• My Apple apps will still work when I switch to El Capitan?

  First of all, I apologize if it is published in an inappropriate category. I wanted to post in Mac applications, but it has been blocked.

  I have a late 2009 13 "MacBook Pro. I soon will be upgrading in El Capitan (saved on a bootable disc) to Snow Leopard (do a clean install on a new SSD). I know that new versions of Safari, iMovie, Garage Band and Photos comes with El Capitan. But my old applications 2009 as iMovie HD, iDVD and others still work when I upgrade?

  As for iTunes? I just checked it and it says that it is currently at version 11.4.

  Are there apps that I have to buy?

  I mean, I know that many people do not really care pictures from iPhoto. If I don't like a photo, can I just transfer on my current version of iPhoto to my Time Machine backup?

• Subvi with while loop + event structure works is not in multi tab VI

  I'm developing an interface for the control of a prober using Labview 2012, and I'm stuck with a question.

  First I provide you with a simplified version of my VI control interface and the sub - VI used to generate and manage the mappings of wafer.

  The VI is composed of several tabs: Prober initialization, manipulation of Wafer, Wafer map, status, error.

  The sub - VI can:

  1 / initialize the grid to display the map (Subvi Init grid not provided here)

  2 / coordinates XY for import a txt file (Subvi Wafer map Import)

  3 / view contact information and the index of the sector under the cursor

  4 / and what position die is double clicked and the Boolean 'Edit Wafer map' is true, then the user can change the State (color) of the matrix between die on platelets and selected Die

  My question:

  If I use the sub - VI by itself, it works fine. However, when I use it as a Subvi in the 'Wafer map' tab, the plan does not rise and I can use any features incorporated into the Subvi.

  I suspect that the while loop + structure of the event of sub - VI the bottleneck here.

  However I do not know which way to go, that's why I'd be happy to have some advice and help here.

  The question arises because your hand loop 'for' cycles of 33 times.  In the loop of 32, appears your Subvi and execution is passed to your Subvi.  During this time your main VI expected Subvi in the end, she never does.  You could spend your Subvi out of the main loop of the program and run in a separate process, in order to pass data using queues, but you have to find a way to close the Subvi (i.e. a queue).  By moving the Subvi on the main process, it is independent and you can do what you want to do with the events and others.

  Don't know why your tutor/tutor had export you and re - import... is not necessary.

  When you start LR CC and try to open your existing catalog LR CC LR5.x will modernize the catalogue for you.

  The existing catalog is not damaged, but all that it will enter into a new catalog LR CC/6.

  It was the same in the past during the passage of 3-4 and 4-5.

I have a project where I scanned in a drawn hand image, then open in Photoshop, adjusted for the threshold and then in the menu "layer style", I adjusted the "mixture" level slightly to make the background transparent. I have at this point is my drawing in black on a transparent background. I need to make the white black parties, so I select with the magic wand and the 'fill' with white, but it becomes transparent. Then I tried to change color in RGB mode (it was originally gray), but then the magic wand will not select anything. Can anyone help with this?

  Review: after you open your image:

  1. If the layer is locked, the lock trash?

  2. have you Cmd + click the icon new layer in the layers panel to place a layer below what was the background layer?

  3. you return to the upper layer and double-click on it in the layers panel to bring up the layer Style?

  5. in the section mix if at the bottom of layer Style, have you moved the cursor of the gray-scale top of page from right to left until the surround became transparent?

  If you answered 'yes' to all, just follow the previous instructions in my #7.

  There is no magic wand involved

  Three reminders:

  You place a layer of white in the background (as shown in step 2) layer

  You must use the layer > merge to the low order and not the layer > command Flatten Image

  You do not need to save the file in jpg format

  I'm stuck... I have some difficulty to find out how to make my VI attached to behave according to the needs. The highest level 'EventStructure.vi' VI is an interface user of façade to a printing application label (using ActiveX). Loading the VI he sits in internally while loop until printing or buttons on front of output. If the product "select" drop-down has a change of value I love out to the special label for this product file and read a serial number from the label file variable and indicate the serial number on the front. I wish I had the façade VI keep this serial number that there is another change of the value on "Select Product" but right now it only he holds on the front panel so that the next time through the whole loop. Also, the string containing the path to the file of labels only holds in memory until the next time through the whole loop where it is cleared. Is it possible to have these values stored in memory and only change when there is a change in value on the drop-down list box "Select Product"? I do not understand that this behavior is the General event Structures work, but I am unable to find a better way to do it without using a Structure of the event. The sub - vi 'GetNextSerialNumber' calls to an external application using ActiveX and it takes a while (4-5 seconds) so that the application load and process the ActiveX controls so I want to just call the external application when there is a value change on the drop-down list box "Select Product".

