as that.

    I hope this helps someone.

  • Device Manager show that this driver may be corrupted or missing (error code: 39) on CD/DVD devices

Device Manager has a yellow ball with an asterisk on the CD & DVD devices.  My computer does not display a device.  The Device Manager has a message that the driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39).  It happened after uninstalling Norton and McAfee installation.  I uninstalled McAfee and tried to install the drivers.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the device.  Still no CD or DVD displayed in my count.  Everybody recognizes the problem?

Try following the steps under "Windows XP" in the article following the MS KB:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116

These measures, to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, values if they exist, in the registry key named can help.

Create a System Restore Point beforehand and restart the computer later.
