The screen on my Tecra upsitedown

Hello

I was just on my Tecra when I must have done something wrong. The screen turned upsitedown and I have no idea how to put it right. Can someone help me?

THX,
Nothing

Hello

It would be very interesting to know the model of laptop detailed.
But this looks like a NV-turn display function.
You have used a combination of button that activated the function.
I don t know the combination of keys, but you can find these options in the properties of the graphics card. Check it out.

    Hello

Well, the replacement of HARD disk drive is very easy on the Tecra S1.
At the bottom of the unit, you will find a cover that protects the HARD drive Bay.
    A screw covers. Remove it.
Then, it should be possible to remove the HARD drive.

The replacement of the screen is another matter. It is not easy to remove it. In this case I recommend to contact Toshiba service in your country for details.

  • Replacing the screen Tecra M3

    Greetings,

I broke the screen on my tecra M3... around spare parts? Also the plug on replacing the screen

    Hello

The replacement of the screen is a tricky thing it s not so easy
So this should be done only by electricians for laptop

The Tecra M4 has been equipped with a screen of 14 "XGA
But a laptop screen is one of the expensive laptop parts
I m not quite how it is safe, but you will need about 300-350 EUR

I think that it s no need to replace the screen if I was you I would look for a Tecra M3 of second hand.

    Welcome them

PS: All the laptop parts can be ordered at a local ASP (service point/partner)

  • Tecra A11 - 125 - deactivation of the rotation of the screen shortcuts do not work

    Dear users of the forum,

I recently bought my new Tecra A11-125 online and so far I really like it!

BUT: I work with a translation software where I need the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + arrow down quite often. This shortcut has been configured as an aid to turn the screen tilted up.

I disabled the shortcuts under graphics properties (right click Desktop > graphics properties > shortcuts > disable). It worked fine the first day.
The next day, I started the laptop and: the screen keeps turning up-side-down. I checked the settings and shortcuts are always disabled. Nothing seems to have changed... but I can't solve my problem... Strange, isn't it?

Is it possible to disable these shortcuts?

    Thank you

    Lvho

    PS. I use Windows 7.

Hmmm maybe you need to reinstall the graphics driver again
The mentioned shortcut is a part of the software/driver for graphics card. It s not a feature of the Windows operating system. This is why I recommend to uninstall the driver for the graphics card first, and then after reboot again and cleaning of registry (using CCleaner) you could install the driver of graphics again.

    Welcome them

  • Tecra 8100: vertical stripes on the screen

I just bought a second hand Tecra 8100, who has been stripped of all its programs, OS. So I installed Windows98SE on this - now I get a screen with vertical stripes, which perch in the middle of the screen of the laptop with Windows just about visible in the background.

I went to the display driver Toshiba and downloaded Web pages relevant windows 98se. Once on my laptop, the exe file does nothing; is neither their "graphics card" option in my device manager - everyone has ideas as to what is happening?

    Hello

Please connect external monitor to your laptop and check if the result is the same. If so, there is probably a problem with the graphics card. If this isn't the case, I presume your laptop LCD screen is defective.

  • Tecra M9 - lack of icons of the screen when you use Fn + F5

    Tecra M9 XP Pro SP2

Accidentally, I uninstalled the Hotkey utility for display devices and have since been unable to use Fn + F5.

I have re-directed tfnf5.exe which does not seem to do anything, just a DOS window emerged very briefly. I can now switch between the views OK, but do not see all the icons on the screen - I should be able to tab between the four options. How to return these icons back?

    Thank you

    Buddy just a question.
Why you visit n t page European driver Toshiba, Tecra M9 choose and download the Hotkey utilities for display and devices of the common Modules for Win XP?

These tools are available and after the installation of these two tools the keys FN and icons should reappear

  • Tecra A2 - view the FN keys to adjust brightness of the screen don't work

    Hello everyone,

I've just set up my old laptop TECRA A2 with a newer version of Windows XP (including SP3).
Everything works fine. The only problem is that I can't access my FN keys to increase or decrease the brightness of the screen.

I installed all the drivers and I recognized that the problem is a not good installed saver, although I downloaded the 'new' Power Saver for the TECRA A2.

After installation it still appears the message; "You have no access rights to access energy savings." Now, it's strange that I have logged in as administrator of the A2.

As I'm still struggeling with this problem I ask really help and support.
Everything else works fine and well, it's just this question that I am not able to adjust the brightness of the display.

Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you very much.

    Best regards
    JO

    Hello

You need to install the common Module first.
This module is an essential component of Windows systems.
He will perform the other original programming from TOSHIBA to work properly.

Then, you must install that many energy-saving he managed the brightness of the display.

  • Re: Tecra S1 - weird lines appear on the screen

I have a Tecra S1. It has the graphics card ATI Radeon 9000.

When I turn on the strange machine lines appear on the screen... and blocks to move on the screen when you use the operating system.
Basically, it seems very strange. I think there may be a problem with the graphics card and I was wondering if Intel has left the jury on the graphics chip on the system and if it was possible to switch to him?

