2. for the Volume icon.
(B) to activate the Volume - icon Enable_Volume.reg< click="" to="">
Then follow the instructions from #5 to #9.
Don't forget to restart the computer to perform the procedures.
Note: If someone you said to disable all Windows applications, using a method first, it's trash.

Try these steps and check if that helps:
** Turn it back on. Sometimes a reboot will solve this problem.* *.
1. close all programs and stop the laptop.
2. remove all power supplies (battery and power cord)
3. empty the remaining power by pressing the power on button for 30 seconds (even if you have no power).
4. put the battery back and start the computer
5. once fully loaded, right-click on the system tray and select Properties.
6. This will bring to the top of the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" dialog box. The "Notification area" tab.
7. at the bottom of the tab, is the area 'icons systems. " There is a checkbox for "Power". "check" the box and click on apply or OK.
Also update your graphics card drivers.
It works! Tanks a lot Johnny D.81!

Current Volume icons, network, disappear from the notification area.
I know that microsoft has heard this problem many times that I read many forums to ask this question.
I went to this link
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945011
and used the microsoft fix and it worked for a few weeks, but then the icons disappeared again.
I tried the Microsoft fix it once more and restarted my computer, but it did not work.
so I tried to fix it manually by removing the two registry subkeys, restart explorer.exe, and then I restarted my computer.
still no effect. I also understand that the icons disappear only on this computer user, the user can see the icons in the notification area.If this happens only to a single user...
You might want to try to create a new profile for this particular user. The profile may be damaged. You can take a look at this tutorial:

The icons in the notification area of the bar (on the side of the lower right of the desktop) tasks are not all there. The speaker/volume icon is over now and the arrow next to the notification (to show and hide icons) area has also disappeared. I have not changed anything on the computer. I tried to restart but it did not help. No idea why this would suddenly disappear and how to get it back?
Have you tried right clicking on an empty area of the taskbar, properties tab and taskbar by selecting it and then pressing the button customize section Notification area? I want that they come back then I right-click the notification area, went to properties and arrived at the tab Notification area. Forthose icons 3 checkboxes are grayed out and I can't select them. Its icon does not appear in the notification area - no audio device is installed
NO INSTALLED AUDIO DEVICE & NO SOUND, VIDEO & GAME CONTROLLER NOT TAB ON DEVICE MANAGER
I had some problems with the sound on my laptop... sometimes the volume icon will suddenly disappear from the notification area and I can not add it even because it is grayed off the coast, unless I restarted my laptop... and after an automatic Windows Update I suddenly got errors on my sound whenever I play a game and try to mute it. After that, the volume in the notification area icon got a red X and it had the "NO AUDIO DEVICE IS INSTALLED" message!
I tried everything I found on the net without success. I can't even enable or disable my audio driver because I have NOT any how 'audio, video controller & game' tab on my DEVICE MANAGER! I can't uninstall & re-install my drivers either because it would not uninstall first, even in safe mode. Reinstall the driver will give me an error message saying "No. MEDIA FOUND to this DEVICE DRIVER" !
I also tried to reformat my laptop and goes back to factory settings, restore my system to a point where I wasn't having problems still, it reboot several times, always check the Device Manager if somehow the tab for its controller will magically appear and try several times to reinstall my driver... This gave me No. SOLUTION !
I don't know what to do more and forums on other sites do no help either. I don't want to dirty my registry for fear of totally play my laptop.
HOW can I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM? I just got windows update and not only I have problems with the audio on my laptop but I can't play games on facebook either!
Hi Annetalla,
You can uninstall the current sound driver from Device Manager and restart the computer to load the generic driver and check if it makes a difference.
1. click on Start.
2. type devmgmt. msc in the search box start and press to enter.
3. right click on the speaker and select Uninstall.
4 restart the computer, and vista will load the generic drivers.
If an audio device on board, you will see the option in the BIOS. To do this, you need to read the manual that came with your computer or contact the manufacturer for this.

Vista will not display the network icon in the Notification area.
IM my notification area network icon disappeared, and when I go to the right click > properties > Notification area to try to solve this problem, the check box on the notification tab, because the network is grayed and I can't click on it. Vista has done this before with the icon of power, but it seemed to resolve itself. It has been a few days and a few reboots now, however, and the problem persists. I am running Windows 10 (x 64) (build 10586) on my laptop HP ENVY TS of m7 with HP Support Assistant 8.1.40.3. I'm used to seeing the blue Support Assistant of circular background of question mark icon located on the right side of my taskbar Windows in the notification area, just to the right of the up-carat for 'display the icons '.
However, about 2 days ago the Assistant to support automatically downloaded and installed the latest version of himself. The '? ' icon disappears from the notification area of the task bar and appeared to place on my desk. I clicked on the desktop, and then click icon on "PIN to Desktop". It pinned icon Assistant decision-making support on the left side of my taskbar with icons for Windows Store File Explorer and other icons open programs.
I tried just dragging the icon Wizard help to the right of the Notification area of the taskbar, but that cannot be done. Please give me detailed instructions on how to get back the icon wizard helps to where I'm used to seeing.
Thank you for your help.

Hello
Another option, you may need to check is the following.
Launch of HP Support Assistant.
Click the gable of parameters to the upper right.
In the following Panel, make sure the "show an icon in the taskbar" entry (see the option highlighted in the image below) is checked - if not, click in the box enter a tick, then click on the "Save" button.
