The Officejet 7140xi will work with Windowds 7?

A friend has offfered me an old HP Officejet 7140xi All - in - One Printer.  I need a document scanner.  It will work with Windows 7, or do I have to install Windows XP on my old laptop?

Hi rbj1933,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I see you want to learn more about the drivers available for the portable printer Officejet 7140xi.

There is a full feature software and driver for this printer for Windows XP, but there is only a print driver available for Windows 7 Microsoft base. I have included the document installation of the printer software in Windows 7 for a USB cable connection to see again you. One of the frequently asked questions is how to scan using the basic print driver. I recommend you read this article before decide you if you want to install Windows XP or not.

I hope this helps!

    Hello, Howard.

Welcome to the community of Sony.

Sony has not yet tested iPhone5 with our units as it has only been recently published. If you are able to connect the iPhone on the dock using the lightning adapter, you will need to check the compatibility of the iOS6 with the dock. I suggest you consult with Apple if the home Sony station were found to be compatible with the iPhone5.

  • The Intuos 2 will work with Elements9 on a Macbook please. ?

Hello everyone, new guy said hi. !

I have the opportunity to buy an old tablet with a stylus for $50 Canadian. Can I use with the Macbook it please. I managed to download the Mac of Wacom drivers, but there is no manual in the form available on the Wacom site .pdf. My experience has been with an Art Pad 2 and 7 of PShop many years ago.

If herein, others recommend bamboo I'll buy one instead.

Do not let the Macbook however give the wrong impression. It was a gift of the family Christmas. Cameras and photography are easy for me (the first camera was Brownie Hawkeye in 1946), but not if the end of the computer of things. The stylus on the Art Pad was also easier on my year old arthritic joints. Because then things slowly and progressively worsen. Boy that I ramble on I don't.

    Jim B.

It will work, Yes, with the latest drivers, but an Intuos 2 is a pretty old tablet.

  • My Norton security suite and the toolbar Norton will work with the new Firefox?

A previous version of Firefox eliminated my Norton toolbar and I had to reload an older version of Firefox to get it back. I've been reluctant to upgrade to newer versions of Firefox because of this problem. You are now compatible with Norton?

It depends on what version on Norton you have: I have Norton Security Suite (not to be confused with Norton 360). Free Norton Security Suite is available to Comcast customers. Updates following Norton Security seem to be a bit behind Norton 360. Norton said currently their Norton 360 product can be updated using Live Update and the toolbar does not work in Firefox 22, but this does not seem to solve the problem of the toolbar with Norton Security Suite. It is a very frustrating issue that is causing me does not want to update to Firefox.

  • The Sansa View will work with USB 1.0?

I'm buying a Sansa View 8 GB as there are has exceptional offers out there right now.  However, I don't have USB 1.0 on my computer (in XP), can I use the Sansa?   I realize it load probably wouldn't work - I would just buy a power adapter.  I am concerned about the question to know if I can transfer files, etc.   If it's just the speed-, not a deal breaker.  If this is all simply does not work - a lot more thought will have to go into this purchase possible.

    Thank you!

Thanks for the reply!  I did go ahead and buy one with the Geeks - as they had a very good price.  It should be here tomorrow.  I also bought a power adapter.

I'll look into putting in a USB 2.0 card.  I had considered before but didn't know if it would support my motherboard.  Just getting worse - my mom has a new computer with USB 2.0 in the next room.

I've already knew the earbuds and have some that I had bought to replace the one my Zen.

  • When the Korg driver will work with El Capitan?

A few months ago The Art Of Sound, published a list of audio tools and drivers that are not compatible with El Capitan with the advice "do NOT upgrade to 10.11 until you have confirmed that all your external drivers/hardware and 3rd party software/plugins are compatible with 10,11 El Capitan"

I've been on El Capitan for some time, and today I brought a Korg DS - DAC - 100 m. After installing the driver my Mac (and my son's Mac) Korg crash every time that we plugged the DAC.

Given that we exchanged in El Capitan three months before buying the Korg DAC, what should we do? They are about to release the drivers? How would we know?

They are about to release the drivers? How would we know?

It sounds like a question from Korg.

Unless you find another user here who recently contacted Korg, nobody here knows the answer to this question.

  • My speakers Altec Lansing ADA745 will work with my 530 s the new Dell Inspiron PC?

My speakers Altec Lansing ADA745 will work with my 530 s the new Dell Inspiron PC?

I watched updates of the audio driver for my pc and am not sure which one I need or you can even use it.

Although "4.1" speaker systems are very common, the ADA745 should work without problems on a new system.  I have no connection to the ADA745 info but I guess it would connect everything as you are currently connected to the old PC.  New systems PC audio supports up to 7.1 speaker (with the most common 2.1 or 5.1) systems.  There is no drivers for speakers, however, you need to define the types of speakers in the control panel (e.g. article 4.1, and if this isn't an option, try the 5.1 and see if works well).   Printed with the new PC installation worksheet should detail the audio connections and if not, there is a copy of the Dell manual loaded on your PC and it has the details on the back panel connections.

In Vista, the sound control panel is accessible by Start/Control Panel/hardware and sound/Sound.
