The search for bookmarks in the library can display of the folders containing each bookmark?

I use the search function in the library under 'organize bookmarks' to help identify duplicate bookmarks. It would be much simpler if a column showing the folder was also indicated for each bookmark.

Try this extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/show-parent-folder/

After install and restart Firefox

  • Open the 'library' bookmarks > show all bookmarks
  • Right-click on the right pane of the column headings, check / click the headings of column you want displayed. Parent folder column is added by on the extension
  • column headers to Drag left/right to the position that meet your needs.

  • The search for bookmarks in the library "Show all bookmarks": output is missing an * important * thing...

    (1) open a library "show all bookmarks".
    (2) search for any article you know is there, but you don't know where he is among the Favorites.
    3) click on any element in the resulting list.
    (4) you will see a lot of information about the item (bookmark), you clicked on.

What you want * NOT * see is this very important piece of information: the LOCATION IN THE LIBRARY OF THIS BOOKMARK.

Where this bookmark is placed in the library? In what folder/subfolder?

I invite the developers of FireFox to add this info. Please...

    Thank you!

There is an add-on for this:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/show-parent-folder/

After installation and activation of the extension, Parent folder must appear on the list of columns in the Library dialog box.

If you want to see the full hierarchy the bookmark rather that just the name of the folder, you can set the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Find show Parent folder on the right, then click on the Options button.

Note: The extension was created more than 7 years ago and he's still not a built-in feature, so please don't hold your breath!

  • Search for bookmarks tells me if I have a particular bookmark, but not when it is filed

Years ago, while Netscape was the browser of choice for those who do not use Internet Explorer, Netscape bookmarks had a search function where he'll tell not only if you had saved a particular bookmark, but also the folder where you have this product. IIRC, about six years stopped Netscape that informs the user when the bookmark you were looking for was introduced. It seemed strange to me that Netscape abandoned this function, and Firefox does not either. Firefox search only tells you if you have the bookmark. At the moment I can't say where I filed a bookmark and it's frustrating me trying to locate where I placed it.

My question: is there a Firefox Add-on that will tell me where the bookmark has been filed?

  • Search for the text value data store

Hello, I have a PDO of data to store, and I would like to search for a text value in a quantity of measure.  In each of my test series, there is a quantity of measure with the name TCNAME and stores the cell name of test in the string format.  I would like to get all the TCNAMEs that contain "TC4" for example.  Currently, I have to load TCNAME in the portal and display it in an array of string.

Any ideas how I can do this?

I assume you are using a PUMA testbed that stores this kind of goods on a unique value chain chains.

There is no direct search method, so I guess that a script is the only solution we can offer.

Datafinder you can search for the minimum and maximum of a channel. That would be too much work in the store of ASAM.

    "PDO / cpp"
protected tcnameMQs: set tcnameMQs = store. GetElementList ("MeasurementQuantity", "name = TCNAME", true)
protected tcnameMQ: for each tcnameMQ in tcnameMQs
MsgBox tcnameMq.References ("local_columns"). Elements (1). Properties ("values"). Value
    Next

    ' AOP5 / Corba
protected tcnameLCs: set tcnameLCs = store. GetElementList ("LocalColumn", "measurement_quantity.name = TCNAME", true)
protected tcnameLC: for each tcnameLC in tcnameLCs
    MsgBox tcnameLC.Properties ("values"). Value
    Next

I have added the example which should be the shortest path from my point of view. In AOP5, you can search LocalColumn and spend BA which is less overhead.

It is perhaps a good idea to post-processing of the data base and crush the decription "Test name" by

"The test cell name == NAME. You can search not post-processed by Searchin' for.

protected tcnameMQs: set tcnameMQs = store. GetElementList ("MeasurementQuantity", "description = name of the test cell", true)
protected tcnameMQ: for each tcnameMQ in tcnameMQs
tcnameMQ.Properties ("description"). Value = "name of the test cell is" & tcnameMq.References ("local_columns"). Elements (1). Properties ("values"). Value
    Next
    Store.Save

Thereafter, you would be able to search for it.

    Greetings

  • Search for names of file with Engine.SearchFiles?

I posted my comment to a solved thread: http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-TestStand/searchfiles/td-p/2364238/page/2

and I don't have a solution. If I post in a new thread now.

Is it possible to search for substring in a file name using the Engine.SearchFiles method? I know, that there is a SearchOptions_RegExpr, but I couldn't know how to search for file names. I can find files that contain expressions, variables etc but not file names.

    So, is it still possible?

