    Hello

    Try this:

Control Panel - device - sounds Manager - note manufacturer device name and info on the graduating model.
Double click and get the date and version of the driver (if 06 are dates, you use the default windows driver). Now
Click the DRIVER UPDATE (this can not find anything because MS is far behind the certification of drivers). Now LAW
CLICK above and UNINSTALL - REBOOT - it will refresh the driver stack.

Now, go to the manufacturer of the system and recover the last pilot audio/Hi-Fi as a fall.

Download it - SAVE - go to where you put it - RIGHT CLICK top - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT

Now do the same for the manufacturer of the device (the one that made the device - if you were using the default windows
you might need to look in the Device Manager - his new driver).

Often, you will need to run the sound card drivers several times to get the latest version installed and will appear in
Manager - Sound. This is because they make back the drivers one at a time and then finally install the
most recent. Look in the Device Manager to be sure that you have installed the version of the driver is the one showing, if not
run the driver again (reset each time) until the shows a correct.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

    for windows 8.1

    (1) open the control panel (right click on the windows icon [start] in the lower left corner of the screen and select "Control Panel" from the pop up menu)

    (2) type "notification" in the search box at the top right of the Control Panel window

  • shortcut on the desktop icons disappear in windows 7.

    Hello, good morning.

I'm back with yet another question.

I've recently converted to Windows 7 from XP Pro and have had problems. This last is rather strange. It seems only to happen Monday a.m.. The shortcut icons disappear from the desktop. Today - Monday - they have waited until between 10 and 11:00 go AWOL, but have been known to leave earlier.

I tried a few remedies offered online following (Yes, the 'Show icons' box is checked) and so far nothing seems to improve the situation.

I am currently using Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

I use the software on a Dell Optiplex 380 which has been upgraded to 2 GB of RAM - processor is an Intel Core 2 DUO 2.93 GHz - it is a 32-bit operating system.

I managed to find a number (KB 2670504) on the Microsoft Web site. This document or software fix or anything that was to offer a solution to the problem, but I wasn't able to find it on the Web site.

I can only say that I had no problems like this with the faithful XP software. It ran like a champ. But I guess time marches on.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

  • I can adjust is no longer control volume via the speaker icon in the notification bar.

I found issues of users on this forum where the "speaker" icon has disappeared.  My problem is slightly different.  The "speaker" icon is always visible, but when I click it, I no longer get the vertical bar that allows me to adjust the volume.  I have made no recent changes to my computer and does not understand why it happened all of a sudden.  I have spent at the taskbar properties and tried to turn the volume icon but this has not cured the problem.  Can anyone help?

It is not a 'solution' in its true meaning.

The corrupted account use more. You will need to remove it. BUT, before you do, and if you want to save what are in this account, you will need to use this tutorial:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-CA/Windows-Vista/fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

Note: after you create the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account you just created.

Of course, if there is nothing to save the corrupted account, then just delete.

If this account is an administrator account, make sure you first create a new admin account AND make sure that the new administration is working FIRST before deleting the old one. *******

PS It is not advisable to activate the guest account. Disable it.

Create a standard user account for all guests who may need to use your computer.

The region is called the taskbar.

    3 ways to recover...
(1.) the easy way, if you're lucky:
Right click on the task bar > click Properties > at the top, click on Notification area > can you put a check mark on the network? If so, you're done.

    If it is unclickable.
    2.) use this tutorial: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/106787-notification-area-system-icons.html
Note: Depending on the version of Vista you have, use the method two or three.
One when you're done, return to #1 above and click on the box.

3.) do a restore ysytem. Choose the date at which the icon was present under your restore point.

  • Start icon disappears from the taskbar. Command prompt concludes that he cannot fix corrupted files.

My power icon disappeared from my taskbar after a reboot. Following the advice of the Forum I turned on command prompt and asked the sfc/scannow.

After a long search, I received notification that there were a few corrupted files and not all could be fixed. This had occurred previously in 2012.

After a security alert, security, I downloaded the program named Emet. After reading more below in the Microsoft forum, I found the comments which Emet

may damage files. I decided to uninstall Emet. When I finished that I discovered that the Emet icon has disappeared from the taskbar along

with the battery icons and a few other icons. I took my Asus laptop at Best Buy and the tech there called a Microsoft service don't. and

has got instructions to restore the missing icons using the appropriate record. It was in summer 2012. When I stopped my laptop Sunday, December 21, 13

and then reopened Tuesday, December 23, 13 I found that, once more, my power icon had disappeared from the notification area. The correspondent

subprogrammes in the control panel for the management of the icons in the notification area were inoperative for the icon of power and a few others. This

was the exact situation I had in 2012, about 16 months ago.

After failing to solve the problem with the command prompt, I thought I would ask for help. For the moment, I managed without going through the power icon

presented at the center of mobility in the office and after having pinned the control panel to the taskbar on the right.

    Hi Ronald,.

When you first start a new computer, the operating system typically runs Startup service initializations that can take anywhere from one to six hours to finish, depending on which applications are preloaded on the computer. Make sure that you give the operating system sufficient time to finish these Startup service initializations until you stop or restart the computer. This problem generally not happen once the operating system has completed initialization of all before background services is restarted.

I suggest you refer to the following article which has a few registry tweaks to solve the problem. Please follow the steps and check out them.

System icons do not appear in the notification area in Windows Vista or Windows 7, you must restart the computer

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/945011/en-us

Note: this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.
