The module bar contains no Add-ons

Before moving to Firefox 4, I had a number of Add-ons installed. After the upgrade, some have been disabled but was left and the add-on Manager shows them as being activated. However, the Add on my toolbar is empty. I tried to put it back and turn it back on. I also deactivated and reactivated one of my modules (FireFTP) but makes no difference.

4.0 bar the add-on is like any other toolbar. Unlike the old Statusbar where icons / buttons appear automatically, the new bar Add - 0n needs the user to put the buttons / icons exactly where the user want to use the customization mode. Some extensions can still use the old coding for status bar buttons, so these extensions can have icons / buttons that appear automatically during the installation of these extensions in the bar area module is reserved for "the status bar icons" for backward compatibility.

To the extent where the FireFTP menu item being hidden in Web Developer, that has been done by the FireFTP developer for reasons known only to him, he probably thought it was the most appropriate place for this menu item.

    Hello

Please check if a green icon is added to the left of the icon in the Web site address bar after clicking on Add to Firefox. If it appears, click it, check the message and select the desired action.

Another reason could be that the extension could block Javascript or other features of the site.

  • Add on tool bar appears, but add ons, and new custom toolbar only appears when the Customize window open - toolbar does not name in list of the toolbar?

I used view = > toolbars = > and ticked all the toolbars that I want to appear. BUT add it to the toolbar appears blank (i.e. toolbar but no add ons). AND the new custom toolbar that I created is not yet listed in the toolbars available for check or not. The only way I can get to show upward (but no function) is by clicking the Customize button. The toolbar remains open as long as the window is customize, and I can add/remove/rearrange icons, but not use any of their functions (for example. I added a new button to the custom toolbar window, but when I click of course nothing happens, because another window - window customize - is still open). I need a way to lock the toolbar, so I can access buttons to use it please!
BTW use Windows 8 and just went from IE (and fearing that I'll have to downgrade...)
    TNX so much.

In my opinion, which suggests that what you were actually doing was to customize the toolbar of the addons. Firefox is quite flexible and you can for example put the print icon on the toolbar of the modules or the bookmarks toolbar, and not only on a new designed user a custom toolbar.

Many modules are designed by their developers do not make use of the toolbar of the add-on. Some add-ons appear on other menus. Collusion shows also in the Tools menu. Some use the page modules interface for results or settings.

  • What the hell are all my Add-ons?

The last update deleted all my Add-ons. What am I supposed to do, list all of the gd modules again? And where is the bloody tool and options bar? Is there a way I can just get above the url again? It is no longer a preview screen that explains the last update and change to go back to the easy to use? Do you want that I use Chrome in the future? Excuse me, but I'm so sick of changes is ridiculous to make my life more complicated. I spend enough time in front of a computer as it is.

  • How do I set the order and position of Add ons in a simple toolbar add-on?

I have several add-ons in the module bottom toolbar in firefox 4. I would like to arrange them in a specific order and justify to the right of the browser. Currently, they are on the left side of the bar of the add-on.

When you're in the bar of tools customize mode there is a large Flexible space in the bar of the add-on, move all the icons of the add-on to the right of this Flexible white space and in the order you want. If one of these icons are locked together by a bright rectangle, these are the old icons in the Statusbar that can be ordered manually again and will be moved together as one group - the bad thing about Mozilla "grandfathering" old icons in the Statusbar.

  • I want to delete one of the tools of my toolbar and the instuctions taking me to 'add ons' is a non-starter, so what's the simple way to do this?

I fell once trial-error on how easy peasy to do this. All my research I continue to take in complex 'solutions' which are not cut.

I do not know if you have a right-click of the mouse, but using either make a right or Mac, Ctrl click (on-click) on a toolbar button or the command should give you short a context menu with the option to remove from the toolbar.

WARNING: Cannot delete the elements incorporated into the address bar without removing the entire address bar.

    If something is wrong:

    • Some add-ons keep forcing their buttons on the bar. Annoying, but I don't know of a way to block to do.

    Success?

  • I found a Visual bug using the latest Firefox and several add-ons, who do I contact to talk about?

I would illustrate it rather using a screenshot that describing it. Anyway, I don't know what add-on, or a combination, but the first line under the 'View' menu bar element is empty, that's it - a minor problem. I do not know who to contact to display this glitch, is there anyone open to or interested by this feedback?

You can attach a screenshot here in your next post, if you wish.

We are interested, but you're going to have to help us. We are just a group of volunteers here balance our busy lives while offering support for Firefox. Since you already have all the addons installed, it will be much easier for you to understand who is the cause of this parasite.

This is no easy task for us. If you are going to need know exactly what addon is causing this problem if you want to be just about that and give a decent chance to resolve this to the author of the addon.

Since you have so many addons, I is advisable to disable at least 5 addons at once, restart Firefox and then check "Show" to see if the problem has disappeared. If Yes, then you need to focus your attention on individual activation & deactivation these 5 addons until you see the glitch to return. Then you know what addon to blame. I bet it's Menu Icons Plus or personal Menu.

  • Unknown icon on the module Bar

    Hello

Recently, an icon appeared on my toolbar add-on (a blue circle with a white "i" (as a denunciation I)) and it leads to this site:

    http://petzichen.de.gg/?ref=QuickLaunch

It does not do anything. The main title is PEOPLEPOINT and it seems to be a German site and I have no idea where it comes from, probably something that I downloaded, I guess.

Anyway, this thing is in all my versions of Firefox and I want rid of it.

    Any help appreciated gratefully.

    See you soon,.
    Keith

    Thanks for your input madperson.

I had scanned and cleaned and purged my system with Malwarebytes, SuperantiSpyware, Hijack This and same Avast and found nothing.

However, I was made in the right direction by someone who knew that it was in fact an extension I had installed Plugin-Checker - the author wanted to of course that people visit their site!

Today, (just before I was about to uninstall the extension), an updated version was released and the icon / link has been removed.

Don't you hate it when people mess with your Firefox?

    See you soon,.

Hi, use Firefox 40.0.2 on a Macbook Air the ball of spinning of death all the time recently and have only on Firefox... other browsers are ok. When I disabled all add-ons, the spinning ball will stop. When I laboriously disabled and tested one at a time, the ball turns never went away. How is that possible? Maybe it's time to try refresh (called "Reset" in older versions of Firefox) which can resolve many issues by restoring Firefox as his default from factory and save your bookmarks, history, passwords, cookies, and other essential information.

Note: When you use this feature, you will lose all the extensions, toolbar customizations, and certain preferences. See article Firefox Refresh - reset modules and parameters for more information.

    Refresh for Firefox:

    1. Open the troubleshooting information page using one of the following methods:

      • Click the menu button

        click Help

and select troubleshooting information. Should open a new tab containing your troubleshooting information.

      • If you are unable to access the Help menu, type Subject: support in your address bar to bring up the troubleshooting information page.
    2. At the top right of the page, you should see a button that says 'Refresh Firefox' ('reset Firefox' in older versions of Firefox). Click on it.
    3. Firefox closes. Once the update process is complete, Firefox will display a window with the imported information.
    4. Click Finish and reopen Firefox.

Before updating, you might want to take note of your Add ons that will be deleted.

This corrects the problem? Please report to us!

    Thank you.
