The Studio XPS 435MT graphics card upgrade

Hi all

I have a Dell Studio XPS 435mt with these specs:

Intel Core I7 2.67 ghz

6 GB of RAM

ATI Radeon HD 4570 512 MB graphics card (it's the original one)

I got nothing so far, but now I want to change the graphics card because I want to play games that require higher performance, I play with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080 p).

So what do you suggest me? What is the best graphics card can I take, compatible with the studio 435mt?

I don't want to change the other components (and I mean the PSU in particular) I don't want to change the graphics card.

So what is the graphics card that pushes the limit of this computer?

I have another question.

I bought this computer in Italy and it's because I'm Italian xD.

Now I'm in Boston for the summer holidays and I would buy the card here. There is a compatibility problem between Italian and American computers?

I mean the GPU are all the same despite the country or there are a few differences to take into account?

I'm sorry if I am repetitive, but I don't know if my questions are clear and understandable.

Thanks for your help!

I have no budget.

True, but even once, why would you spend $129 when the same one that costs only $89 HERE at Newegg.  Personally, I wouldn't put a high end as the HD 6970 card in your system, but it is up to you.  For me, just is not there, but I know that others have fact.   Cards more recent performance today they run cooler and are smaller than the last generation.  I know there are people who have put in the hot and power hungry GTX 295 in this system.  If you want a high end card without going overboard, take a look at the HD 6850 and HD 6870.  However, if you have money, you can do whatever you want if you use an i7 processor to go with it.  I'm just a little at low cost.

  • The Dell Dimension 9200 graphics card upgrade

I am looking to update my graphics card on a Dell Dimension 9200 and I was wondering if the Nvidia GeForce GT 430 would work with the pc, I have a Nvidia 7900 gt. I am open to both recommendations.

My current pc features, Windows 8 version Preview (upgrade to windows 8 Pro in a few days), 4 GB of ram, intel dual core 2.13 ghz.

    Hi gaz492,

The graphics card you have mentioned should work on the Dimension 9200.

Food that has been delivered with the computer is 375W which is more than the bloc power to the graphics card. Details of the graphics card: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-430/specifications

In addition, providing the link for the specifications of the computer:

NOTE from the ADMIN: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell >

Add the link to the manual for Dimension 9200, which is also known as the XPS 410:

There are a lot of compatible adapters to the computer: here is a list of the latest graphics cards that run on the desktop computer:

    1. nVidia GeForce GT 440.
    2. ATI Radeon HD 6570.
    3. ATI Radeon HD 6670 (requires minimum 400W).
    4. ATI Radeon HD 7750 (requires minimum 400W).

Usually if the video card is updated on the computer, you must upgrade the power too as the power supply on this computer is 375W.

  • the Compaq Presario CQ3074L graphics card upgrade

    Hello

I was planning on upgrading my graphics card is ATI Radeon HD 4350 for purposes of games.

the problem is that I don't know what superior graphics card should I buy that will be compatible with the motherboard, processor and memory Compaq Presario CQ3074L screening.

I was hoping that if anyone could advice me chart compatible cards.

    Thank you.

    \(^.^)/

You can go for a VGA card exceeding not power consumption 75 w which is the limitation of PCIe slot. I also recommend the upgrade of power. If the VGA up to 75w (like nVidia GF530 or 540) I would like to go at least 300W PSU and more than 400W or more would be appropriate. Maps on 75W have connector 6 extra pins to provide a separate power to the VGA card.

  • Graphics upgrade Dell Studio XPS 435MT

    Model: Studio XPS 435MT
    Processor: Intel Core i7
    Memory: 8 GB
    OS: Windows 64-bit
Case: In Stock (never did a switch box but would be ready)

Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4350 512 MB 2
Power: 550w (honestly the first upgrade I did)

I pulled a lot of games for this thing, and it has served me very well. I am looking to do an update of basic graphics card but want to stay under $ 300.00, I don't want to go too big or too hot for the system (or unnecessarily powerful but I'm okay with that, like if this happens).