I've had the laptop hooked up to an external monitor and the same problem on screen exists, so there is no problem with the screen that I can tell.

If anyone has any other suggestions, what could be the problem I would be interested as well.

    Thank you

    Paul.

    Hello Paul

If the same vein occur on the external monitor, I'm sure it's because of the faulty graphics card. The graphics card is part of the motherboard and it cannot be exchanged separately. Sorry, but in this case, the entire motherboard must be exchanged.

I'm pretty sure new costs a lot of money, but only a chance of getting is cheaper is looking for used one. Maybe you should check eBay. There you can find a lot of laptop parts for models of different laptops. Maybe you will be lucky and find mainborad for your Tecra S1.

    Good luck!

  • Tecra 8200: flicker of brightness of the screen on the use of the battery

I have a Tecra 8200 running Windows 2000 Pro. The problem is with the brightness of the screen flashes intermittently, all a few minutes when it's on battery. The Toshiba power saver utility seems to work OK. his answer seems to depend on remaining battery life, that is to say less than 50% there is no difference between 'normal' and 'long life' with regard to the brightness of the screen.
Superior to 50% there is no difference between 'normal' and 'high power '. There is no problem at all when running on the current.

Recently, I changed the battery; the original was a PA3062U-1 bar, but the news is a PA3062U-1BAT. Can that be a problem?

    Hello

The new battery is the right specification for this model of computer Tecra laptop and on I think that the battery cannot be responsible for this.

If you try what Tom suggested it please let us know about the results.

  • Tecra 8100: the screen is blank

Several of my 8100 s Tecra have a problem with the screen going blank. They can be good for centuries, or 3 / 4 times in a minute, it can happen. Anyone know what is the problem or knows how to fix? Does not seem to matter the amount of ram it is or how big the hard drive is that it still happens. For now all I can do is press the button of the screen or open/close the cover of the LCD screen.

    Hello

Is it possible that you have activated a screensaver on your units? But it strange s happened several times in the minute

  • Nothing on the screen when Tecra A7 reboot

For about a week, my Tecra A7-201 shows a strange question.

When I reboot then there is nothing on the screen, but the machine continues to boot.
I can connect to the machine with MS Office remotely and in the Device Manager I see that there is no graphics cards and also without monitors listed.
I can stop the machine and then remotely and the same thing happens again to restart.
To get the screen back, I need to disconnect the power to the machine, remove the batteries, wait about 30 seconds, put battery back/ac on and now I have my screen back.
As I can't even Toshiba/BIOS boot screen to display everything that this happening before that windows never loads.
It happens too regardless the State of home (docked/undocked) or voltage (AC or battery only).

I have no idea if the partners, but also the screen sometimes "flashing" - like lightning just a fraction of a second and returns to normal.

I'm running the latest BIOS 5.60.

Clues? The machine is still under warranty (and has been back to Toshiba for another problem already - so it could be a machine on Monday).
I asked Toshiba here in Switzerland and I get no response, just need to look at the machine (which means that it is gone for another week).

    Thanks for any help

    Peter

    Hello Peter

I don't really know what the problem is here (probably related equipment), but please do not contact Toshiba but partner service authorized in Switzerland. If you need address, you can find them under http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?pf=true

  • Tecra A2: Automatic change of the resolution of the screen

I use a Tecra A2 with an external 17 '' TFT Phillips, connected via the Toshiba docking station.

TFT works best with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 - 1024 x 768 only supports the computer screen. I spent a lot of time, try to configure the integrated Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller to automatically select the external screen when connected, otherwise use the screen of the laptop. I can get both use the same resolution (1024 x 768), but makes the screen external look terrible!

This feature was present in my Sat Pro 6000 - but now that I have moved upward at a Tecra, I seem to have lost it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

AFAIK the Tecra A2 takes care of max 1024 x 768 resolutions and it s not possible to increase it. Well, you said that your screen looks terrible with 1024 px external.
I guess that the display looks like fuzzy. It of normal because the standard resolution for this monitor is 1280 x 1024.
Well, unfortunately you have to use this resolution if you want to have a clear display resolution.

  • Tecra M5: Moves the pointer of the mouse to the corners of the screen - cannot be moved

Had this problem intermittently on my Tecra M5. The mouse pointer starts to crawl toward the edges/corners of the screen, then picks up speed quickly, he will bring back zipper in the corners and no amount of mouse movement. happens if I am rooted in a docking station or not. have tried on many mice with the same effect. Will and without explanation.

Also tried various re-boots, changes to the pointer settings in Vista. Everyone knows this?

One of my friends had a similar problem. Without a serious reason, the mouse pointer moved at the edge of the screen and it was not possible to control the mouse cursor.
Finally, EPA has replaced the keyboard (possibly the touchpad too don t know exactly) and this fixed the strange cursor movements

Then maybe you should contact the ASP in your country and ask for help.

    Best regards & good luck
