  that works very well up to a point every time IE it deletes a page load. but in case I have a view selector in a report or on a table whn I click the next Recordset it only gives me the desired result.
  
  Then...
  
  I was hoping that if someone has a better way to do it... If so can you please share it...

  If you have the Mavericks.app installed on your Mac or an external drive connected, the App Store is picking up.

  The isue is in what regards the data transfer WebADI. Currently system allows the user to download the same set of records repeatedly, even if they could have already been pushed to the project.

  This system leads to double upload of documents by the user behavior. It could be a valid case when the user tries to download the first time data sheet, sheet visiting non-responsive State, with the transfer having been completed
  but in the background.

  Nowwhen the user trying to download, the system is not validate if the records have already been processed and sent to the Oracle projects.

  When WebADI imports data Oracle projects because this is information known by the user and which comes from outside of projects.

  But in business case doesn't want duplicates to come in, they can write an Import Client Extension operation (prior to importation) so that you can put your custom logic to see, already, whether it exists in the system. If already exists then you can stop the download.

• How autoextend affects the performance of a large data load

  I do a little reorganisation on a data warehouse, and I need to move almost 5 to a value of tables and rebuild their indexes. I create a tablespace por each month, using BIGFILE tablespaces and assigning to their 600GO, which is the approximate size of the tables for each month. Just space allocation process takes a long time, and I decided to try a different approach and replace the AUTOEXTEND ON NEXT 512 M data file, and then run the ALTER TABLE MOVE command to move the tables. Is the Oracle 11 g Release 2 database, and it uses ASM. I was wondering what would be the best approach between these two:
  
  1. create the tablespace with AUTOEXTEND OFF, set it to 600GO and then run the command ALTER TABLE MOVE. The space would be enough for all the tables.
  
  2. create the tablespace with AUTOEXTEND ON and without affecting more than 1 GB, run the command ALTER TABLE MOVE. The diskgroup has enough space for the expected size of the storage space.
  
  With the first approach my database takes 10 minutes, moving from each partition (there is one for each day of the month). Would that number be affected dramatically if the database must be an AUTOEXTEND each 512 MB?

  If you measure the performance as the time required to assign the initial data to 600GO file more time to load and compare this to allocate a small file and to load, leaving the autoextend data file, it is unlikely that you will see a noticeable difference. You will get a variation much more just to move 600 GB you will lose waiting on the database to expand. If there is a difference, affect the whole of the file at the front will be slightly more efficient.

  More likely, though, is that you don't count the time required to assign the initial 600GO data file since it is something that can be done long in advance. If you do not count this year, then distribute the entire file at the front will be much more effective.

  If you need less than 600 GB, on the other hand, allocating the entire file at once can lose very little space. If it is a matter of concern, it may be wise to compromise and to allocate a 500 GB file initially (assuming it's a lower limit of reasonable size you actually need) and let the file into pieces of 1 GB. This is not the most effective approach and you can waste up to a GB of space, but maybe it's a reasonable compromise.

  I have a report work off a table big enough. The problem is that when users to filter data based on a date range, the performance is unacceptable.
  
  Enters it the column data is set in this predicate:
  ("MY_DT" between to_timestamp(:APXWS_EXPR_1,'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS') and to_timestamp (: APXWS_EXPR2_1, 'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS'))
  
  This causes the query to not use the index that has this column in it. Column is a date, and therefore the column definition in the view on this report works.
  
  If I am controlled, so the query returns in 15 seconds with the predicate above and if I change it to this:
  ("MY_DT" between to_date(:APXWS_EXPR_1,'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS') and to_date (: APXWS_EXPR2_1, 'YYYYMMDDHH24MISS'))
  
  He returned then to 0.04 seconds.
  
  Why APEX uses the timestamps for date comparisons? Can I control it so that it uses a to_date instead? Is this a known bug? Should I solve this problem with an FBI?

  I have something strange is happening in my report... In the report, I have a column A, which is a case statement that returns the data in the form 1-20', 20 '-40', 40 '-60'.
  
  In the report, it will show the amount of each range.
  
  However, when I download my report in excel or excel 2000, value "1-30" gets changed to "Jan-30", but the rest are fine...» When I download in html or another format, everything works well too...

  It is a 'problem' with Excel, not OBIEE. Excel will try to guess the formats of the way in which data are collected. There are a number of things you can try:

  (1) change the labels in your CASE statement to "1 in 20', 21 to 40', 41 to 60', etc."

  (2) add a single apostrophe to each label. This will ensure that the labels are download "such what." Once downloaded, do a "replace all" replacing the single apostrophe with a single apostrophe. (The purpose of this step is the following: when you download, the file is not really Excel.) Therefore, the single apostrophe actually appears in the worksheet. When you do a "replace all" same exact nature, the 'new' single apostrophe will be interpreted by Excel as the beginning of a literal, in which case what happens is the 'simple' apostrophe disappears, but the value in the cell remains in the form of text.)

  (1) the LONG (and LONG RAW) data types have been depricated for quite a while. Oracle has been strongly recommends that you move to 8.1.5 CLOB and BLOB data types. Why you use the LONG data type? You're still on Oracle 7?

  (2) have you tried to write a query that has a WHERE condition that refers to a LONG column? In general, you can not because it does not support the type of data LONG. For example

  LONG data types are a royal pain to work with. They also have implications on the performance of wicked on the client.

  Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

  Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
  2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
  3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
     • Windows:
       • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
       • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
     • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
     • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