  You need to store values that you want to keep in the shift registers. This will allow you to pass the value from one iteration of the loop to the other.

  I programmed a labview vi to add a field to a list view when a Boolean variable value is changed. I used a case Event (value change event) structure to determine if a variable value is changed, it works when I force the Boolean control with my mouse click, but it does not work when the value of the variable is modified by the mutual FUND. What should I use instead?

  Value change events are based on the interaction of the user (or the same ejection programmatically based on the value property node (signaling).)  It is not based on a control change via a regular, variable property node local, terminal or any other connecito0n programmatic or binding.

  You must simply query the variable and determine when it changes.  In this case, you can then use the node value property (signs) in the case of event fire.

  You have your events to lock the front until full.  If you have a keydown event, the structure of the event 2nd he also captures and locks the front panel.  You might think that you have a timeout, but this loop does not receive the value of timeout until the first so that the loop ends.  Your second loop depends on the completion of the first loop.

  If you do not hit the combination just with a keydown event (or leave of mouse or mouse enter and other events that would lock the front) which causes also this first loop to stop.  You have locked your program.

  As Mike said, have 2 structures of event on a diagram when you do not understand how to work the event structures.

  I recommend reading warnings and recommendations when using events in LabVIEW.    This document has a little more items that I think should be mentioned.  But it's a good start.

  Each event structure listend to a button to calculate different: one on the respective fromt Panel. (Even if they have the same label, they are completely separate!)

  Events are mainly for any user, they won't be triggered if a terminal is written by program. If the front panel of the Subvi is closed, you cannot press the top button.

  Can you explain the purpose of your exercise? You seem to confuse you upward in some misunderstandings based on the flow of data and events.

  Please mention the attached JPEGS. When I switch between tabs, favicon image repeated behind the text. In some cases, the image of the vertical scrollbar is messed up, it cleared up when I click on it. -Does not appear to affect performance, simply annoying. Thank you!

  Try Firefox Mode without failure:

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• How to merge the event structures?

  I have a program of VI script that reads a text file of records and displays a structure of the event.  It works very well because it creates all the controls and indicators I need associated with the defined registry and code backend (i.e. the structure of the event).

  After I generated all this code, I copy and paste in the main VI I develop.  Everything works very well.  The only problem is that there are 100 text files from separate registry.  This means that I end up with 100 separate event structures.  Although it works, it takes a lot of space and I prefer to combine them.  However, each event structure has anywhere from 15 to 75 entries, so to do this manually is not an option.

  Is it possible to selectively merge the event automatically structures?

  I guess I could write a labview scripting routine that could get a reference to the structure of the event in VI, then merge... but part of the problem there is that there are a handful of structures of event I want to separate them just because they are not associated with the set of registers, that I mentioned.

  Do not put the event structures in the structures of the event! There is never any reason to do so.

  Redefine architecture your code in a correct state machine.

  (By default, events lock the façade until the event ends and if you raise the event internal or external, first of all, the other event can never fire because the current event can never accomplish or is inaccessible by data stream.)

• How to fire an event with a Boolean button only when you switch on IT?

  Hi, I have a problem with my structure of the event: I use a value Boolean on/off button to launch a State (using producer consumer architecture).

  When I turn it on, my structure of event get "change value" and the code is executed.

  But when I turn it off, the loop in the code ends, but there is a problem: the event 'change of value' is activated again, and the code is run again.

  How can I avoid it? It is not 'on' or 'off' events to the event structure, only "value change.

  Use the NewVal Terminal in the case of the event.  Who has the value of the control.  If it is true, queue the message.  If it is false, do nothing.

  Generally, it is better to have order in the case of events and to send messages to consumers through queues.  Nested loops as you seem to have can create difficult problems of what must happen when.  It is unusual for a state machine need a nested loop which requires intervention by the operator.  Without the VI all I can really say what you do, but I strongly suspect that there are way more robust and easier to do.
