the printer monitoring

monitoring of the printer, how can I print and then observe what happens during the process of printing what percentage has been covered, duration (estimated) percentage of colors, printer, etc...

Thanks in advance

First of all, you need to use a printer that the driver actually provides this information. If it's available, you can read these values returned by an operating system API call. There is nothing in LabVIEW that does this directly, and if the printer driver does not provide the information to the operating system then it isn't there some way I can think to do.

  • I can not print from Firefox, but can all the other browsers and applications (such as MS Word, notepad, etc.). I get a misprint on the print monitor as if it was a problem of queue.

This is a recent development, but I can not print anything in Firefox. Printing open normally, it's going to the right printer that works... I can print other browsers and applications. It acts like it is in queue and then a printing error occurs and it will not be printed. I closed and reopened Firefox, open in safe mode, cleaned cache/history/cookies and restarted twice. Nothing makes no difference. Also tried printing from the preview before print that had the same result. I can print all other browsers and applications without problem, so it must be within Firefox.

  • By default the monitors of the printer in the registry missing__

I have problems with a printer/scanner.  Then, I started to follow all the procedures in your forum on the problems of printer and usb.  I came to the procedure which you enter in the registry underHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors

the subkeys for the default printer monitors are missing.  How can I restore them?  Not having is not the default printer monitors will prevent from appearing in the box printer/Fax printer?

The spooler starts very well.  I have WinXP SP3 on my pc. Anti-virus software McAfee with automatic updates of cox.  AMD athlon 2000 + 1.66 ghz, 80 g HD, 2 GB of ram.

    What is a thread?

Here is the part of the info I'm talking that I copied from one of the forum questions answered, below.

When you click Start and then click Printers and faxes to try to view your printers, no printers appear. This problem may occur even if you have a printer installed.

Thirdly, remove the registry entries for the default print monitors

Remove the print monitor subkeys can be problematic, which can interfere with the printer you want to use. These may have been installed by the installation programs third-party printer. Follow these steps to keep the print monitors and comes with Windows registry entries and remove all others who may ask questions.

Start the registry editor if it is not open. To do this, click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

Search for, and then expand the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\MonitorsView the list of subkeys. It should only be the following subkeys for the default print monitors:

    ·       BJ language monitor

    ·       The local port

    ·       PJL language monitor

    ·       Standard TCP/IP port

    ·       USB Monitor

If there are any subkeys other than the subkeys listed in step 1, do the following:

On the file menu, click Export.

In the file name box, type the name you want to use for this key, such as MonitorsRegkey and then click Save.

When I looked in the registry, under regedit.exe, monitors default printer in bold above weren't there.  How can I restore them?

I just wanted to say thank you very much!  That was the problem with my printer does not.  Once I loaded the info above in the registry and restarted the system, my printer has appeared in the box printer/fax and I was able to print a test page.

    Thanks for your help!

  • HP Officejet 6500 e709n: restored computer, 6500 e709n parameters are fine, but Digital Imaging Monitor wants to reset the printer

I recently had to restore my desktop computer.  I have reinstalled the digital imaging monitor.  The printer works well, programs on the computer can access it fine, but I can't use the digital imaging monitor, he wants to reconfigure all the settings and requires that I have reconnected the printer with a USB cable.  Is there a way to get around this?  Or I have to go hunt a USB cable and go through all that mess even once?

    Hi @jjustjjo,

If you want to use the SUN, you will need to use a USB cable to reconfigure the printer.

I hope this helps. Have a great day.

Try to reinstall the Dell A920 printer. He stopped working because I kept getting a message saying "soecified unknown print monitor. I removed it by using control panel/Add Remove Programs, now I can't reinstall it on the CD. I get the above message when trying to load it.

    Thank you.

Problem solved. A server called LexBce did not work, it has been disabled.

To fix it, I went to start / my computer

I have a click right on my computer and select manage. When the window open, I open Services and Applications, and then open Services. I then scroll to LexBce Server, open only to the top, under the general tab change the startup type to automatic, and restarted the machine. The Dell software then loaded properly and now the printer works.

