The name on my iMac to start

When I turn on my machine, I have a small circle in the middle with a picture on and my wife below name.

My wife passed away on January 8 this year and I have managed to change his pic, but I would like to change the name under my own name

How it's done anyone?

The easiest way is to turn off FileVault in the Security & privacy preferences window, wait for it to finish the decryption (usually a few hours), then turn it back on if you wish. Back up all the data first.

  • How can I remove the user name and the image of Windows XP new Start Menu

    Two questions:

    1. How can I delete the user name and the image of Windows XP new start; and

    2. my computer keeps asking me to press the F1 key to start Windows.  How to skip this part?

    Thank you.

    Hello

The image of user account can be removed by disabling the Welcome screen. Or, by opting for the classic Windows theme. Follow the method described in this article, if you want to remove the user name and the picture in the Start Menu, without disabling the Welcome screen and Windows XP theme.

For those who want to delete the user name and the image of user account from the Start Menu, in order to have a blue white Panel at the top, try this:

    Registry warning
Important: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. Step 1:

    a. start Windows Explorer and go to this folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account images

    b. in this folder, rename the BMP file that corresponds to your user account.

(For example, if your user name is Robert, rename Robert.bmp to old_Robert.bmp)

    c. then rename the following folder:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\Default pictures

    to something else, for example,.

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft account Pictures\No_Default images.

    Step 2:

To remove the user name, follow these steps

    a. Click Start, click "RUN" and type "regedit.exe" and navigate to this key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER-Software-Windows Microsoft\------CurrentVersion-policies-Explorer

    b. in the right pane, the value NoUserNameInStartMenu-value data 1.

    c. close Regedit.exe and restart Windows.

You'll find yourself with a blue area at the top of the Start Menu.

Regarding the pressing 'F1' to start Windows, you have made no changes or was there a system crash after which the problem started?

You may need to change the boot sequence in the BIOS to the default settings. I recommend you contact your PC vendor for this.

  • Change the username on the start to something else, as the name of the computer

    I'm on a domain.
I would like to change the username on the start menu for anything other than the username.
User ID would be ok. Name of the computer would be even better.
I see a number of things that could go instead.
    How is that possible?

It would be nice to be able to customize the name of this poster in the startmenu.
Too bad Microsoft don't think that in time there is.

Windows XP puts the name of the person currently logged on to the system at the top of the start menu. The reason for this is to make it easier to say that the user is connected to a Windows XP system that is configured with multiple users. However, if you are the only person using the computer, you don't really need to have your name at the top of the menu start. You can remove it by using the Group Policy console (Microsoft Management Console snap-in used to edit Group Policy objects).

    1. Start the Group Policy console (Gpedit.msc).
    2. Go to User Configuration | Administrative templates | Start menu and taskbar.
    3. Find and double-click the setting remove the username from the Start Menu.
    4. Select the active option button, and then click OK.
    5. Exit the Group Policy console. The change will take place immediately.

Note: This tip only applies to Windows XP Professional.

This message appears on the desktop after windows starts upward

If you have correctly typed the name of this file, your computer has been infected. Either you have uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In all cases, a reference has been left in the boot file. You can remove the reference by managing your startup.

Because you had a piece of malware, the chances are too high you had others. It would be a good idea to scan.

    Manage startup:

(for XP) Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

  • I'm unable to start the service for the name of the account to Network Service on Windows Server 2008.

Original title: name of the account network Service can be resolved correctly on windows French

I have a service, I want to run under the network service on windows French account. Computer is not in the field, but in the working group.

Service is installed via install and uses the WinAPI functions to get the name of a valid account of localized, which is the AUTHORITY NT\SERVICE NETWORK.

The problem is that service fails with errors in the following event viewer:

    (1) service depends on the Net Logon service which failed to start because of the following error:
    The operation was successful.

    (2) this computer is configured as a member of a workgroup, and not as a member of a domain. It is not necessary to perform the service access network in this configuration.

However, if I go to the properties of this Service, Log On tab and button Browse... to address the NETWORK SERVICE account, it sticks "Network Service" value in field and function successfully starts. Note that it may not resolve the display name 'AUTHORITY NT\SERVICE NETWORK'.

Another thing is that when I put the computer in the domain that manages all the service suddenly starting with 'AUTHORITY NT\SERVICE NETWORK' account but the system does not transform it in "Network Service" on English windows.

So is this a bug on a French OS? Is there a solution? How can I get programmatically "converted" version of the account name ('AUTHORITY NT\SERVICE NETWORK'-> 'Network Service')?

  • How can I change the name to the left of the profile picture on the start page of Windows 8?

I just upgraded my PC Windows 7 to 8 Pro. In the start screen, I changed the profile picture on the top right corner, but the name of the left is not a mine or a name that I have attached to my PC. • How can I change the name on the screen of Windows 8 start?

Just set up the new computer with Windows 8. Spent a ridiculous amount of time to change the name of the profile at the top right of the home screen...

Have tried many scenarios found via this forum, google search, etc... all to nothing does not.

Specifically, I've connected on my MSFT account and change to my desired name 'show' and it shows there as intended, as it does when I connect on 8 of Windows mail, Outlook etc... But not on the Windows 8 start screen.

Advice/suggestions would be appreciated at this point...

    Thank you

    Steve

This start screen name must come to the right of your MS Account.

You can try this, but I'm not positive if it relates in reality.  Use Win + R to display the run, type netplwiz and click OK.  In the list, select your account, then on properties and specify in the 'Full name' box, then restart.

  • The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file.

I moved a listener on a host in a House different oracle. The headset works fine, but EM 12 c shows that the listener is down with the following summary:

The listener is down: even if a listener with the name "AUDITOR", is running on this host at the port: "1521", it has not started using "the target LISTENER. ORA file. CORRECTIVE ACTION: To monitor this "EM listener target" with its current configuration, you must stop the process of listening running and start it using the Listener parameter file: opt/oracle/product/12.1.0.2/network/admin/listener.ora. Alternatively, you can update "this target LISTENER. Location ORA setting"with the location of the listener running, which started using the: opt/oracle/product/11.2.0.3/network/admin/listener.ora.

EM 11 g, I simply changed the configuration of the listener for the different oracle home, argued the change and in a few minutes the listener would show that 'UP' with the oracle of new home. I upgraded to MS 12 c (12.1.0.4) and can't find how to do this. Can someone give me the procedure.

    Thank you

    Ron

    Hi Ron,

Can you please do the following?

-Create a for the listener listener.ora file, stop and start the receiver using the listener.ora file. If the file is located in a default location, set the TNS_ADMIN environment variable to that location before you start the listener.

-Log on to the EM console, go to the homepage of the listener.

-In the Oracle Listener menu, select target Configuration > Configuration of the analysis.

-Ensure that the parameters, including the Listener.ora directory, are properly.

    Kind regards
