deskjet1512: supplied with the printer ink cartridges seem to be bad.
With my printer ink cartridges are different from those shown on video installation. The contacts in video are on the long side & albums, contacts of mine are on the top and the short side. They don't fit in. The number of cartridge amounts to 61 and corresponds to what is printed on the printer. I can't make them fits correctly, they won't with the long (blank) side out but not attach or stay in.
Hello @dawna4d55,
Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.
I see that you encounter some difficulties to install ink in the all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 1512. I would like to help.
I agree that the printer takes cartridges #61. I have the 2540 all-in-one (almost exactly the same model) at home and I also found the initial installation of ink to confusion. When I realized that the main cartridge sticker or label should be facing while he sits on the cartridges and readable installation is a breeze.
For your reference, here are some resources that may clarify the configuration of ink:

trying to access a lexmark printer installed on xp based computer from a laptop running windows7 via a local network. Although the network is configured correctly, when I run the Windows printer installation I get an error message ' Add printer. Connect to the printer. Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation failed with error 0x0000007e"I just upgraded to Vista by using the upgrade Acer and had the problems that Windows tried to download the drivers from Lexmark-, but could not. [the same lexmark printer and the configuration worked without any problems before the upgrade on this combination of machines running vista and xp].
I had a similar problem when I tried to connect to an hp printer that used a Vista driver. Could do this test? Download Windows 7 driver from Lexmark, install it, and then try to connect to the printer again. Andre Da Costa http://adacosta.spaces.live.com http://www.activewin.com

Tried to update and received the error 1722: Windows Print Spooler Service has not started. Checked the spooler that is set as automatic. There are several automatic updates on my machine _ y at - it a mismatch to the printer, a HP Photosmart 7520 recently bought. When the printer was originally installed, the print command worked until recently! When I reinstall the printer software, I can't connect it to the Pc via a router. I unplugged and rstarted the router and I tried to install a new printer. This has not solved the problem that the 1722 error message reappears.
Hi Howard,.
I see that you get the 1722 error when trying to print. I'll help you with this problem.
1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
2. what security software is installed on the computer?
3. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?
I suggest you try to run the printer Troubleshooter and check.

Why did TMP_00 attached to my name of the printer, Photosmart Plus B209a-m
I had to reinstall my network from my HP Pavilion DV6 laptop, an HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m and a router D-links.
Since I did it, the laptop is fine, but I was unable to get the printer works wirelessly. I spent hours chatting with HP printer location, but they have not yet set. I was told that I had to uninstall my USB and let him resettle. I saw on an attempt there is a shift of the IP address to reinstall.
It seems to me that either uninstall and install does not completely remove/replace all necessary files because I saw things like TMP_00 and Copy_1 attached to the end of my name of the printer also, when I looked "Protected from the network connections for the domain profile", he mentions 3 connections.
Wireless Connection2
Wireless network connection
Connection to the local network
I need to delete all files after uninstall, so that my printer name is not a TMP_00 or copy2 attached to it when I reinstall? Is it important that the names are extended or if multipul connections listed there?
Thank you for your response. It seems the best answer I got, here or through conversations, HP Solution Center, original install disc, etc. I saved it in case I have problems in the future.
My printer seems to work fine now, even wireless scan. I looked in the start menu and click the HP folder, inside was my printer. I clicked on that and chose the option to change to wireless USB. I went into the menu and in the end I pulled out the USB cable and everything seemed to work. The screens were all as the orig. install screens and he acted as if it was a new printer with options to save my new product HP and the HP etc shop offers.
After hours I spent on it, the solution was still within my reach. Not sure I should give congratulations, because I'm not going to try your solution.
Thanks anyway. Mark Brorson

Router Netgear does not recognize the HP Photosmart 8750 (wired connection)
My Netgear WNDR3300 router seems to block my ethernet connected the HP Photosmart 8750 printer. The printer does not appear in the list of the router of connected devices and network printing shows that the network status is offline.
How can I get the printer and the router to talk to each other?
Also, I checked the cable and tried to use a different port on the router; no change.
Found the problem...
I shined a flashlight in ethernet printer ports and found two sons/connections are folded. :-(
If all goes well, not too expensive to fix.

