  Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Tecra A5 PTA51E.
  The laptop stops the start if the power is not connected (works with batteries). First of all, I see the Windows Logo, but then I have black screen. LEDs and fan are on. I have to restart the laptop 3 - 4 times to get a full boot and see the Windows XP login window.

  I tried to update my bios, but I find the same problem also with the latest version (v2.10) installed.
  I also tried to disable saving energy Toshiba but nothing happened. Battery is charged and don't play no beep alarm.

  It is not easy to tell what can be the problem, but I recommend you to set the default BIOS settings. I put t know if this will help because I guess that is not material just a software problem.

  Best way to test it to install the OS by using recovery media.

  Try the following.

  First, download the installer of the Synaptics driver from the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  When windows has reloaded, hold down the Windows key and press R

  In the run box, type regedit and press enter

  In the registry editor, navigate to the following

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Install

  Inside, look for a key named DeleteUserSettingsOnUpgrade

  If it is present, right click on the key and select Edit

  Set the field data of the value 0 (zero) , and then click Ok.

  Close the registry editor.

  Make the Synaptics setting changes you need in the usual way and save them, and then check if they are now kept after a reboot.

• Hyperlink navigation does not always work

  I decided to use a bar of hyperlink pinned for navigation on my site and it works for the first round of the navigation / click, but if I try to click on the site a second time the hyperlinks do not work.   Seems to work ok for me in mac Safari.
