The password of BIOS satellite 4025CDT

A customer brought this notebook with a mechanical HARD drive dead. While I have a lot of adequate substitutes are not recognized. I guess it's a BIOS problem, but when I try to access it I get invited to a password. I asked the customer, who has the property again, but he has no idea. Is there a way to bypass the BIOS password or is it a doorstop unless an easily replaceable element?

Suggestions gratefully received.

Thank you

Hi John

I agree with James. The BIOS can be deleted by the Service of Toshiba partner.
On the Toshiba different notebooks are different methods to remove the BIOS password.
However, only the ASP is able to remove the BIOS password.

    HI Kohorta,

There are few things you can do if you have forgotten your BIOS password. The only effective way to reset it is to take the appliance to your nearest authorised Service partner who has the necessary equipment for re-flashing your BIOS chip. They generally must prove you your ship-owner of the laptop before it will change.

You can find various utilities listed on some websites and also some means to bypass the BIOS password, but they are absolutely not guaranteed to work on most modern laptops.

  • How to remove the password of BIOS on Satellite Pro M10

    Hi guys,.

I searched all over the web to find an answer, but has no success. So I really hope one of you can help out me.

I have a very old Toshiba Satellite Pro M10 with 512 MB in it. The laptop is protected by a BIOS password that I know. However, the problem is that I want to remove the password of BIOS completely. I know this isn't a big deal, but I find it annoying to type the BIOS password over and over again. Mostly because I am preparing this old lady for my oldest daughter. Furthermore, I just installed Windows 7 and it works well, but I have all the original software Toshiba, for example the HW configuration utility. I expect the download somewhere on the net, but unfortunately this is not as simple as that.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank you

    Jeroen

    Hey Buddy,

It is easy to remove the BIOS password. Follow the instructions posted by Al - eX.
As new password just enter anything and then the password is removed.

I m wondering that you have installed Windows 7 on Satellite Pro M10. It is a very old book, and in my opinion Windows XP would be the best choice.
In addition there are no downloads available for this model and Windows 7 on Toshiba page

I would like to know how to get rid of a bios password. It happens that the machine starts and does not allow me to enter bios or as far as the post screen.

It is a kind of top secret information.

  • How to remove the password of BIOS on the C875D Satellite?

    Hello

first of all sorry for my English, I'm french.

so: I'm a computer technician and I fix a computer for a customer:

    laptop: Toshiba satellite C875D-107

problem: he asks a password of bios during start-up of the pc and the password is unknown by my client.
so I would like to remove the password of the bios reset
    what I'm trying:
    * remove the battery, battery cmos, hard drive, ram, wait 2 days...: no good: the password is still there!
    * I see somewhere on the net, for the C875D, I have to short-circuit the JRST2101 or JRST2001 rider: I try but nothing more, the password is still there!

    any idea?

    Thank you

    Hi XB

Please don't get me wrong, but as a computer technician, you should know how it works.
BIOS technical removal cannot be discussed in public forum because they are authorized personal only.

The BIOS is very important security feature and many laptop owners using such method to block machines and access to the important data.
If someone here explains how BIOS password can be removed everyone can read and unlock some laptops stolen for example.

What I can say is that there are several different techniques, how BIOS password can be removed and it is not the same on all models of laptops.
What you need to do is to tell your customer or your friend that the BIOS password removal can be made by Toshiba service only so it should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.

  • How to reset the password for BIOS on Satellite A15-S127

What is the best way to reset the password for boot/BIOS/CMOS on a Satellite A15-S127? I saw notes on the creation of a parallel loop, but I can't find the technical notes on how to make one. Even if I can make one, it will work on this model?

I don't remember seeing "Clear CMOS" riders on the map and I heard that remove the CMOS battery does not reset the password if you need access to the BIOS later.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

I'm not sure of the A15, but as it is the American version of the A10, the BIOS password reset method should be the same. You need a special adapter PCMCIA. And the bad news: only Toshiba service people have this adapter. He must therefore go to a service partner.

    Good bye

  • How to remove the password of BIOS on Satellite Pro A120?

I have a Satellite Pro with a system password, when I started, I asked Mr. password I was its power off for over a year now, because the number 9 key was stuck in position, so I couldn't even try to type a password.

Two days ago, I've corrected the keyboard. Now the system will just to the point where it asks for a password but I don't know anymore, I tried more than 40 passwords I've used in my past.

So I ve open. Removed the battery during the night. no use. I've read on this forum about the keydisk, parallel dongle. Don t have a parallel port, or floppy disk. I also read another post on this forum about a brand under the RAM that needs to be grounded and I found no such thing.

can someone help me please? There must be a jumper on the motherboard as well.

The system is a Toshiba Satellite Pro A120

    Hi Rob

I know that you are so happy to pay for it. Friend of mine has paid 60 Euros for the removal of the BIOS password.
Anyway, please believe me you can not do anything alone. Sascha is right when he wrote about the different ways for the removal of the password and your model has the worst. I mean it can't be deleted so easy.

Your laptop uses a sort, I'll call him, code stimulus / response. Service must send a code specific to the seat and wait for the response code. If the code matches the code deleted challenge the BIOS password cvan.

Thus, there is no way to be removed from your own.
    Sorry mate :(

  • How to disable the password for BIOS on Satellite Pro A120?

Is it possible to disable the BIOS password on the Pro A120 laptop?

I know the password, but I can't delete it. I tried both with the password on Windows and through the BIOS utility and in both I can change the password, but not turn it off (I get message REFUSED of DELETION).

    Thanks in advance.

    > Is it possible to disable the BIOS password on the A120 laptop?

    Of course its possible
But must know the old password.

    > I know the password, but I can't delete it.
First of all you must type the old password.
In two other windows, you will need to confirm with the button ENTER.
So safe the changes and exit the BIOS.
