The Q10 blackBerry keyboard case

Hello everyone
I bought the new Q10 blackberry and it's a surprise for me to see that four of its keys are concerned i.e. the 'A' button instead of the 'Q' key and key 'Z' is instead of 'W '. I wana know if it's a manufacturing defect or Blackberry Q10 has this default arrangement?

Hello and welcome to the community!

It seems that you have purchased a device with the keyboard "AZERTY" instead of the "QWERTY" one. It should have been an option for you to purchase, or maybe one that you bought from a made a mistake. I suggest that you contact for assistance.

Good luck!

  • Autonomy of the Q10 blackBerry

I bought the Q10 mobile over the last 7 days ago. After full charge in 4 hours (without help), he has reduced by 30%. So, what's the problem?

    OK, makes sense.

After that any operating system set to level on a BB10 device, it will take 48-72 hours for the synchronization of data from device to e-mail, contacts, social applications, etc., fill and finish. Data transfer high after a CPU usage high cause upgrade, which in turn causes high battery usage. Similarly, high CPU usage will cause some lag and initial slow. Ignore and and be patient. It may take 48 hours for all contacts to synchronize to the device. And, the battery will recover after a few days. Just don't drain your battery to 10% or less each time, superior to the load. You will notice a difference after a few days.

  • Protect the Q10 blackBerry with Blackberry problems

    Hello Blackberry community,
Recently, I've had my Blackberry "BOLD" stolen so I said 'no problem, Blackberry protect will take care of all my stuff. "Sound in the cloud." But today, when I got the blackberry protect recovery in my brand new Q10 I realized that I don't have that 31 contact now! Almost all my contacts are GONE! Anyone know what could have happened with the rest of my contacts? I do not understand how the Blackberry protect weekly backups I had put up only ended up saving a small part of my contact list. According to the Blacberry protect the site, the last backup was August 5, 2014. My cell phone was stolen on 12 August, the backup should be updated. But it's not. Is there a problem with Blackberry protect migrate Blackberry 7-10 of Blackberry? No indication as to what is happening with my contacts is greatly appreciated.

    Concerning

Hello there, 31 contacts most likely are from a very old backup, and all your contacts are now synchronized wirelessly with your email. Which is why you don't have them in a BlackBerry protects back upward.
Haven't you set up your email yet? What are the prospects it, Gmail?

    Thank you.

Tap and hold an icon for a second or two. All icons will be begins to vibrate. As soon as they start pulsating, tap an icon you want to hide, and then drag it so that it covers another icon you want to hide. Once your phone sees two icons occupying the same space, you will be asked if you want to create a folder to contain these icons. Answer 'Yes', give the folder a name, and then drag any other icon you want to add. You can name the folder something like 'extras' or 'junk', etc.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Q10 Q10 blackBerry does not connect to the world of Blackberry. Support hard to find.

my blackberry Q10 is the world opening of blackberry and after opening, it only shows a black screen for a few seconds and closes.

provider tells me to ask the support of blackberry, blackberry site shows: no support given.

just think to throw this phone and switch to android.

on the internet a lot of advice to connect to BBworld music app works is not for me.

First of all, if you bought the Q10 the supplier while they are supposed to support. If they can't solve the problem then they will escalate your case to BlackBerry. So they tell you to contact directly the BlackBerry violates their contract with BlackBerry. This site is NOT an official support channel, but rather a peer to peer support forum, where users like you and me to help each other to solve problems.

Having said that, have you tried to reboot the device by removing the battery? You're on a Wifi or Mobile network? Try a good WiFi.

If none of this works, then you will need to wipe the device and try again. Use BB software link to perform a full backup and then reset the security. Instructions for this are here: http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB33591

Once the device is wiped to go through the installation process and connect to the wifi. Then open BBWorld and connect with your BBID. Go at this point and post back how it goes.

  • Questions search Q10 blackBerry on the list of contacts, speed dial issues, lack of features email, contact questions - what happened to BB?

    Hello

I'm putting in place the President of our company with a Q10 of BB new, the software is the latest version. I found what I consider to be some major flaws that need to be resolved before BB away even more users.

First of all, I wonder if there is a way to prevent the search function in the contact list of some areas, including the results - more precisely the scope of the company. Currently I have a number of contacts with the company as "Ontario Northland", I also have a contact named "Ontario Northland' that contains the phone number of the headquarters." When I type the letter 'o' in the search engine it does not have me down to contacts beginning with the letter 'o' as it includes all contacts who have "Ontario Northland" specified in the company field. Response to this question is that, unlike the Z10, Q10 does not the vertical list of letters down the right side to jump quickly to the letter 'o'. I don't understand why it would not be as there is no way to switch to contacts that begin with a certain letter.

