The menu reference

In my Subvi, I am trying to get the main menu of the vi reference, so that I can edit the main menu of the vi with vi as Set Menu Item Info.  How can I get the reference to a Subvi?  Is there a property that I can use?

No reason to not simply pass the reference of the menu of the main VI to the Subvi?

  • By programming the menu default runtime value

    I'm setting up the menu of the duration of a menu custom to the default menu.  I write a string by using the RunTimeMenuPath property node when the VI is inactive.  All combinations of base failed: empty string, 'default', 'default.rm '.  When I opened the VI and check the menu change, the specified string is not found, and the menu is then reset by default.

  • Run the menu error

    Hello world

    I run intoanother apparently simple problem, but I just can't get my head around it.

    I want to set up a simple menu of execution of a control where the user can select different options.  RTM reviewed and set by default no problem.  Right-click on the control when running, the correct menu does appear, no problem.

    Problem arises when I want to set the menu checked or unchecked entry. My problems are:

    1. Why didn't - not the refnum menu that appears in the "Selection of the Menu?" events (user)  Do I have to intercept the reference of the event "Meu activation?" menu for control?
    2. When I catch the reference in this way (changes reference to each menu selection), I get "Menu invalid 1160 error" when I try to change the items in checked or unchecked...  I store the reference in a registry to offset for later use when a different menu event is triggered.

    Can someone please take a look at this VI and let me know what I am doing wrong?

    Why the run menu not can not simply be read of the property of a control node?  It would be so easy.   Or if I know the name of file for rtm, how can I get a valid reference to it?

    Sorry what are silly questions, but I just can't understand it right now.

    All screws are 8.2.1.

    Thank you

    You call system.exit() in the Builder before entering the EventDispatcher. I'm guessing that you add the menu item, but leave the application, and when the menu item is called it is more a reference to the context of the application and decides not to continue. The menu item will not remove itself when the application closes.

  • Capture AbstractActionItem SIGNAL to slip into the menu drop-down

    Hello

    So I need to do anything when I press the ActionItem in slide it towards the bottom of the context menu on BB10.

    I created the shot on the menu drop-down

        Menu *menu = Menu::create();
        Image infoIcon = Image(QUrl("asset:///images/info"));
        menu->addAction(ActionItem::create().title("Info").image(infoIcon));
        menu->setObjectName("infoItem");

    Looked at the docs. AbstractActionItem

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/Cascades/reference/bb__cascades__abstractactionitem.html the action point emits a triggered() Signal.

    Then ran info a bunch of question that did not help.

    • Looked QTDocs
    • Looked at the signals & Slots section of BB stunts Docs

    in my App.hpp file I added

    public:
       void debugText();

    I tried to connect the menu by using the following code:

    connect(menu->objectName(), SIGNAL(triggered()), this, SLOT(debugText()));

    It does not work, and I spent 2 hours trying to figure why not.
    How do you connect in fact these things?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    trigger signal is attached to ActionItem itself and not Menu object.

    And don't forget the Q_SLOT macro.

    class xxx : virtual QObject {
      Q_OBJECT

    public:
      Q_SLOT void debugText(void);
    };

    Menu *menu = Menu::create();
    Image infoIcon = Image(QUrl("asset:///images/info"));

    ActionItem *mItem = ActionItem::create().title("Info").image(infoIcon)

    menu->addAction(mItem);
    menu->setObjectName("infoItem");

    connect(mItem, SIGNAL(triggered()), this, SLOT(debugText()));

  • TC Console shows the menu "Configuration OSD Layouts.

    Hello

    I need to download the layouts I created on Console of TC. But I can't see "Configuration OSD Layouts" in the menu. What do you think is the problem?

    Best regards

    Hi Marc,

    Please find attached image

    You will find that when I mouse over to my custome layout, he gave possibility i.e. Show and by default

    Here is the description for this:

    Show : show this custom layout when you click on the button layout on the remote control

    Default : for the scenario for which you making default, whenever codec get that scenario then it automatically select the custom layout.

    Because there is no option as "OSD Set layouts" menu, maybe they do reference layout configuration of TC console.

