  Before I left to go on vacation, my Acrobat Pro XI worked perfectly. No hiccups, no errors, etc. Now that I'm back and I need to print a PDF in it, I constantly get an error message appear when I hit the "print" key.

  If the problem comes from the printer driver. While IT worked on my machine Friday, they have updated the driver and it automatically sets the posting to Enabled. Now that he is set to disabled, I can print without problem. So I guess it's fixed for now and if it comes back I know exactly what to look for.

• Prevent the 'Send Email' dialog box until the required fields are filled

  I am new to JS and fight with a last piece of code.

  I have a form with several fields. I send the form as an attachment to e-mail and need the required fields completed before the form can be sent by e-mail.

  Currently, I have a display alert message if all of the required fields are empty, but if I cancel the box warning, the 'send Email' dialog appears immediately and I can send the form even if the required fields are empty. I want the 'Send Email' box to appear only after completing all the required text boxes.

  The problem seems to be with the if/else line (IF all fields req. are empty, send alert. OTHERWISE open the box "Send email"). What is the best way to write this? Ideally, I would like to alert to list specific areas that are empty. Here is what I have at the moment - but obviously something wrong):

  Talk with someone @ Adobe (through our IT people we actually received a CONF. call w / an Acrobat expert!)

  It turned out to be the word "subject" in our Javascript. The word
  "subject" is a reserved word in newer formats and is read-only in
  Drive.  So we had to redefine the word & read "subject".

  Questions 1)

  Not because the LRDATA file is fair previews, what LR displays on your screen for a faster loading of the image and will be recreated. The previews only stored in the folder LRDATA is the basic overview created at time of importation for the display of thumbnails and previews of 1:1 for images that you have actually looked in the Loupe View or I guess that appears in the develop module.

  He get all the data to create the image themselves file extracts.

  If you have several files on your system that have pictures in them and you select one of them that you have not looked at in a while, you will notice LR creation of previews for these images, there will be 3 white dots in the upper right corner of the thumbnail. It's LR creation of previews for the thumbnail view. If you scroll quickly in the grid view, you'll notice a few thumbnails of images are gray, until you stop scrolling, then the upper left tile will come in clear view and the white dots will appear on the other images. It's LR creating previews for those of other images. Once LR created the preview of thumbnails that are on your screen, white spot will disappear. If you scroll down again, you will see more white dots

  If you switch to another folder that LR begins again create preview images in this folder. The total number of previews created and stored based on caching of the preview you have in the catalog settings dialog in the management of the files tab.

  If not, you need not the LR Previews.lrdata folder. Whenever LR is not very good this folder with a catalog he recreates it to store previews in.

  I have a vi that controls a test bench. The vi was created using Labview 8.6. Vi works fine and controls to the test correctly when running on the pc where it was created in the full version of software development (which is not converted into a stand-alone executable).

  The problem occurs when I create an executable file and try to run it in another pc. Initially the application seems to work ok but then after a random time (anything between 30 seconds and 12 hours), the application starts to turn slowly and then loses communication with the hardware (cDAQ-9178). After what happened when I opened MAX and try to run the task I get an error message that says that «some of the requested samples are not yet acquired...» »

  When the application starts to slow down, I see a reduction of the available physical memory and one of the CPU usage increases to 100%.

  I built the application using Labview 2012 and use MAX 5.3.1 on the pc hosting the executable file.

  Below, I have included a screenshot of the area of the block diagram which is probably more relevant to solve this problem. In MAX, the task is set to continuous samples, 1 k samples read at the rate of 1 k.

  So now, you can try what BCL@Servodan suggested. Create and launch tasks with DAQmx before your loop and see if it helps. Remove the timed loop would be also advised, and you set the sampling frequency before the normal while loop, as in the official example.

  This would not require too much effort and can help...

• Why the imported bookmarks are not displayed?

  I installed Firefox and wanted to import the settings from my old laptop. To do this, I installed MozBackup on my old Win2k laptop, used to back up my full profile on my flash drive, then installs the flash drive for the new PC Toshiba laptop with Win7, installed on the Toshiba and used MozBackup restoring a profile feature to import the profile saved from the flash drive. This, even though it was on a Win7 system, worked like a champ. However... Later, I tried to import the same profile of Firefox on my WinXP turn, but I didn't see any results after import: empty, empty bookmarks bar bookmarks, even the home page would not display when Firefox is opened.