In addition, why is there a keypad option in the settings menu if it is absoultely nothing? When can we expect this feature to be completed?

Also, is anyone aware of a way to restore a deleted option "voicemail" from speed dial blocks? We can no longer respect the '1' key to dial voicemail.  It seems that once it has been deleted, the only way to restore it with a factory reset full - obviously not ideal.

Also, why are the hidden squares of empty speed dial when none are set - seems to cause more confusion than anything else.

How is it when a row of blocks of speed dial are filled, the only way to add extra blocks is to go into the contacts list to add another, why not simply fired on another line empty?

I noticed the following bug when you try to set up some speed dial contacts. Contacts that include a first and last name, adding speed dial blocks, only display the phone number in the block. It seems that the only way to fix the problem is to remove the contact from the speed dial blocks, rename and save the contact, then rename it to how it was, then it readd for blocks of speed dial. It seems that this is the case for a lot of contacts that are added via the Activation of the company.

How to delete all emails older than the email selected? This is the type of features that separates the BB of toys like the IPhone, why it was deleted? Bring it back as soon as possible.

Does anyone have a work around for these issues or maybe if I'm missing something can you point me in the right direction.

    Thank you

    Mike

    * UPDATE *.

I finally understand how to use the speed of Keypress function on the Q10 composition.

You will notice if you press the phone icon, drag to the bottom of the bezzel top of the page, then select settings there is an option to "dial quick Keypress ' at the bottom of the list. When you select the menu option has virtually nothing you can do other than to highlight in blue letters. For the use of the service, you must do the following:

    1. in the main screen, select the phone icon.

    2. Select the keypad

    3. on the key dial screen, hold down a letter of your choice on the QWERTY keyboard. You will be asked to link a contact to the key.

    4. Select a phone number of a contact of your choice to link to the letter.

To place a call with the press of button:

    1. in the main screen, select the phone icon.

    2. Select the keypad

3 hold the letter that you have connected a contact.

It seems there is no way to dial directly from the home screen, but this should suffice until there is a way.

    See you soon!

  • BlackBerry 10 like the Q10 and now want to buy a bunch of Fitness that I can connect to it...

I recently got the new phone of Q10 - classic keyboard with touch screen.  Best of both worlds.  I like it.  Past iPhone to BB.

Now, I want to get a fitness tracker that I can pair it with my phone.  I'm setting things to have android on BBQ10, but do not seem to have the ability to download Amazon Apps Store.  What are my options here in the purchase of an adaptation of the band I have with my new phone?  I don't like really what group is - I want just that he could pair up with my phone.  Help!

    Hi @charlesz1972

If you use BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.3 or later, I can confirm that the bands of Fitness such as Fitbit Flex that uses Bluetooth Low Energy are supported. I use a Fitbit Flex myself with the Fitbit app that I've been able to install since the Amazon Appstore. Thank you!

  • Q10 Q10 blackBerry in the sun screen

I noticed that the screen of the Q10 in the Sun will quite dark and becomes very difficult to read. The difference is noticeable compared to the BlackBerry Bold 9900 in the same conditions.

I adjusted the setting to the maximum but this Marina virtually no difference in the brightness.

    Any thoughts, please.

It will be very different from that of your device inherited from BBOS or even the Z10 as the Q10 use an AMOLED screen.

  • BlackBerry Q10 returned the Q10

Getting back to my curve. AT & T offers zero for the Q10. Nobody is 800 help numbers knows something on the BB. No link to a manual so that I could work my way through the problems. After 7 days of frustration I've returned. I want my trackball and a keyboard and a good screen, so I can see web pages. As a touch screen, it is not worth the frustration.

AT & T is not support the customers of BB. If you don't want an I pad or I pad wannabe, they have no time for you. If they are unwilling to support BB, then their site should send you to BB when you need assistance. It was my third BB Phone and waited 6 months after the end of my contract for the Q10.

  • Q10 Q10 blackBerry WIFI - browser error - could not resolve the host name

    Hello

I use my Q10 while overseas for the Wifi only. My SIM card is in my 9900 (thank you BB not to tell anyone that BIS no longer works and WW BB roaming is not until after people buy OS 10 devices, anyway...) but I want to use the Q10 for Skype, browsing and Email while on WIFI.

    Skype works.

Browser gives "Could not resolve the host name" and charge no emails.

WiFi network is good (the 9900 is connected and works, as do other devices). I reset the phone, router, etc. etc.

    All to nothing does not.

