  I use Microsoft Synctoy to backup critical files on my computer and would like to back up my address book Thunderbird. This is different from exporting it, I think. One of you kind (and certainly more technologically knowledgeable) people can tell me how to locate the folder that contains my address books? Thank you!

• Sansa clip + does not see the audio books I have loaded

  I got my Sansa Clip MP3 player + for two years and it works very well, so far.  I only use it for audio books.  Recently, I reformatted the player and loaded new books in.  When I went to read, the audio books folder was empty.  I have connected the player to the computer again, and the books were in the audio books folder, where I had loaded.

  I've updated the firmware to the V01.02.16A Version, and there was no change.  I tried to reset by pressing the start button. No change.

  Memory has 3750 MB with 3135 free, indicating that there are books in memory, but the player does not see the.  What is going on?

  That's all!  I checked the format of audio files.  It is the AAFC, with suffix .m4a.

  The Sansa manual says:

• Clip Zip will not display the names of files in the menu books/audiobooks

  Firmware has been updated, but the folder names are not displayed. Only 'unknown' under the category of audio books.

  When giong in the audiobooks menu, it goes directly to the list of titles during the passage. Leaving out, it shows the unknown as if he was now showing a folder name. Out once more then it goes into the menu books audio books and Podcasts as an option.

  Also, it's showing only a folder name 'Unknown' when there is more.

  Exactly the same thing is happening under the Podcasts menu also.

  Currently, navigation in folders only operates in the submenu of the music and allows you to navigate to the music folder.

  Books / Audible books / Podcasts can only be traversed by using the method of navigation standard ID3 tag.  Without these data, all we can do is to navigate between the 'unknown' and 'unknown '.

  As you described, note that it is not an option of records under the heading books.  Clip Zip has the basic navigation under the music only for the moment.  I understand your frustration (The Fuze + to navigate anywhere with ease in the comparison, but it is runnning a platform different processor despite research similar to the UI Clip Zip)

  The best thing to do is to fix your ID3 tag on your music data using a tags editor suitable as MP3Tag.  Once this is done the first time with the music library on your computer, all can navigate easily.

  I just got the video yesterday. I love.

  I dragged a bunch of music during 'My music' to the clip and all that everything went well.

  I dragged a few books,"I had more that were stored in the 'My music' in iTunes in my iTunes library

  folder... When I display video hard drive on my computer screen to see what is stored in the Audiobook box it shows

  the books are here... When I disconnect the Clip and go to the section audio books it is said 'empty '.

  Is there a way to get the books on the clip?    (I noticed that they are mp4 in my itunes and mp3 library in 'my music')

  Select the item in the timeline panel.

  Once selected, right-click (Ctrl-click) on the clip and the drop-down list that appears, choose "reveal in project.

  The source of the item in the timeline is now highlighted in the project Panel, and then you can move this clip in the project to the bin that you want to put in it.

• Can not get the clips to be imported in the chronology of the location of the source

  I'm getting started with first CC from FCPX.  I can import .mov and .mp4 files and play them, but the clips are rejected when I try to drag in the timeline.  I'm sure that I experimented successfully with before creating on my Mac (mini later model with 16 GB of memory), but I can't seem to get anything on the timeline.  It is strange that, if something is wrong with my files, they will play in the first, but the timeline don't except them.  I want to make FCPX at first, but it is a deal killer.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

  You have a sequence in the timeline? If not, you can create the obe by clicking on the icon of a new element at the bottom of the project Panel (or drop your file on the new icon) or the menu file > New > sequence. In the sequence, then drag your file.

• Add address of the sender to the address book using filtaquilla?

  When the sender is not in the address book, I want to give the user an option to add it. Is this possible with filtaquilla?

  There is a filter action, provided by FiltaQuilla, to "Add sender to the address list", and among all the proposed locations, your address books are included.

  But I see no way easy to offer the user a dialog to allow him to choose or not to do. Perhaps a javascript maven could do something here.

