  • Satellite M100-180: where can I find drivers for Win 2003 Server?

We bought a Microsoft Windows 2003 server. I have install then on our laptop Toshiba Satellite M100-180 PSMA1E-02Q00WRU.

With the laptop, I found Windows XP CD and Express media player recovery CD Reanimator. No disc drivers there. May be dealer lost drivers disk? If that - where can I get new CD of drivers (I am from Russia, Smolensk)

I try to download the drivers from the web (toshiba.com.ru), but they are very large (I have a dial-up internet). Then I download driver modem (4M). Installation of the works, but no modem appear after that. And no serial port too.

I plug the USB-serial converter and install Standart Modem (USR external). Then I have to connect to the internet and try to download the drivers with windows update. No results...

    HEEEEEEELP ME! :)

PS Sorry for my English :)

    Hello

: D the dealer nothing lost! The pilot tools & utilities can be created in the Windows XP operating system that came with the laptop.
With the help of Toshiba, you will find a Protect & Fix tab and the option to create a driver disk ;)

Further, all the XP drivers are placed on the page of the Toshiba driver. But unfortunately, nothing for Win 2003 server.
Maybe test it works for XP drivers also on Server 2003

  • Win 2003 Server installation problem

    Hello everyone
I am trying to install Windows server 2003 32-bit downloaded from Microsoft VLSC of my Microsoft account. I downloaded all available versions and I'm trying to start a server x 3250 M3 of IBM, but without success. The same problem occurs with some of the 64-bit Windows server 2008 too. Does anyone had the same problem? Or some advice please!

Server-specific should be asked in the appropriate TechNet forum. In the meantime:
Do not install an operating system is usually caused by (in order of probability):

    1. you are trying to install with other devices connected to the computer. Unplug them before trying to make an installation.

    2. "" "" defective installation media. "" Check the CD/DVD installation for scratches, tasks. Try another machine.

    3. bad optical drive. Test with another CD/DVD bootable or Exchange for a well-known work.

    4. faulty RAM. Test with Memtest86 + www.memtest.org . You will download the .iso image file to create a bootable cd. Burn the file with the third party burning software *-as an image, not in the form of data. Then start with the media that you did (you may need to change the boot priority in your BIOS so that the optical drive is the first boot device). The test runs immediately. The test run for an hour or two--at least that errors are seen immediately. If you get any errors, replace the RAM.

    * It is not necessary to have a third party burning software in Windows 7 since Win7 natively allows to burn an .iso. Other operating systems require it. A good free choice ImgBurn comes from www.imgburn.com .

    5. bad hard drive. Test with a diagnostic utility downloaded from site of the disc mftr... You create a bootable CD with the files you download. Burn the file with a third-party burning software (unless you have Windows 7, that allows to record the .isos natively) - as an image, not in the form of data. Boot with the CD that you have done and do a full test of the reader. The physical tests fail, replace it.

    6. other hardware components are faulty.

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

It would be better to post in another forum. This forum is intended for consumers about Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP.
Given that your question concerns the connection to a Windows 2003 server, it would be preferable for you to post in the forum Windows 2003.

  • CF7 on Win 2003 Server?

    Hello

We intend to migrate CF7 from a Windows 2000 Server to a new server, Win 2003 and I was asked to verify it will run in this environment. I guess, but that is indeed the case?

In addition, with respect to licensing, can we use the same license on both servers temporarily while performing the migration and testing?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

CFMX7 Q1), applications can be migrated to Windows2003. Refer here.

Q2) and I'm sure there will be problems for temporary testing and development.

We have sub notebook and need to install the W2003Server Enterprise Edition 32-bit operating system.
Have someone handy and software for this action?

    Hello

Operating system of the server on a laptop?

May I ask why you want to do this? I don't see a reason for this and portable isn't designed for server systems.

In addition, Windows 2003 Server is based on Windows XP and Qosmio F60 and XP no driver available is. It supports Windows 7 only
Therefore, search all the drivers yourself on external pages if you really want to do this.

  • During the ultimate Win 7 update: an error prevented a compliance audit required to complete.

