Error 1222: The network is not present or not started
I have a home network with two computers. I've implemented such that file, internet and printer shares, a set-up that has worked well for a while. All of a sudden, I could not access the computer on which the printer is connected to everything. This computer, however, was still able to access the internet, but not able to access its own location on the computer network. I ran the Diagnostics of the network and the convenience of homegroup without result. I discovered that the Server service is not running and tried to start, but rather, I got the error "Windows could not start the Server service on Local computer. Error 1222: the network is not present or not started. "LAN diagnostics donnГ not answers. After the Server service does not, I cannot share files or printer, but can somehow get internet to share.
Help, please. Thank you

Dell Inspiron Laptop with Vista installed at the factory does not start.

Ideas: Dell Inspiron Laptop with Vista installed at the factory does not start. The display shows
Indicator of treatment MM061 series white 80% in all of the BIOS revision A13 treatment indicator always goes to the same place and stops. I tried to tap the F8 key, but nothing happens.
If you used Dell or the recovery Partition recovery disks to restore the system, you must talk about Dell problem because it's their software - not Microsoft. We don't know what's on it or its operation. We have no information to help us help you. You need to deal with them.
Sorry we can't be more helpful.

My system worked properly on 25 April and then something happened and now the machine comes back with "Start menu options" but will not start in one of the listed options, modes result in the same outcome. System also starts on the Vista CD.
System begins to boot normally, shows the tracer Green Windows at the bottom of the screen, then the mouse pointer appears and moves but the rest of the screen remains black.
That's it, that's all what he will do. I checked the settings of the computer and ran the diagnostic tests available and everything seems to go fine and passes all the tests.
I worked on my own computers for over 20 years and never been stumped before, but I must say this is a first, and I have no idea what to try to do it now.
Help or direction is appreciated.
original title: Vista 64-bit Black Screen of Death, with just a mobile available slider, the system does not start in safe mode.
See if there is a way to tecover clean your data before doing a restore to conditions of factory that will wipe the drive of all. You can use Knoppix http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (which you will need to do on another computer). Starting on this disc and lla should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to backup your important data.
So since you seem to have no other alernatives, you can try retoring the original factory computer options. However, if it is a hardware problem as could very well be the case, you can still encounter problems after even this drastic step. Then you will need to consider in a reputable computer repair shop (NOT Geek Squad or or a any of these big store centers) or maybe even go back to the manufacturer for repair. Check out several options and compare the costs, quality and guaranteed and then make your best decision.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Computer connects to the network, but not to the Internet, connect to the only local
Hello world
OK, so I have a HP computer with the installed version of Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I've had it for almost 2 years now and have had no problems connecting to Internet... until now.
I can connect to networks... both wireless and cable, but I can not get Internet. I used the IP, subnet mask, gateway and server settings DNS to another computer that works with this specific local network just to see what happens... my computer has failed.
Until recently, I could connect to this WiFi connection in a coffee shop, but the last time I tried it didn't work. I've connected to the network but not the Internet. He told me that the DNS server did not. I'm starting to think that something is wrong with my computer.I saw that the solution for some people running the Norton removal tool, however I had uninstalled Norton almost as soon as I got my computer 2 years ago and ran McAfee instead. I don't think that Norton should have an impact on me more.
Is there a solution to this problem... or I'll just have to try everything that is out there?
Thanks for your help!
Hi MomPlaysBass,
Finally, my problem has been resolved - it wasn't my computer after all. The modem may only be connected to a computer. If you want to connect to another computer, you can connect the computer to the modem and then put it back. My computer worked fine after that. Whenever we want to switch between computers, even if I have to reset the modem.
I don't think you have the same problem, but just in case, you can try to reset your modem - it's a button on the back or a small hole that you can reach with a pen... Hold the stylus for about 5 sec or maybe a bit more and then let go. That should reset your modem and might help you with your problem. Your computer should also have created a restore point... If all else fails maybe you can try to get back to the final point where your computer worked.

ICS error - "the service of the redundancy or the grope does not start.
These days I was facing this problem on ICS. Whenever I try to share my internet connection with wifi, it gives an error saying: "the service of the redundancy or the grope does not start" I have reset the connection, disable on surroundings & & restart the system as well, but not the changes even error every time. Is there someone can help on this desire to please much appreciated.
Hi kaliszewski,.
Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.
According to the description, it looks that you are facing with Internet connection sharing problems.
Please follow the steps mentioned below that can help us to solve the cause of the problem.
Method 1:
Maybe not all services that run the Internet (ICS) ICS are enabled. I suggest to start over and make sure that the underside of addiction services are activated.
1. click on Start, run, type services.msc and click OK.
2. to activate a service, find in the right pane and double click on its entry.
3. make sure that the Startup Type is set to Automatic , and then click OK.
All the following services must be so configured to use ICS:
Application Layer Gateway Service
Network connections
Knowledge of the network (NLA) locations
Plug-And-Play
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
Remote Access Connection Manager
Remote procedure call (RPC)
TelephonyAfter checking and automatic startup for each of these services configuration, close the Services window and restart the computer before trying again to enable ICS.
Method 2:
To disable and then re-enable the Internet connection sharing on the Internet connection of the Windows 7 computer. If it asks you to select a private network connection, select the one that connects to the hub. Check the connections to the LAN on each computer:
- Press Windows Key + R.
- Type ncpa.cpl in the box and press enter.
- Right click on the connection to the local network, and then click status.
- Click on Details. It should show these values:
- IPv4 address: 192.168. *. *
- IPv4 subnet mask: 255.255. *. *
If the values are not good, Internet connection sharing is not configured correctly.
You can also consult the following link for troubleshooting Internet connection sharing problems:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/using-ICS-Internet-connection-sharing
Hope the above caliper problems
If you need further clarification or additional assistance, please let us know, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you.

To solve a different problem, I uninstalled Firefox. After you have solved the other issue I'm tying to re - install Firefox and get an error message that says that "the application could not start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application. "The title bar of the window, said"setup - stub.exe - Application error. "My PC is a Dell Studio 19 all-in-one running Windows 7 Home Premium.
I ended up solving this problem by doing a reinstall on Windows 7 site. It took a little while but fixed this and a few other issues I've had.