  Any sender can easily be added to the address book by clicking on its name/address in the header of the received message. Maybe you can use a filter just to highlight the messages from unknown senders in order to prompt the user to consider adding to their address book. Or you can create a saved search to collect such messages. Then, their mere presence in this saved search folder would indicate their status is unknown.

A certain font was not available when I opened an Illustrator document, so I opened the font book to see why and found that hundreds of fonts, I entered the book of policies over the past year or more are missing. I know that real fonts are still in my police records, but a number of hours of work participated in their addition to the font book and organize them into folders. Is all the work is lost, where can I access the preferences that contain this information somehow? What a brake if not. Font book does not yet have all folders that I put in place, they are just empty and only the core system fonts are loaded.

  Unless I can access the old prefs I guess I also install all my software again, to make sure that necessary fonts are loaded?

  Use your backup Time machine restore.

  Your book plist police is located on via Finder > go > go to folder, copy and paste:

  ~/Library/preferences/com. Apple.FontBook.plist

• I do not see my addresses in the address book

  I just reinstalled Windows 7 Pro (I had to) and I managed to reinstall Thunderbird, then point it to my existing profile as my email now displays correctly.

  The problem is that my address book seems to be empty now. I checked and my abook.mab and history.mab files are located and have content (13.1 K and 16.8 K respectively) have been dated to shortly before the reinstall. When I bring my address book, however, it seems empty.

  Is there something more I should do to get my address book will display correctly?

  Unfortunately I don't have an exported backup or anything sensitive like that.

  I don't know if the version of Thunderbird I was running was a little different than that I just installed. My previous version of Thunderbird has been reasonably aware.

  There is a possibility that you have more than one profile. Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile and then look in the same directory to see if there is another * file *.default.

  If so, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to switch to another profile, and search for your address book. If you find, export using the LDIF format and then switch your main profile and import addresses.
  NOTE: no matter what name you give the exported address file becomes the name of the address book when you import it!

  Still no joy? Watch abook.mab with Notepad; It is a text file. Browse down to see if you have your address book entries.

  Open "address book".
  Select the address book that you want to export.
  Tools > export

  This should open a window "Export Address Book".

  Hi all. I have a Mac Pro 1.1 running OS X 10.6.8 and a Mac Pro 3.1 10.9.5 running. I'm upgrading to an iphone 4 to a 6 s more. I have serious duplication of notes, contacts, and calendar for the last 5 years issues. My iphone 4 has hundreds of dups of the contacts and notes that would not remove for nothing. So I went through all the notes and contacts and all the destruction, updates, etc. in the old mac pro (which can't go beyond the current OS X), and cannot load the latest version of itunes to connect iphone more than 6 s. So, I'm in a bit of a bind to get the new phone in place. My thought is put in place the new phone on the newer computer as a new installation, so not to risk the old corrupt Info more back ups on the old computer becomes a problem. But since I can't (even if I wanted to) connect the new phone to itunes of the older for synchronization computer, I would like to copy the address book complete, all notes, and calendars of the old mac pro, place items to the appropriate locations on the 3.1 mac pro thus having immediate access to all of my calendars, contacts and notes in order to sync/upload their new phone with ios fresh install it. I have some info in contacts, notes and calendar for the new mac pro communities, but don't mind deleting all the old mac pro news. So, I'm looking most of convemient and precisely to transfer such info from old mac pro to new mac pro to have available for my new phone.

  Sorry for the long question, but I try to be as complete as possible in order to get the best help possible specific to my question.

  Try to locate your data from outlook express:

  Click on start-> Run & paste-> %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities

  You will see the folders as {xxxxxx-xxxx-xxx-xx-xxxxxxxxxxxx} click-> Microsoft-> Outlook Express, you should be able to locate the DBX files, these are the outlook database files. Ideally, you should see inbox.dbx, Sent Items.dbx... check the size of the file.

  Now to get it back on outlook express, open outlook express-> click on tools-> Options-> maintenance-> the storage location.

  Click on change location, and then select the location that you have your data in.

  For the address book, see: click Start-> Run and paste the following:

  %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

  Address book with wab extension, these should reflect your Outlook Express user name.