  • [LR 5] Soft Proofing - Gamut Warning monitor vary with the profile of the printer?

    Hello

There is something that I do not understand when you use the function of gentle fermentation in LR.

The monitor Gamut Warning feature (top left icon of the histogram when Proofing is enabled) is supposed to show us what colors in the image can be reproduced on the screen. Right? If I understand correctly, the warning is calculated by comparing the current image (virtualized by LR in the Melissa RGB color space) to the display range (read active calibration profile).

Then why LR different show "out of gamut" areas for display when I change the profile of the printer selected when using soft proofing? It's not logical for me.

    I missed something?

    Thanks in advance.

Indeed, they are vague on this issue. My thinking on the subject comes to converse with people from Adobe here and elsewhere, as I'm sure that I'vce has discussed this issue on the forum before. As far as I know the caution monitor is supposed to be calculated after the conversion to the profile of the printer so that you get an idea if the soft resistant color is displayed accurately. This must be the correct behavior as waterproofing can really take a color either in or out of the monitor range. I'm not 100% sure on it though, but definitely, he explains how he behaves.

Also, if you calibrate your screen and write a display icc v4 profile, the situation changes once again as today the display profile can actually contain a perceptual rendering intent, making it even less accurate and the assumption of simple linear conversions one-to-one between color spaces is not valid. Some calibration software packages do however, but there are a few exceptions.

If you want to know if your image is outside the display profile, you can indeed deceive the test to allow you to select a display as the printer proofing profile profile. In principle, you can select a standard workspace such as prophotoRGB it and get results that make sense. But you certainly don't want to have a random printer profile chosen for the reasons cited above. I guess they could add some tricks to detect that you have selected the profile of the current view and not one profile of another to randomly display and then collapse the interface, but it's a case of edge I doubt Adobe would give priority to this. It works very well so simply, you realize that you have selected your profile screen like the printer proof profile.

  • Disappears from the main window of the activity monitor

I'm under El Capitan 10.11.5, 15F34 build on an iMac (retina, 5K, 27 inch, mid-2015). If I open the activity monitor, I get the CPU usage, but the main window will briefly appear and disappear. If I minimize and restore, I also get it for a fraction of a second and then it seems to fall back on the dock. The history of CPU option (cmd 3) is grayed out, although I can get it as the icon in the dock.

My question, then, is what caused this problem and how to restore to normal activity monitor?

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?

After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

    Step 2

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • "Scan to computer" the printer only works for admins

HP Officejet 6700, OS X Lion. Latest version of the software.

Only admin users can scan the printer using the screen touch "Scan to Computer".  The non-admin users get communication errors. The computer is listed and after choosing works very well if the admin user is the active connection. But if a standard user is the current user, then it does not work. Scanning HP utility does not connect on the standard user account to "Activate the Scan of the computer". That translates into a communication error. But return to the admin, and it connects.

Surely, it works in a context of user multi for non-admins. Do the other admin users is not an option.

Standard users can use the HP scanning app on the computer, but the family loves the conveinence of the button "Scan of the computer. Its a nice feature. But seems broken.

Fixed it! I just needed you to give me advice in the right direction. File on the file plist property seemed incorrect, so I changed to match the other hp plist file:

    iMac27:LaunchAgents pdivita$ ls-l * hp *.
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 pdivita admin 395 com.hp.devicemonitor.plist May 26, 2012
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 673 com.hp.messagecenter.launcher.plist January 19, 2010
    iMac27:LaunchAgents pdivita$ sudo chown root: wheel com.hp.devicemonitor.plist
    Password:
    iMac27:LaunchAgents pdivita$ ls-l * hp *.
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 395 com.hp.devicemonitor.plist May 26, 2012
    -rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 673 com.hp.messagecenter.launcher.plist January 19, 2010

He now works in any account. Possible sound when I tried to fix my problem of no printing in January, one of the suggestions involved edit this file plist for HP Device monitor has not started, because it has been reported to cause problems in the past. Too bad repair disk permissions did not catch it. Thank you very much. Scan of the computer is a nice feature. (Although, the constant polling of devices HP monitor I see in the activity monitor always makes me nervous.)