     When I realized that everything was set OK and everything else was working, but nothing in Firefox (v32.0) was working as it should, I used Revo Uninstaller to completely uninstall v32, then I installed version 23. That Firefox version happily accepted the profile import, the Bookmarks & Bookmarks toolbar displayed the imported Bookmarks, and the home page displayed when Firefox opened.

  Given that Firefox 12 was the last version of Firefox that was compatible with W2K, you were restoring via MozBackup profile to a very old version in Firefox 32. Chance to shear it worked with Firefox 23.

  There have been many changes in the files that are located in the Firefox profile between ~ 19 of Firefox and Firefox 32 - and there is more coming changes to the next three versions that are already in the "pipeline" and probably beyond those, too.

• I downloaded the update to FF twice, but the web sites are not displayed despite my being on the page. Also restarted.

  Web pages (I tried different web sites) are not displayed, but the line at the bottom of the screen indicates that I am indeed on the web site. Previously, before, I downloaded the version nerw of FF, display web pages seemed slow unless I'm assured by cursor was "large" of the space on the screen that displays the web page.

  This work expected in 64-bit mode (it does for me), BUT...  Your display driver is definitely outdated.  The current version of ATI's 8.980.0.0

  The problem is, with a laptop, your display drivers usually has to come the machine from the laptop, and you said that they do not have a newer driver.  I suggest you to contact HP and let them know that their current driver display for your system does not work with Photoshop CS6 x 64.  I don't know if they could answer, but it's worth a shot.

  There are some things that you can adjust in Photoshop preferences that might help move things for you...

  Open the Photoshop 64-bit version, then go to Edit - Preferences - Performance.  Ensure that the checkbox [processor] chart use is checked, then click the [Advanced...] .  Assuming that's not already on this parameter, try to change the Normal Mode , then close and restart Photoshop to test.

  If this does not help, try to change the BasicMode, shut down, restart, test.

• Master Slide templates are not displayed correctly when out of sight of the film

  I have problems with the edit mode mask in captivate. I adjusted correctly the blades to fit the design I want, however when I add a new slide with this layout, buttons and boxes are cast in all directions. Thus, many of the items I'd remove the quiz pages cannot be deleted and when you try to change the text for the default value is correct, must respond to questions box... etc I'm not able to change this text.

  Master quiz slides are very special, do not try to remove all the objects because they have all of the features. You can edit, move things and creating these masters slides question slides you will be able to hide some as rear buttons (see Preferences Quiz), claire.

  The legends of feedback (or forms, if you choose for them to CP8.0.1): change the text in Quiz preferences, default labels, not in the slides of masters.

  As for your other problem, I never had this problem at all. My workflow is first edit the object Styles in the Style of the object manager, and then edit the master slides, starting by the slide master main where appropriate. Do NOT change the blank slide (you can create a duplicate / change this one) If you ever want to insert slides of simulation software. Maybe your idea of slide masters is not exactly what it is in Captivate? Themes are objects, master slides and skin styles and you have version 8 also has the theme color palette that can be modified or customized.

  Tell what version you use is essential for a correct answer. And if you're on CP8, please also indicate if you are talking about a normal or sensitive project.

  I read a lot of threads on this topic. I'm not trying to force the user to stay in one area or otherwise, be annoyed. I would like to just draw the attention of the user when they record the PDF file if there are mandatory fields have not been completed. The alert message would simply be a reminder polite form before sending.

  (1) is the other tasks/Set Document Actions / Document will save the right place to use a script in this case?

  (2) the script will check each field required name? Or is it possible to reference all the fields requested in the document?

  (3) I have seen a few examples like this:

  Exactly how you check a field is empty depends on what kind of field it is. For text fields, you must get the value of the field as a string and compare it to an empty string, something like:

  var val = getField("Text1").valueAsString;

  If there is a default value that needs to be changed, you would compare it to the default value:

  var f = getField ("Text1");

  var val = f.valueAsString;

  If (val! == f.defaultValue) {}

  App.Alert ("field value is OK");

  }

  For checkboxes and radio buttons, you would compare it to the string "Off", which means that none in the group is selected.

  For drop-down lists (combo boxes) and list boxes, there is normally a single value selected, so you should get the value and check the default value (or something else) to see if the field is filled in correctly.

  You could place the script it, but I usually use a separate button that I encourage the user to click to activate the check box. The problem with the help of her saving the event is that you cannot stop the backup.

  The script can loop through all of the fields (and test all zeros required), or you can define an array of domain names to check.