Attempt to upgrade to Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and every time after the compatibility check, the upgrade fails with the following message is displayed:

The following problems prevent upgrade Windows. Cancel the upgrade, perform each task and then restart the upgrade to continue.
    • An error has prevented a compliance audit required to complete. Cancel the installation and try the upgrade again.
As you can see, there is no 'missions' to fill here, just the same error every time without any explanation, and restart the upgrade just did appear the same result. I have disabled all programs on the unique security system, and the result was always the same. Went a step further and uninstalled all and still no change. Disabled all non-Microsoft services and programs start and tried again, but without success. Installed all the updates of traffic Vista, but that did not help either. I considered the possibility that it is an error with the DVD itself, but physically it's impeccable, so I don't think it's that. I is actually in what is originally in turn repeatedly this error. Even just to know where begin the search would be a great help - the compatibility report tells me nothing.

    Hi Saizen,

Thanks for posting. Use any type of bootloader such as Bootcamp or GRUB? If so check your partition, and make sure that your Windows 7 is the main boot partition. Also, try the following.

To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

Step 1: Perform a clean boot.

    1. Click Start

type msconfig in the Search box and press ENTER.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

    1. On the general tab, click Selective startup.
    2. Under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.
    3. Click the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.
    4. Click OK.
    5. When you are prompted, click restart.
    6. After the computer starts, start the program or game and see if the problem is resolved.

If this resolves the problem perform step 2, otherwise type msconfig to start and select normal startup on the general tab and restart.

Step 2: Enable half the Services points

In this step, you try to isolate what background service is causing interference with the game or program. Start by half of the services turn on and off the half.

    1. Click the Services tab, and then click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.
    2. Click to select half of the check boxes in the Services list, leaving the other half not controlled.
    3. Click OK.
    4. When you are prompted, click restart.

Step 3: Determine whether the problem is resolved

If the game or program works after you restart your computer, then you know the interferent service isn't among the services that were turned on. So, it must be among the services that have been disabled.

If the program or the game does not work after restarting the computer, then you know that interfere service may be among the services that were turned on.

Now that you have eliminated some services as the cause of the problem, you can use a process of elimination to determine which service might be the cause of the problem. You can keep selectively turning services or turn off until you isoliez a service that might be causing the interference. To do this, follow these steps.

    1. Start the game or program and check whether the problem is resolved.
    2. If the problem returns, follow these steps:

    a. start the System Configuration utility. Go to "step 1: start the System Configuration utility" for instructions on how to do it.

    b. click on the Services tab and then click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.

    c. Click to clear half of the check boxes that you have initially activated in the Services list.

    d. click OKand when prompted, click restart.

    e. start the game or program and check whether the problem is resolved. If the problem returns, one of the services that is enabled may cause interference. Continue to repeat steps a through d, disabling services to try to isolate a service that is causing interference. If you are unable to isolate a service as the cause of the problem, these services are likely not to cause interference.

If the problem is not returned, then one of the services allowed to step 2 is a service interfere. To isolate this service, follow these steps:

    f. start the System Configuration utility. Go to "step 1: start the System Configuration utility" for instructions on how to do it.

    g. click on the Services tab and then click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.

    h. Click to select half of the check boxes that you originally disabled in the Services list.

    i. click OKand when prompted, click restart.

    j. start the game or program and check whether the problem is resolved. If the problem returns, one of the services that you selected in step c is an interferent service. Continue to repeat steps a through d, disabling services until you to isolate the service that is causing interference.

If you find that the services in the Services list cause this problem, go to "step 4: enable half of the startup items" in an attempt to determine whether a startup item is causing the interference. If you were able to isolate a service as causing interference with your game or program, go to "step 6: resolve the problem."

Step 4: Enable half of the startup items

In this step, you try to isolate the startup item might be the cause of interference with the game or program. So start by half of the elements start turning on and off half the points.

    1. Start the System Configuration utility. Go see ' step 1: start the System Configuration utility "for instructions on how to do it.
    2. Click on the Startup tab, and then click to select half of the check boxes in the Startup list.
    3. Click OK.
    4. When you are prompted, click restart.

Step 5: Determine whether the problem is resolved

If the game or program works after you restart your computer, then you know the interferent service isn't among the startup which were on items. So it must be one of the startup items that were disabled.