New configuration of the printer without cartridge installation
I have client of mine recently bought a Photosmart 7520 and had problems of implementation. When I went to check, said naturally printer "Please insert cartridges setup."
They were told by the geniuses at Best Buy, the printer did not come with ink and bought a full set of inks, which they had put into the machine. of course the machine did not want these.
They claim that they are not come through a set of cartridges in the box and had already abandoned the package wherever I arrived.
Whatever the case may be, is there a way to get the printer accepts a regular set of cartridges and to proceed with the installation, so they can get their printer doesn't work?
Alternatively, it is possible to get a set of cartridges setup somehow?
I understand that you need install cartridges for your printer. In order to get the cartridges installation, you will need to contact Hp support.

I tried to connect my HP Laserjet Pro P1606dn to my PowerMac G5 running Mac OS 10.5.8. I have connected the priner to my LAN via the Ethernet cables and Switch 8 port NetGear. I then properly installed printer driver from the CD provided on the Mac and went into system preferences / Print & Fax to add the printer to the list of the connected printers. Click on the button «+» The HP P106dn was listed in the table (kind = Hello).
I chose this entry in the table, and the dialog box immediately went into action: the pullodwn "to Print using" listed the message 'Please select a printer or driver model' greyed and a spinning wheel called 'Search for new drivers' appeared underneath. The dialog box search but never find the printer driver (I waited for 20 minutes without success). I installed some other HP printers in this way on this machine with no problems, for example, HP Color Laserjet 2605dn. Why this method does not work with this printer?
I was able to connect to this printer with other (Intel) Macs in my house through this arrangement of LAN. Is the printer driver for the Intel Macs only?
I disconnected the printer from the local network and connected directly to my Mac with a USB cable. The same process, and I was able to connect to this printer. Successfully print a document page. Although it gives me a work-around for Mac G5, I need to share this printer with other Macs in my household.
I went on the HP download site and downloaded the latest driver for this printer, re-installed the printer driver on Mac and repeat the steps for the arrangement of LAN (above) complete the connection via the Print & Fax dialog box. The result was the same: spinning wheel looking for a printer driver are not.
I don't know what else to do, or why this facility will not work. I would much appreciate it if someone could give an explanation for this or any suggestions as to what can be done?
Ed
I'm sorry to get back to you on this so late. I was OOT Sunday all day.
Ok. So, here is what happened. As I mentioned at the end of my last post, I was in the process of resetting my printing system, repair disk permissions, then restarting. Reset the printing system wiped out all my printers in the "Printers" pane in the "Print & Fax" system preferences dialog window I moved forward and fix permissions of the drive on my system disk. A number of authorities have been repaired, but nothing that I could decipher impression related ro. Finally, I restarted my Mac and went directly to the dialog box print & Telec.
As the printers pane was still empty, I'm gone before adding the simplest of my printers (LaserWriter 360 connected via AppleTalk) who has always been correctly added to the list printers in the past. No chance! WAITED a few minutes everything is was "Looking for new drivers.". I tried the Color Laserjet 2605dn. No luck. Then the Laserjet P1606dn. No luck.
Thus, this way of solution did not work, and now I was without any driver associated with one of my connected printers. I decided that I had no choice to rebuild the operating system. I started my DVD of Installation OS 10.5.4 to rebuild my system (without reformatting my HARD drive). Once which was finished, I've immediately went to the Print & Fax dialog box and tried to add in each of my printers. In a few seconds the LaserWriter was added successfully, then the HP Color Laserjet 2605dn, and FINALLY, the Laserjet P1606dn. Thus, it appeared that my upgrade to OS 10.5.8 was at the origin of the problem.
I proceed with Sofware Update to restore the computer to OS 10.5.8 and again once, went to the dialog box Print & Fax to experiment with the addition of each of the printers again. Stopping before the acceptance of each 'Add', I could find quickly and successfully the drivers for each of the connected printers. So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with OS 10.5.8 find printer drivers.
After reflection, I concluded that the problem must have appeared during the upgrade to OS 10.4.11 OS 10.5.4, but it remained hidden until I tried to add these new printers to the list of printers.
I appreciate the reference to the last download Laserjet full feature software. Since I was able to solve the problem without it, I mind not do the download.
I want to thank you for patiently stay with me during the last two weeks, your advice and comments. Just having someone to "talk" about it, it was reassuring and useful that I went along to apply each suggestion to the problem. I tried to solve this problem several times on my own before that, the search of the forums, and I hesitated to participate actively – to reach out. I'm feeling very different about it now. Once again, thanks a lot.