I am also ready to increase the ram, but once again to 8 GB I don't know if I'd get a vein off going up to 16 GB, but at the end of the day it's a learning experience and the installation is always fun.

Also, I'm ready to tell is don't bother, if it would be better to buy a new system, so I can actually consider doing that but shaped why can't not ask like you people seem quite knowledgeable GD.

EPS 12V 2.91 compliance means you should be able to use most of the maps, if the power supply is really high spec.

  • Upgrade GPU for Studio XPS 435MT and indine power load max

Hi, I have a Studio XPS 435MT with a 360W power supply and an ati radeon HD4800 series GPUs (likely a 4850). I want to improve the gpu with a gpu from Gainward GeForce GTX 750 2 GB (one slot), GDDR5. It uses just 55W and there is no external power supply plug, the HD4800, but in the GTX card appears: minimum 300W or more system power supply (with a minimum of 12V current rating of 20A). And I do not know if this 20 a could be a problem, because my Delta DPS-360FB-1 diet doesn't seem to reach the rated current.

    What do you suggest me?

    Thank you

combined maximum 12V 12VA and 12VB output for this unit is 300W which is 25, but you can't have your cake and eat it too.

If you draw 20 amps on the 12v rail you used 240W leaving 60W for everything else that needs 12V.

And if you use 300W on the 12v rail that leaves 60W max for the 5v / 3.3V through less 10W to + 5VSB.

GTX 750 will be in this case either well, or it does not at all due to the lack of power on one or more tracks.

HD4850 certainly consumes MORE energy than a GTX750 so that only one point of view, it should be good.

  • Dell Studio XPS 435mt does not - light light orange card mother

I had my Studio XPS 435mt for recent years and love it! Normally I leave my machine on almost every day all day so I can access it remotely. Well, today my power went out (the product is connected to a good surge protector) and now it won't turn back on.

When I plug it in there is a green light to the rear of the machine and internally, there is a orange light, which lights up. When I press the power button nothing happens, not even try to power on. I read a few forums that suggest all of a new power supply, a new motherboard and even a job to 'put your motherboard in the oven' random.

So my question is can I do anything to check what the problem is? Also, if it of a motherboard problem and needs to be replaced, where is the best place to get a motherboard? Reference Dell sells to them directly or I have to go to a 3rd party to track down?

Thank you in advance for your help!

A type of power surge Strip does nothing to protect the PC during a power failure.  You need a 'UPS' unit to protect the PC during short power outages (most).

As he ran, anything could have happened to the power supply to the motherboard to a component on the motherboard.

As you have the power to 'keep' alive on the card mother, indicated by orange LED, power supply works somewhat.  Unplug the power connector 24 pins on the motherboard.  Then the rider GREEN wire to a BLACK wire and see if the power turns on (fan running).  If it does, it does not say the PSU is good (only replace it with a known good power is the only true test for a power supply), but it does not say the rotation of the problem is not in the power.  If it does not start, food is the likely problem.

If the power supply lights the other most likely problem is the motherboard.  Reinstall (unplug and plug back in) the prior panel connector on the motherboard and then give it a try. If it still does not respond, the motherboard is suspect.  The power switch, itself, would be a very remote problem.

Dell is a source for a replacement motherboard.  There are sites that sell Dell used/given to nine motherboards and ends up with a google search.  Only another mother of exact replacement fit and work.

Finally, regardless of the tests do or anything that seems as it isolates a certain part, unfortunately only to replace the part really tell you if it's bad.  To avoid buying something you don't need you can make to a PC repair center renamed to what is really wrong.

  • The graphics card upgrade issues...