  • Cannot find the connection to the printer on Satellite M40

Silly question but I can't find the printer connection on my satellite M40? It seems to be a place for it on the left side of the laptop - there is a small sign of printer, but the actual take is covered-I should remove it? and how do I do it? Help!

    Hello

As much as I know you can connect printer directly if you use the USB (newer printers). On the left side, there are three ports:
    -Port RGB (monitor)
    -A USB port and
    -PC Card slot

I don't really understand where you found sign of printer there.

  • Shaking image on the external monitor when the Satellite A200 is running on AC

    Hello

I have this problem that drives me crazy... I bought an external monitor for my laptop Toshiba Satellite A200-1 9 s, but the problem is that the image on the external monitor, shakes. I tried another monitor, the same, another cable, same problem; the only way to stop it is to unplug the AC of the laptop.

I also tried to move the monitor further away from the laptop, but nothing.
I can stop shaking so hard that if I switch to the profile AC from FULL POWER to save power... but even with this image is still shaking a little.

So basically there is a magnetic field around here, probably in the portable, which makes my picture shaking like crazy... someone knows how to stop it?
    TX

    Hello

    Hmmm...
I don't think it has to do something with magnetic fields.

Cause she is related to the energy consumption of the computer, it seems that there is a problem with the AC adapter.
If he needs to deliver all the 'juice', this is capacitors to keep absolutely stable voltage may be too low.
These instabilities (with the frequency of 50 Hz supply) can parasitize the signal on the screen.

A solution for this?... If you know how to solder some fat capacitors somehow between the two...

    Or:
    It is a grounding problem
I have never heard of such problems with the LCD (VGA monitors?) monitors. Generally, this is the case when you use an analog video output,
leading to no color on TV.
You have an annoying hum when you connect the audio output to an amplifier? It would be a sign for it.
I had such a problem and solved by plugging my laptop on the sector on another circuit in the House as my audio devices
    So experiment with it.
First: unplug all the other stuff (printer, Poles, antennas, all) these are unpleasant problems with a lot of possible interference.

    Let me know!

    Welcomes Matz

  • me not saying the printer ink levels

How can I get the computer to let me know the printer ink levels?

Technical issues do not belong in the forum comments so I moved your post to the windows 'Hardware and drivers' forum.  Always include your version of Windows when you post.

Monitoring ink levels is a function of the printer driver.  Contact the manufacturer of the printer for a solution.

  • Installation of the printer. error: "printer spooler does not.

    Original title: printer Installation

    Windows XP SP3 home edition:

Software printer installation error message, "printer spooler does not" no printer is installed or deposited.

    This suggestion can help.

    Quote from: http://snipurl.com/1mdayq [www_eventid_net]

From a newsgroup post: "it seems that the print spooler does not and that it was impossible (or not configured to) restart itself.» When the print spooler does not work, printers will be not visible in the Printers folder, and you will not be able to add a new printer. A number of things could cause the print spooler to fail. It's corrupt print jobs, incompatible or problematic printer drivers or port monitors, corrupted file or disc and even other applications or processes interfering with the spooler in memory. If you try to manually restart the print spooler and it fails immediately, he may be trying to process a print job corrupted after the start. It is a common cause for the print spooler failures that occur immediately. If the print spooler starts and printing features returns for a while before a failure once again, then a monitor driver or the port is probably the cause of the problem.

To remove print spooling jobs that could cause this problem, simply remove (or remove) the files with the extension ".spl" or ".shd' of the location of the coil when the print spooler is stopped. This place is typically "c:\\system32\spool\printers" (it might have been edited manually). Once the existing spool files have been deleted, try to restart the print spooler again to see if it works normally. If there is no (.shd or .spl files) spooling print jobs, or remove the old spooling print jobs does not change the behavior, a port monitor or driver may be to blame. " M260142 provides information more detailed which will be useful in troubleshooting.