As the document of the site controller, I mark & print large volumes of documents. Variating in size but that explodes in general strongly when printing.
Search within Acrobat forums and seems quite common and probably inevitable.Tried with/without feeling "like a picture" but did not really much of a difference. Increase in file and the time required for printing on the same.
However, I think that the internet high speed and or the internal memory of the printing device is too large:
Internet high speed - also the internal network connections - is a real problem
Printing for example an original file size 15 MB I've seen explode > 300 MB but the worst is that I can see the indicator of memory on the printer (2.5 GB installed) increase of slow death.
Takes minutes to load a next page - often with > 50 pages documents printing - multiple copies - really takes hours
Then of course my colleagues do not appreciate it - local printer however not an option yet.
Assuming that the problem might as well not be Acrobat but also somebody can help me? I'm in contact with suppliers of printing device already to see if a larger internal memory - if possible - would improve situation.Next issue will be speed network & internet? 15 Oct status: no improvements made/found yet...
Any help - suggestions welcome! The problem is that PDFs are highly compressed, but the need for printers information is just the opposite. Printers are designed on the assumption there is a fast path to the printer - cable USB or network more quickly. There may be problems of speed printer too: a PDF can have be printed a full page of graphics and a slow printer designed mainly for text might crack.
If printing the image makes no real difference, you have a printer that requires images already...
If the printer has an available PostScript driver (and the equipment) try this.
If the printer is capable of printing multiple copies itself (i.e. send once, a lot of printing, rather that send several times), try this.
If your company can't run to a few hundred dollars for a local printer, then maybe they need to spend tens of thousands on an effective network. (Yes, I know that's not under your control, it's frustrating!)

do not print to the printer wireless network computers connected to wifi
Don't know if I'm in the right Forum but here goes. I work in a dealership service department. I have 4 computers connected to our network. I just bought a pro m426fdw mfp laserjet 4 in 1 ad printer connected to our wifi system because there is no available ethernet jack to connect to the main network. Is there a way to allow my 4 computers send information about this printer wireless?
If you connected to your wireless network, and then run a report of network printer and find the ip address of the wireless connection. If you're in the list use to load the printer using add it printer, the local printer, create a port and the menu drop-down, choose standard tcp/ip and then follow the instructions on the screen. You can also try to load the disc that came with the printer and see if it will find the printer and load it for you.

Tecra 9100: Installation of the printer with docking station connected
I have a Tecra 9100 with a docking station that run under WIN - XP SP1. Trying to install my printer, an Epson 740 with USB connection, I found that I need to create 2 entries for the same printer, 1 environmental off-STATION and 1 for MOORING environment, known as the XXX (1 copy). Is this normal or have I done something wrong.
This is different from my old Portege that keeps the 2 hardware profiles, 1 connected uindocked and 1, and there is only 1 entry in the Printers folder.
Also, if I unplugged the printer from the docking station and later taking again on another USB port,
He will ask reinstall me the printer again. Thanks for any comments from anyone.
I have Tecra M1 and use it on the same port replicator as you have your 9100. The same happen to me if I want to use the webcam on different USB ports. Use it on the same there is no message but using the second port he asks the driver.
It seems to be normal. :)

Office jet pro 8620: should I disable the printer without cartridge installed?
I removed the original HP ink that was defective and took it back. Now I have the inkjet (Office jet pro 8620) without cartridges installed. The printer says not to disable so that it does not get damaged but I'll be away for a week and want to turn the printer off. I will cause damage if they do?
Thank you. I guess I'll have to keep on like this for a week then. Too bad.

How to take the printer ink cartridges OfficeJet 6700 cart
I have a printer of HP all-in-one OfficeJet 6700. When I inserted a new cartridge, there was a false message that says the cartridge was exhausted and cannot print. I tried 3 times with 3 new cartridges with the same result, so I called HP Support. They sent me another printer parts and missing parts had to come from my old printer. I need to remove the old printer ink cartridges carriage and install it in the HP an Envoy. I can't seem to understand and am afraid to break if I push or pull to hard. Does anyone know how to do this?
HP technicians two first talked on the phone told me there was a lock on the side to get (that I never found). The third stopped in the middle of our conversation, he looked up and said that HP 6700 printer ink cartridges carriage is not removable. Thanks for your advice and I hope that this information might help someone else. - Paw - Paw