    Kind regards

  • What/where is the drop down Menu to the Menu of the histogram in Lightroom?

    I was reading this article on the Lightroom histogram Panel and found the term "drop-down menu. I'm new to Lightroom, but I think I know what she meant. I've searched high and low but can only find references to him, but tell me what it looks like. Some of the docs call it a menu of the Panel , I think. In the docs Photoshop show, the Panel menu, but I'm not a 'thing' graphics similar in the Lightroom histogram Panel. In any case, I want to know how to change the histogram Panel in the Compact, extended or all channels view. Any suggestions?

    Hi Rob,

    The tutorial that you shared is for Photoshop.

    The fly out menu is accessible from histogram flyout menu of Photoshop (not Lightroom)

    In Lightroom, the view cannot be modified.

    Here is the screenshot of the menu of driving Photoshop histogram:

  • Photoshop and elements 13 working in iPhoto you want to edit the image using photoshop elements is the next IPhoto > Preferences > advanced > edit Photos: in the menu drop-down set in Photoshop elements also Ctrl click and chose to change in edit

    Photoshop and elements 13

    Work in iPhoto

    You want to change the image using photoshop elements

    Did the following

    1. IPhoto > Preferences > advanced > edit Photos: in the menu dropdown selected in Photoshop Elements
    2. Also control click on and chose edit in external editor
    3. List drop-down menu edit in the external program photos > photoshop Elements
    4. Go to the image, I work - is selected the image, the user has clicked on change. When nothing happened, I double click on the image. Elements has not opened yet. Then I opened the item editor, returned to iphoto and tried again the whole process. the photo has not yet opened the 13 elements for editing.
    5. I have 3 elements 13 books as well as watched online - all my references say exactly the same thing--iPhoto > Preferences > advanced > change in the external program > photoshop Elements
    6. I uninstalled and reinstalled both iPhoto as well as elements.

    I spoke with the technical support of application.  It seems that nothing wrong with my copy of iPhoto.  However there is no Adobe support.  I waited more than 1.5 hours for chat support several days ago and eventually abandoned.

    You are probably choose the manifest file and the correct file like PES Editor. The current editor is hidden inside the Support files folder. The PSE file at the top level of the PES in the Applications folder is simply an alias for the Welcome screen and what you describe is exactly what is happening when you who choose. You want this one:

  • Add icons to the menu bar in 13 items

    Just watched a video in "Ask Bob" and noticed his window of PSE 13 icons on the menu bar, probably his most frequently used. This is a feature that was missing from PES 11 (at least I couldn't find it!), and one that I had hoped would be made available in PSE 13, as it is in almost every other program I use. I don't see how to do it, and I couldn't find a reference in the user manual. Can someone tell me how to accomplish this customization - add icons in the menu bar (or elsewhere) for tasks often used without having to open the drop-down menus.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    I think that "Ask Bob" uses a MAC and those are the icons associated with applications of system not with PSE - it's like the taskbar on a Windows System.

    You are running on a MAC or a Windows system?

  • ID CS4 - how to identify with precision the existing references?

    Hello

    I would like to know how I can accurately identify an existing external reference.

    I assumed responsibility for a large with many personalities and many others to add document. I've been adding cross-references that use my paragraph style "figure". All my cross-references point to locations in the same document.

    I encounter older formatted text that looks at what could be a cross reference but I can't be sure. I use the nonprinting visible rectangle to clearly identify cross references, I added. Previous authors the made in one or two places, but apparently not at all times.

    What does it mean when my cursor is placed in a word in bold and when I select the Type > dropdown menu hyperlinks and references Cross- and none of these menu options are available? Does not return that means that I have placed my cursor into an existing?

    If so, is it possible to change the format of a cross-reference existing so that it uses the visible rectangle?

    Thank you

    Peter H.

    Now that I have started to use the hyperlinks Panel, I found how to change the appearance of the existing references. Select the cross-reference in the hyperlink Panel, select the Panel menu, and then select divert Options. The Edit cross-reference dialog box opens, and you can change the appearance of the selected reference.

    Hope that helps a person looking for an answer to my original question. :-)
