  • Why Microsoft did not recognize or set the iexplore.exe virus?

After cold boot my Toshiba Satellite laptop computer with Vista, pane the Task Manager process shows no instance of iexplore.exe. However, after using the computer for a while (using Outlook, Crome, Excel etc) my system slowly grinds almost to a halt several instances of iexplore.exe appear in the process pane, each consumer of 15 to 25% of the total of processor cycles. This becomes worse and worse until the system becomes unusable.

I belong to several thousand users of Windows who is plagued by the iexplore.exe virus. I used 5 different virus/malware removers (including MS Security Essentials and MSERT.exe), but they do not solve this problem.
Why Microsoft did not recognize this virus dangerous and done something to remove it? (ODILE. EXE does not help).  Only users that I found on the web that have to get rid of this nasty virus are those who reformatted their hard drives.  Microsoft can surely do better than that.
Has anyone found a solution that actually works?  (A lot of the fixes suggested on the net "seem" to work for a few hours or a day or two, but then the virus appears again upward and consumes most or all of the cycles CPU).
I'm surprised that Microsoft do not have a solution to the problem. If you have a solution that really works, please let me know. Thank you.

    Hello

I want to let you know that the virus will always be there in the disk hard even if you install a new operating system, unless you do a clean install. Therefore, the elimination of the virus completely would be the best option from now.

You need to do a full scan to remove all remaining virus.

Warning of Security Scanner: there could be a loss of data while performing an analysis using the Microsoft safety scanner to eliminate viruses as appropriate.

Since you do not have a disk, I suggest to create a new user account and check if everything is working well.

To add a new user to the computer: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/usercpl_add_user.mspx?mfr=true

After that, I come to the xp-connection (I've never seen before) showing my user name in the user field and asks me to put a password. (I've not due to the fact that I've never used it)

If I just go along to a click on OK without putting a password the laptop starts up (with the corresponding music) and stops after a few seconds.

  • wmpscfgs.exe Virus

So I got this nasty virus called wmpscfgs.exe or TrojanDownloader:Win32 / Unruy.C as Microsoft calls it. I went to http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9727/how-to-get-rid-of-the-wmpscfgs.exe-virus-a-reader-contributed-guide/ and followed the guide and everything worked fine, except that I couldn't figure out how to get to my registry that the Virus has blocked me (Yes, I was an admin). So I got through and fact all the things that everyone on the internet said to get rid of it. Now my problem seems to be that I can not even access my registry without booting in safe mode and using a MS program that allows me to go through it. What I've read the Virus might still be in the registry crashes me to open as I normally would. I wonder if someone has an answer on what is happening.
I still have another problem, the virus has been removed from all programs start and all services. However, I always get "questionable" programs I never heard of asking the administrative authorization and I continue to deny and it keeps coming back. I researched what programs were and they were not friendly programs and you can download from shady sites for research. I don't trust them at all and refuse to run as administrator. Any suggestions where the virus could hide again?
The last problem is the worst, my Windows Security Center and all my firewall and Windows Defender are all completely off and there different errors each time. One is I have no rights to enable the centre of security or a .dll error in the Windows folder. My antivirus is Panda Cloud (very nice, he stopped all attacks virus, but could not find the virus itself, because the virus is called a trusted application, i.e. Adobe Acrobat, the .exe file has been replaced by the virus for if I try to run Acrobat it works the virus and the .exe original he puts just a space between the name and the .exe) and according to my knowledge and use the product for a certain time he always let Windows Security Centre along the coast with Panda Cloud.
I know it's long but I was literally dealing with this for a few days and finally have to ask for help. Then with a cherry on the top and a thank you in advance, please help me.
    See you soon.

    Hi chapacha,

Looks like the infection by the virus is still present on the computer that is causing other issues.

First of all, I would say that you clean the computer of infection by the virus and then check.
Also, make sure that you have connected the administrator account.

  • Infect winlogon.exe, explorer.exe virus and virus Hosts-DNS

    Hi guys,.

A laptop computer, that I'm not using has recently been infected with a virus from winlogon.exe and explorer.exe and one DNS host virus.
I tried to use avast: edition free, malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy.
And as a last resort, I used Norton Power Eraser...

The problem is not cleaner Antivirus or antispyware can eliminate this type of virus.
And not boot into safe mode and try to remove it from there do not remove viruses at all.
I took this laptop a laptop technician where he took out the hard drive and scanned for viruses, but when I came back the virus or on it.

What can I do to remove these viruses, since it has severely reduced performance on my pc and the virus's keep redirect my Web pages, I will be using internet explore?
I think that the virus has embedded themselves inside the windows operating system.

    Thank you
    Brent

    Hi mate

Usually the explorer.exe, winlogon.exe are running Microsoft files and these files belongs to the Windows operating system and must be placed in the folder C:\Windows\System32.
If it a case then these are not viruses.

However, you can try the Antivirus application free Avira Antivirus software.
Google for it you can download it for free.
Scan the system and check again.

As a last option, I recommend reinstalling the system using the Toshiba recovery disc!
That would erase everything from the HARD drive.

  • A Virus infect my computer from the system restore?

My computer has been infected recently by (I think) a kind of malware that would be redirecting My search Google results (with a warning of Google chrome that the site had a low signature) and remove Windows Defender. I tried many possible solutions on the internet, but none of them worked. In the end, I decided to do a system restore to about two days before, he started, and my computer seems to work very well.

After the restoration of the system, I installed AVG Antivirus (paid version / pro) and did a full scan of the computer. I think he deleted something like that harmful things we found on my computer.
Now, three days after the system restore, I've read a few articles and questions on the internet that says a system restore does not remove a virus and that she could hide in the system restore files. I don't know if this is related, but some sites will not load for me (like 'wiiublog' and 'malwarebytes' Web sites), and when I check on another site (like 'downforeveryoneorjustme'), he says that the Web sites are on the rise. In addition, some Web sites load with just the words and links, but no images.
The virus infect my computer in system restore files? It still does damage to my computer?
If so, is there something I need to check my files system restore (I read that you need to turn off and do another scan, but I don't want to do anything without first aid)?
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2.
I also Iobit Advanced Systemcare running.

If this is the case, no matter what your problem was, it was probably not
malware. A system restore is rarely effective in eliminating
    malware.

After the restoration of the system, I installed AVG Antivirus (paid version / pro) and did a full scan of the computer. I think he deleted something like that harmful things we found on my computer.

In my opinion, AVG, who was one of the best anti-virus programs
is no longer. There are several better choices:

For an anti-virus program, I recommend eSet NOD32 or Kaspersky, if you
are willing to pay for it. If you want a free anti-virus, I recommend
(do not run more than one antivirus program) one of the following
    three:

    Avira AntiVir
    Avast
    Microsoft Security Essentials

You also need anti-spyware software (even if you run a program such as)
Microsoft Security Essentials, with integrated anti-spyware capability
It). I recommend that you download and install MalwareBytes (freeware)
    AntiMalware

Now, three days after the system restore, I've read a few articles and questions on the internet that says a system restore does not remove a virus and that she could hide in the system restore files.

An infection in a restore point is completely harmless, unless you
    restore from this restore point.
The only way to remove the virus is to turn off System Restore, then again, but who's going to delete all the your restore points, not just the one (s) infected. Alternatively, you can just wait for the points that are infected at the end of the chain - a maximum of 90 days of fall.
My preference is to wait 90 days.