I recently bought this graphics card: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=5660536&sku=A271-5774

Also, I advanced and bought this power supply: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276573

I own a HP Pavilion a6414 and this is my first video/graphics card upgrade.  I did a good bit of research and I know that I have the PCI E x 16 appropriate for the card slot and the power SUPPLY 650 Watt PSU to insert in the ATX case. I measure the UAP present btw.  I'm a little worried about the upgrade of the power supply, because I read somewhere (I think it's here on this forum) that some HP tech rep said a person who upgrade the power supply could not be performed on the a6414, but I don't see why not.

My other concern is about the speed of the processor to the graphics card and possibly voltage problems, but I think the power SUPPLY Ultra PSU will be fine.  Either that it is my first time to play with the graphics card and PSU, I'm looking for advice on the compatibility between these three components, i.e. the model, the card and the power supply.  Any input will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance...

I installed everything today and it works like a charm.  I had read so much about the HD 5770 not recognized by HPs and the test of the power supply, but everything worked so far.  I bought a LG LED 20 "monitor today as well, and everything looks great.  Thanks for all the advice guys...  The links you provided helped with Dave BIOS, thanks.

I really like this AE & body use all threads, made in the background (which results in NO crashes (so far)) because my old 120 GT video card apparently is more stifling that it worked in FX in FCP 7 & 4 Motion.

    1. Q - can someone point me in the direction of how Adobe got the device to use all the cores and threads and run it in 64-bit, but starts in 32 bit?

In terms of performance, (rendered in particular) I know I should go to the Apple/ATI 5870 graphics card, but as a veterinarian of fixed-income securities disabled, $450 is hard to find. I evaluated cards flashes, including those of macvidcards on ebay, but for used cards which are flashed, it gives me pause, especially when they are about the same price as the new price of 5870.

For After Effects, more RAM is better. For Premiere Pro, an improved GPU is more important. In addition, you might consider spending money even on an SSD, which is beneficial for both (for caches).

  • Studio XPS 435MT used to power on

My 2 year old Dell Studio XPS 435MT does not illuminate.  This happened after a short break.  The PC is connected to a surge protector at the time of the failure.  When I try it on, the power button blinks orange and fans to contract.  The fans tremble twice when the power button is pressed - as it tries to start - but he'll nothinhg beyond that.  I have a green light solid on food and a solid amber light on the motherboard.  There is no change of material to this PC.

Further investigation revealed that the food was good.  I have re-installed THE connections/cards and tried to turn on the unit by disconnecting the components (fans, disks, vid card, etc) one at a time to try to isolate the problem.  I also tried a known working video card.  No matter what I did, it will not turn on.  Same fan tics.  I bought a new computer, removed the hard drive and successfully files retrieved from it using a docking station.  I didn't belive the hard drive was the culprit here.  All the indications stated on the motherboard, so I bought a new (exact same manufacturer / plug).

The new motherboard was going in and connections were verified tripple.  The PC then propelled straight up.  The computer normally acted through a series of restarts.  I thought that I had this figured out and I was very happy because I liked this computer - but not so fast!  When I stop the PC completely and tried to power on, I got exactly the same problem.  And exactly the same problem no matter what outlet, I used.

Well, I thought that the food was maybe defective and I tried a new.  Nope - still no luck with that.  I heard that remove and then reinstall the CMOS/BIOS battery has worked for others, so I tried.  Of course - it worked.  The PC starts, but I have to restore the default BIOS settings.  After shutting down, it will still not be able to save, however, without resetting the battery.  As a last effort, I replaced the battery and, of course, who did nothing.

Please help me because I really don't want to play with that battery every time there is a power failure or stop and I need to get the new card mother $150.00 returned as soon as POSSIBLE if the computer is off help.  Thank you!!!

Thanks for the suggestion - just replaced the power supply with a 600W Corsair after that first try everything and now the system works very well once more.

Before replacing, I tested the original power supply and found to work (short circuit green wire with the black) and also tried to isolate the component problem outside the MoBo, but couldn't find any cause.

I have however noticed that power (at the back of the old PSU) light flickered weakly even if system was off - on the test PSU power LED blinking not.

The GPU is mostly welded and mounted on the motherboard and it of impossible to remove it!