A telephone conversation of two hours with T-Mobile (from abroad) was unnecessary and disconnected.

All DNS data seems to be there.

    Please help.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Problem solved.

I have reset the router before, nothing helps. The only way I got it work is as follows:

    (1) turn off the router and wait for the phone to 'do not see' to the network in question.

    (2) turn off Wifi on the phone (menu setting and tap on wifi)

    (3) restart router

    (4) restart the phone

After about 10 minutes, it is finally connected.

    Thank you all,

I would BB would have simply kept the features of the 9900 and just made more attractive to the masses, instead of making an iphone with a keyboard...

  • Problems to recognize and sync with the smartphone Blackberry Q10 with PC

    Thanks in advance to all.

My BB Q10 was not reproduce my calendar and added duplicates to my contact list whenever I have synced.  So, I uninstalled their software thinking Backberry link I re-install and solve the problem.  Now my PC does not recognize the phone (I tried the 'activate fix mass storage) and BB tech support says that I need to install a "div" ("you must contact Windows to request assistance on their part on the .msi file that your computer needs.") in order to download and re - load in the BB Link software.
I know that the problem comes from my PC because I connected the phone to my wife and it was immediately recognized, and you are prompted to install the BlackBerry link.
I know I'm a fossil with Windows 7 and Blackberry, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Like so many people, I had a nightmare trying to connect my Q10 and before that a Z10 for LINK.  After reading a lot of posts become completely disillusioned, until I found a post on the opening of the control panel/Device Manager and see if BB Q10 was listed and had a yellow triangle next to it and then try to reinstall the drivers.

So I plugged my BB to the computer with a USB cable

Open panel / but Device Manager there is no device listed outside the "RIM Mass Storage Device."

    What made me think...

With the always-connected BB, on BB, I opened the settings / storage access and disabled USB mass storage.

On the control panel / Device Manager, immediately "RIM Mass Storage Device" icon in the taskbar, a window and disappeared popped up saying "search drivers."

This has changed then automatically to "Install drivers" and "Finish."

In Control Panel / Device Manager a new device popped up in the area of 'No' called 'peripheral network RIM.

Then I opened the link and it is immediately connected to my BB Q10...

Then I went there immediately disconnect and link back to the Q10 spilled the USB Mass Storage 'OFF '.

Certainly, there is a bug here...

I lost several hours tinkering with this whole process, and it's a nightmare of flashing.  While this may not work for everyone, I hope this works for some of you...

  • BlackBerry 10 you plan to switch to the Q10

    Hi all

I thinking about moving to the Q10 of the iPhone, but there are some key features I really depend on and ask you your kind advice if BB10 is able to do.

    1. I use the Gmail app on the iPhone and it has the ability to save frequently used e-mail addresses that I send to my browser and seized semiautomatic them when I send it in the Gmail iPhone app. BB10 will be able to do this?

    2. the ability send as e-mail addresses as all my work mail gets forwarded to my Gmail account. There are workaround solutions I came across Crackberry.com and I was wondering if anyone knows if the bugs were bypassed which means that some emails don't come through as a secondary label was assigned to them in Gmail.

If 2 above work well, I have very will certainly go to Q10 as I really miss the keyboard!

    Thank you!

    fi5hbone wrote:
I transferred it automatically for one simple reason: my office limits size of just 100 MB mailbox, which is so totally inadequate. This is why I have sent auto.

Ahhh... I see. Well, most e-mail administrators have to put some limits. In most e-mail systems, a large mailbox may endanger the health of the entire system, which can cause problems for all users of one of them having too big of a mailbox. It is a delicate balance that they work, especially to determine what is the definition of "large".

What is encouraged is the use of storage methods that are outside the system/server...depending real e-mail on your e-mail system to work as well as your e-mail client, you may be able to create local files (e.g., PST) that store your 'old' emails and allow then the mailbox (on the server) to stay within the limits. And, depending on the email client you use (for example, Outlook), it may "look and feel" just as usual, just a different selection within the interface of email to get the former goods. This means that the older items are available on this platform, of course, so it's really is useful only when something of really can be archived (for example, you can access these items archived from your mobile device). Email admins don't like really not their servers to hold data "archive".

But, fortunately, it means is that you can then send "in" your professional e-mail account on your mobile device. The only challenge will be in its response... to really just hit 'reply', you will need to go to the e-mail account of actual work on your device, instead of using GMail response point (since, with the answer, it will be limited to come 'to' gmail). But with elements you get to GMail as auto-vers the front, if you then re - forward (rather than answer) of GMail, you can change the account 'from' and it goes out through your work email system.

    fi5hbone wrote:

Haha I know what you mean. Not that I think that there is a work around that, other than to go to the right account to filter it!