SearchFiles is only for research purposes in the files. Take a look at the FindFiles sequence in:

    \Components\Tools\ForEach.SEQ

This sequence search for all files in a directory tree by using direct calls to the WIN32 API. You could probably just call this sequence directly to do what you ask.

  • How can I replace one chart with each other?

Know it would sound really stupid.  .  BUT:

I have a simple page of mailing labels Avery to print. He has 30 top with a graphic [jpeg] labels in each label. I want to replace the graphics of origin by another.

The original icon is located on a layer [all 30 graphics]

I imported the new graphics on another layer on the plateau of dough. It is the right size and does not need resizing.

How can I replace all 30 graphics at the same time with the new graphics imported from the map of the dough?

I did once before and don't remember how to do it.

Tried search for it / replace it, but can't get it to 'find' the chart. There the text options but no graphics find capabilities. And may not know how to use the selection 'object '. Or there is something that I'm NOT just doing! ?? !!

Any help will be MOST appreciated. I'm on a PC [InDesign CS3]

    Ellen

    Hi Ellen,.

We've all been there, so not to worry.

I think it may be a limitation of CS3, if I threw my mind back, you can't do this exercise with a single click. With CS5 and CS6, multiple instances of the same file are grouped in the links Panel to allow everyone to be updated with a single click.

For CS3, once you have replaced an image, you will find may be easier and faster to select the new image with the direct Selection (white arrow in the tools Panel) tool, copy the image. Then switch to the selection tool (black arrow in the tools Panel) select one of the other boxes with the old image, right click (or control click on) and select Paste inside. Repeat this step for each of the remaining boxes which need to update. It would be perhaps faster than using the links Panel in these circumstances.

  • Can I search for a word in the description of a bookmark?

When I add a bookmark, I often add a description.
Another reason why a lot of my favorites are the descriptions is that I am an old user of delicious and I imported these bookmarks in Firefox.
So I would like to search for words that I wrote in the description, because the description is often more significant than the label, the name or the URL.
But unfortunately Firefox does not resemble the description during the search in bookmarks.
    Nor find any extension.

A backup of bookmarks HTML includes descriptions, so you could open such a backup in a tab and use the search bar to search the page.

You can make Firefox create an automatic HTML (bookmarks.html) backup when you exit Firefox, if you set the pref to true on the subject browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML: config page.

This backup is created by default in the profile as bookmarks.html folder whenever you close Firefox, but you can set the file name and the path through the pref browser.bookmarks.file on the topic: config page.

The pref browser.bookmarks.file does not exist by default and you must create a new pref to string with the name browser.bookmarks.file and set the value to the full path of the file backup bookmarks including the name of the file.

  • I can't get my default address bar, whenever I try to do a search for it a message pops up saying that the address is not valid, that the URL is not valid

I'm sure that you when it is able to search from the location bar, however I can't do that. If you just type a Word, a message appears saying it was not valid, or a valid url. If you type in a word associated with a web page, it will go to this page... for example, if you type in the fire engine, I get the message, but if I type in snopes, it goes to www.snopes .com

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do not click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

One possible cause is security software (firewall, antivirus) that prevents or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    See:

Do a clean reinstall and remove the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a new copy of Firefox.

Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current version of Firefox, if possible, the settings in the software security and cleaning of the Windows registry.

    • Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you will also lose your personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.

If you keep problems also create a new profile.

So I have to change the default to Google Maps then back to Google to search for one.

  • A folder of bookmarks disappeared, but when I search in the sidebar for some sites, they appear, then how to search for the folder?

The folder has disappeared from the sidebar and I get each of the other folders, but not luck. Yet when I do a search of bookmarks for entries individually, they appear. • How can I change the code of the search for a site that I added to the search bar?

I added to my search bar YourDictionary . When I put in a word (for example, the minutiae) and press [Enter], the address bar shows, http://www.yourdictionary.com/search?ydQ=minutiae and the default search "search" Word is shown on the page that appears, not YourDictionary my desired search word. When I put in my desired word into the search field on the YourDictionary page, the address bar shows, http://www.yourdictionary.com/minutiae therefore, it seems that the FF search bar sends an incorrect code. How can I customize what it sends to YourDictionary or any site I want to search for. Thanks for a great browser.

This search plugin seems to be broken.

You can edit the yourdictionary.xml file in the searchplugins folder in Firefox profiles folder

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: opens showing the file

    Current model:

    template="http://www.yourdictionary.com/search?ydQ={searchTerms}"

    Replace:
