The Sims 2 is listed as not compatible with Windows 7, but expansion is. It will be the game does work if I install the extension?

In the Windows 7 Compatibility Center it is said that the Sims 2 is not compatible with Windows 7. However, it is said that an extension kit is compatible. This means that it will work if I install the extension?

original title: The Sims 2 compatibility
I had no problem running a Sims 2 expanded on a Windows 7 (x 64)
System. I don't remember trying to run the Sims 2; at the moment I have
has obtained a Windows 7 system, I got all the extensions and Packs of Stuff, then
I installed them all in one session.

I recommend installing the program and download the application of all
updates to the core of the program, and then do the same for each subsequent
expansion or Stuff Pack, in the order they were released.  Download
and apply all updates for a given extension / pack before installing the
next expansion/pack.

So say microsoft digital image suite is not compatible with Windows 7, but I just read this on a forum and other people were in agreement:

"I have Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006 and installed on Windows 7 64bt without any problem at all. I didn't do anything special, just installed. I don't understand why other people had problems. "

me the trying to instal it or it will cause problems to other programs? I can't find anything as versatile as Microsoft Photo Suite Edition and would be very happy if it would work on windows 7.

Nope. Not bad at all. At most, it will not work or some features work exactly as they should. But, most of the people that I have seen and read about had no problems at all. You really don't lose anything else than it is time to give it a try. Chances are, though, that it will work without any problem.

  • The Witcher Enhanced is not compatible with Windows 7 OS

I saw on the page compatible Windows programs that The Witcher and The Witcher Enhanced IS compatible with Windows 7 BUT THIS IS WRONG!  When I install the game, & then try to run it... it freezes then returns to the Office & an error message appears saying "minimum requirements has not met" with the exception OF THE FACT THAT I HAVE MORE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS RUN UNLESS I have WINDOWS 7 and NOT XP.  then I try to run the 1.5 patch & it won't patch the game & always appears with errors that it cannot find the file!  so I think that Windows staff needs to do a thorough on all standard systems provided with Windows 7 OS compatibility test.  I have an Emachines laptop & only 2 of the 6 games XP that I will run on Windows 7, as I tried to solve the problem as well with the ways of mutual aid & with The Microsoft Tech Support & NOTHING RESOLVES THE PROBLEM!

  • I have a piece of test equipment that is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 - bit edition. Is it possible to go back to the 32-bit version without having to re - install?

The test equipment is a Site Master S820D used for the test of microwave signals.  It is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit, but is with Windows Vista 32 - bit.  Want to know if there is a way to get back to Windows Vista 32-bit, without having to buy a new operating system.  The program is called "Site Master Handheld Software Tools".

    Hello

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64 bit version of Windows Vista, or vice versa, you will need to back up your files, then select custom during installation of Windows Vista. Next, you need to restore your files and reinstall your programs

    Hello

always check the compatibility of vista programs on the link below

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/default.aspx

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT: the driver is installed for this device is not compatible with Windows 7 (from Vista 32-bit)

Hi all, I am interested in my Sony Vaio AR41L (under Vista 32 bit SP2) upgrade to Windows 7, but when I run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, it tells me that, for the graphics card, NVIDIA GeForce 8400 M GT, the driver "installed for this device is not compatible with Windows 7.

Apparently, NVIDIA is not a solution and sent people to Sony, and Sony say that they have not updated the drivers for Windows 7 and that we do not know when they expect to do...

All known and solved this problem?  Any suggestions would be very helpful!

    Thanks in advance.

  • I want to install the Commander of the force star wars on my new PC, but says it is not compatible with windows 64-bit. I try the windows XP mode and it tells me that I need to connect a hardware device 3D

I want to install the Commander of the force star wars on my new PC, but says it is not compatible with windows 64-bit. I have try on windows XP mode and it tells me that I need to connect a hardware 3D device. I really love the game and I want to use it again.

Any old copy of Windows XP that could be installed in the host system? If you do not, it should be available at a modest price of an online seller. Perhaps (I'm not too), even an old Windows 98 TO work. The game (using a 3D engine) will not work under pure DOS, so you need a Windows environment so that it can work. Just FYI: If you get this old classic to run, new issues may arise. Known are the "mss32.dll" runtime error (you may need to replace this file with the newer version of SW:KOTOR 1) and the issue of video cutscenes (the games uses an obsolete video codec, Smacker - either you find an old *.) DLLS for it or have you convert movies in a modern format).

In conclusion: get old games to run on software/hardware modern (it is not only a problem of BONE) is one of the most fascinating and rewarding challenges to a real fan. But do not expect it will not be easy "out of the box" (or simply insert a CD).

Adobe Acrobat is NOT COMPATIBLE with Windows Vista... it blocks any browser or operating system when I try to download or open any file PDF... y at - it a patch?

If I click on one of the 3 buttons listed above, the browser, it blocks or breaks down the entire operating system.

Does anyone know of a patch for this... Adobe, what I find, has updated for Acrobat Reader, but they don't say if this is a patch for this problem of Vista incompatibility.

I searched on the basis of knowledge of Microsoft and this forum and I can't find anything definitive on this question.

I can not even download a PDF file, and still less open and looking at its content.

  • LaserJet p2015 is not compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit

I just got a new computer with Windows Vista 64-bit operating system.  I tried to connect my HP Laserjet P2015 printer, but it was not recognized.  In addition, the computer does not recognize the CD supplied with the printer.  Download the necessary software on this site?  I can't seem to find it on mine, and I am a novice when it comes to computers.  Any help out there?  see you soon

Go to Support & drivers above.  Click on drivers.  Enter the model number of your printer.  A list of drivers should appear.  IF Windows Vista 64 bit is listed, click on that and you should be on your way.  BUT be aware that not all older printers are compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit.  I have a HP Scanjet 4470c which is not compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit on my new HP computer.  So I have a HP Scanner perfectly although I can't use and this Scanner is not that old.  Good luck!