Otherwise, if the program or the game does not work after restarting the computer, then you know that interfere service is among the startup which were on items.

Now that you have eliminated some startup like items being the cause of the problem, you can use a process of elimination to determine which startup item might be the cause of the problem. You can keep selectively turning startup items or off until you isoliez a service that could be the cause of interference.

    1. Start the game or program and check whether the problem is resolved.
    2. If the problem returns, follow these steps.

    a. start the System Configuration utility. Go to "step 1: start the System Configuration utility" for instructions on how to do it.

    b. click on the Startup tab.

    c. Click to clear half of the check boxes that you have originally selected in the Startup list.

    d. click OKand when prompted, click restart.

    e. start the game or program and check whether the problem is resolved. If the problem returns, one of the startup items that is enabled may cause interference. Continue repeating steps a through d, turning off startup returned to try to isolate a service that is causing interference. If you cannot isolate any an element start as being the cause of the problem, these services are likely not to cause interference.

If the problem is not returned, then among the disabled at step 2 startup items is a service interfere. To isolate this service, follow these steps.

    f. start the System Configuration utility. Go to "step 1: start the System Configuration utility" for instructions on how to do it.

    g. click on the Startup tab.

    h. Select only half of the remaining check boxes that are cleared in the Startup list.

    i. click OKand when prompted, click restart.

    j. Repeat this step until you have selected all the check boxes.

    k. start the game or program and check whether the problem is resolved. If the problem returns, one startup items you selected in step c is an interferent service. Continue to repeat steps a through d, power off of starting points until you to isolate the service that is causing interference.

If you were able to isolate a service as causing interference with your game or program, go to "step 6: resolve the problem." If you find that the services in the Startup list cause this problem, go to the "Next steps" section for other resources that may help you resolve this problem.

    Step 6: Resolve the problem

If you have determined what specific context program or service is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved.

Or, you can disable the interferent in the System Configuration utility. To disable the service, follow these steps.

    1. Start the System Configuration utility. Go to "step 1: start the System Configuration utility" for instructions on how to do it.
    2. Disable this service. Follow these steps.

    a. click on the Startup tab and Services , according to the location of the service.

    b. Click to uncheck the box next to the service you want to disable.

Click OKand when prompted, click restart.

  • Tecra M3 Win 2003 Server driver problems

I just (this morning) put his hand on my new Tecra M3. I installed Win Server 2003 and problems with some drivers. With the lack of drivers 2003, I downloaded all the drivers XP and have been installing them without any problem, except the following:

Toshiba Configfree, DVD RAM, Mic effect, Extensions, Mobile, Wireless Hotkey and Intel Wireless LAN a / b and b driver Intel Wireless LAN a / g driver.

These all come with an error something like 'not supported on this operating system.

I also have a PCI device that cannot be identified - (yellow? in Device Manager).

Finally, I get a windows script host error when I boot - program Toshiba Toshiba management Console\toshealthlocals.vbs, line 31, 1 tank, found 80041002 Code, Source SwbemService *.

    Hello

Tok is fair, but you should notice that Toshiba don t sell laptops with a Win Server 2003 OS and there is no official support for this. Sorry, but in my opinion, that it won't be easy to make it work properly.

  • Upgrade of the CVI / Win: now receive VISA error: insufficient location information...

    Hi all

I am faced with the following question:

We replaced our old computer laboratory with a new model and took the opportunity to also move to a more recent operating system (from Win XP to Win 7 64 bit) and to the current version of the CVI (2013 SP2) and its runtime of all device drivers (2014 versions of VISA's most recent...).

One of our data acquisition software (written several years in CVI 2009, 32-bit) now at startup displays an error message:

VISA error: information about the inadequate location or the device or resource is not present in the system.

Unfortunately, for me this information is detailed enough: we have six tips of NOR, even, we used before. MAX indicates all the boards, if at first glance it is not so obvious to me what to learn from this error message, or how to continue...

    Any advice is welcome

After you open a support request our kind local support informed me today that there is a known issue, CAR 242354, supposed to be fixed in VISA 15.
