  If the Panel is visible and completely empty, open the window-> Menu panels and put checkmarks in the ones you want to display. Alternatively, you can simply press Ctrl/1-6 to bring the different sections. If the sidebar is gone, click the midway small gray triangle on the right side of your screen. Click twice to make it remain displayed.

  My computer crashed and I had to replace my hard drive. I can't find my photo elements 5 old record shop. Thank God, I wrote my serial number. What can I do without buying a newer version I'm used to the old and to my learning of the age, something new is not an easy task.

  If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated that I lost all my photos old and everything on my computer and I would start to replace programs but cannot find this drive after at least 16 or 17 years old.

  A corrupt profile is fairly easy to recover with minimal losses.  Refer to the following procedure:

  Corrupt profiles are almost always accompanied by hard drive corruption.  After recovery, scan your hard disk for errors using chkdsk with the /f or/r option

  The disk check procedure can take hours depending on the size of your hard drive and the amount of corruption and cannot be interrupted, then run it when you won't need your computer for awhile.

January 11 after having disconnected from the internet, I went back to the computer a couple hours later to find a small window with the message "the Web site you are looking at is trying to close... "(je n'avais pas reconnecté) so I clicked close and a white square appeared my picture of office coming to overlap."  It disappears when I click on 'show desktop' (lower left), as does the gadget (right) bar.  However, it always reappears after the closure of all programs.  It cannot be moved or minimized etc.  and seems immune to my cursor. Otherwise, the computer works normally and quickly. I restarted twice and led the 'windows diagnostic support,"that no problem.  virus protection is enabled. The Task Manager also said that nothing is running.

  As a precautionary measure, please run/upgrade to update / download the free version of MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware . Post back with the results. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  The keyboard lock icon was on the home screen until I installed the updates that have been sent to me today on my BB.  Now that the icon has disappeared.  Check the Section help and could only know how to lock or unlock the screen manually.  Check the instruction booklet provided with it. again without help.  Searched through the BB Curve Demo Online - still nothing on the addition of the back icon.  It was so easy just push this button and not to worry about the keys in my pocket or your purse... Please tell me there is a way to get this back... just bought this BB in June and a first I possessed and it is difficult to do without...   Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  Looks like you have updated to the point where the locking function changed. In older versions, you had an icon on the screen. In the latest versions, you use the power on top of the BB button do a keyboard lock. To get the icon back, you must activate a device password... then you will have an icon for Active password lock. How it works now, and the only way to change this is go back to a previous version, when the change was made.

  We have a unique system of Windows XP that run the software of engineering for certain calculations. All other systems running Windows 7, but what a XP system because it's the only thing that our calculations software runs on.

  CPU of the XP computer died on us and we had to replace the card mother and CPU. After the change of equipment, following Microsoft's OWN guide on the running an XP repair, we ran the system repair and got all the way to the login screen (no blue screen not as before repair). However, none of the accounts are there and he asks an administrators password. The system has NEVER had a password to our knowledge, it was built in the House, and all simply by clicking on the Administrative login asks for a password.

  What can we do? We needed this fix before today and wait for the repair of the system to do. Is it possible to enter the system to run the software? We tried the SafeMode (all forms) and they all will ask a password after Windows loading.

  It's so frustrating.

  Thanks for the quick response. I looked into the system with a "start-up" program All original profiles seem to still be there. I don't know how to make them appear well. Can you direct me or tell me, how to make profiles see the place?

  The biggest problem, outdoors is not be able to sign more, is that the engineering calculation software is locked to this PC. It can be installed anywhere else without having to pay for a VERY new (I think that thousands of dollars) expensive key or a new version of the software.

  Yes, it's a problem.
  I believe you can use a UBCD4Win CD or Hiren Boot CD to locate and right click on the files you want to change. And then, if you properly in your repair facility, you change the attributes after you're done.
