  I read several threads related to my question. I tried to uninstall all versions of Adobe and then do a clean download and nothing has helped. I get to 50% and then a general download error appears. I don't know if this has a any correlation, but I didn't have a problem until I updated my software for OS X Mavericks.

  Save the file, exit your browser and mount the DMG.

  Do NOT RUN the Setup program.

  Right click and choose "Show Package content"

  

  Then in happy / Resources, double-click the Adobe Flash Player.pkg

  You can download the standalone player (projector) since https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

  Note that the download is the player, not an installer, you will need to manually .swf file association.

  I mainly use Google Chrome, which has the PC already installed, but I have a problem with the ActiveX control, I can install Flash player 11 for windows but not ActiveX... I read that it is a tool for IE, so I thought that I wouldn't be needing, but when I tried to run a program (game Ranger) he said I had need of ActiveX control and that I had not in my computer... So I started to search for solutions, etc etc, and ultimately abandon it because I just couldn't do it, but right now I did it again because I want to know if it's something important to have...

  The problem during the installation is the following: it starts to download the Flash Player... then install it and when it is at 51%, it stops and a message appears saying: registry error. It's what happens when I try to install ActiveX, not Flash Player itself, because as I said above I can install...

  I'm having the following problem.  When you try to install the most recent 'Flash Player' I get the following on the 300 more my PC running Windows 7.

  

  I tried the steps for installed the cleaning and the steps to give permissions to the correct key in the registry and nothing worked.  I have attached the log files of the last machine, that I encountered the error.  Can someone please! I'm at my wits end on this.

  For all those who may fall on this thread with a similar problem (and always get "Failed to register" error after you run the SubInACL tool to correct permissions):

  We have identified the problem as McAfee. Specifically, McAfee was preventing access to the following registry entries:

  During uninstallation of McAfee, Flash Player ActiveX registered.  Could be a policy setting in the configuration of McAfee.  OP will investigate.

  Check the status of my modules I've seen "update" notice for flash player.

  I clicked the button to update and was taken at Adobe to start the process. I clicked on the "Download" button and the download of the installer has set and completed normally.

  I clicked on the file Installer downloaded and started the installation. Then this error message appeared (see snapshot). By pressing 'Yes' or 'no' buttons causes the message reappear continually. I had to use the Task Manager to kill the process.

  MY version of FF is 39.0. The version of flash player that is 18.0.0.209. OS is W7 Home Premium (update).

  I'm updating Adobe Flash played on my iMac, which is under OS X, versions 10.11.5.

  System Preferences shows that I am running: NPAPI plugin version 22.0.0.192 is installed

  I have download the DMG file and run the install Adobe Flash Player.app.  A window appears asking me to confirm that I want to open the application.  A bouncing folder appears on my Dock.  I never get the window asking me my password.  The update never installs.  I repeated this process several times.

  Have you seen this?

  It seems that you miss a required system library (/ System/Library/Frameworks/CoreWLAN.framework/Versions/A/CoreWLAN).  It's absolutely wrong.

  You can try the following: after mounting the dmg of Flash Player, right-click on the icon "Install Adobe Flash Player" and select "view the contents of the package.  From there, go to the folder content / Resources and run the file named 'Adobe Flash Player.pkg.