You might consider some rules on your job server. Yet once, not knowing what it is, I can't be terribly accurate. But, if you can create another rule, which, after the automatic transfer, the item is moved to another folder on your job server (for example, to Inbox, and in another folder), then it will not be duplicated on your mobile device. Of course, it would say that, when you want to really 'reply', you'll only on your mobile device element which has been automated to GMail transfer, which means that you may not have actually to a little 'answer', but rather will have to use forward and then change the account 'from' on your mobile device so that re-enter the information 'to '.

    fi5hbone wrote:

I guess that's something I have to live with when I combine my emails. Thanks again!

Or... on your BB10 device, you can control which shows in the primary area of 'Hub Messages' (it's a 'Inbox unified", showing you the elements of all accounts into your device, but you can control which accounts actually feed 'Hub Messages'). For example, you can prevent "Hub Messages" to view these items received on your professional e-mail account. If you really want to 'reply', you would have to pull to the left to view the menu of "peek" Hub and then select your professional account, find the specific email, then open it to use this response.

Or, some other workflow might work better for you... There are a lot of choices and methods available. You will probably need to experiment a bit to find the method that suits you best.

You're most welcome and good luck!

  • Questions of Q10 Q10 blackBerry Hope J Sanders can help

Hi I'm new to this forum so apologies in advance if I have bad things. I've always used my last phone torch I loved & waited for the Q10 among many ridiculous according I have friends to BlackBerry phone & Samsung. I went for the 4G active even if I knew that our home would not receive it but figured it would default to 3G, etc.. I was told that my service/reception would remain the same. Unfortunately, this was not the case. My part in all home play, it was my BlackBerry torch was the only phone that could send & receive text/email & make & receive calls. Now all I can be guaranteed is by e-mail. Text is not reliable, called a chimera. I pick up is no longer UMAs (can be a factor). Do not understand that at all. Due to go to the hospital for an op & just recover, I missed the option 14 days as I prefer the above services obviously as I am unable to be contacted when other than the email home. I'd go sim only on my torch. Another very strange/weird problem arose when I tried to enter my email BlackBerry existing my torch to the Q10, it was an impossibility. I spent 3. Hours in phones for U (where I've improved) with a very helpful member of staff (not the store where I've updated) after 3 phone calls from hrs 2 rim technical support who spoke also told because BIZ? Is more on any new BlackBerry (Rim tech support) had to do something their end to allow me to keep my BlackBerry email. What she did quickly yet Q10 still insist on a redirect don't email so no go. RIM technical support (same woman) then says Orange to send through the beam of my BlackBerry on my contract. According to Phones 4U, this had been done. Out of curiosity I asked chap in store of EA that got EA don't do not all beams and even less those of BlackBerry. Needless to say I had to have a new email, I don't want and find it unacceptable that I can't have my existing BlackBerry address that caused a nightmare on the sphere of work. I gave up printing & while the cosmetics of the Q10 is good for me it is essential to make a phone call from home & I really can't my head around why I can't now be on my wonderful state of the Ark of BlackBerry. All I wanted was a new BlackBerry with the same facilities. So no installation of appeal / risky text & unable to keep my existing BlackBerry email address. If I worked for BlackBerry I would not promote this as progress. My colleagues of loyal BlackBerry knowing my experience re calls & email address were not for the Q or Z 10. I myself am currently lamenting also detach my BlackBerry Torch. At home, it seems unnecessary to have turned it on. Can Sanders J maybe give me some advice on how or why the service I get now is much lower on my torch (at home). Thank you Dawn

    Welcome to the forums.

Q10 is a completely different device any other prior BB device. It uses no BIS. It uses standard data available from any carrier plans.

Secondly, with regard to the electronic address .blackberry, which was a feature of BIS and do NOT rely on only this e-mail address. The problem with it is that there is no way to access this e-mail from other devices as a compatible device BIS BB and only to the company that accompany you. If you change carriers, you will lose the email address. They are gradually.

With respect to coverage, your device should be 2 G, 3 G and 4 G. You can go into the settings of Mobile network and make sure that it is set for all bands. UMA is NOT available (yet) on any device BB10. If you you ranking on UMA and then the peripheral BB10 aren't for you. I said UMA is coming, but have yet to see on any carrier and I am not 100% sure it is actually coming. I have not seen any documentation anywhere saying that Q10 or the Z10 are UMA compatible devices, so that shouldn't have been a surprise. If you have been told that it had UMA in the store while they were inaccurate.
