The touchpad scroll not working no-Windows 8 updated

HP Pavilion dv7 laptop computer that came with Windows 7, I've upgraded to Windows 8, but now the touchpad scrolling is not working.

I tried;

  • update the driver
  • reinstalled the original driver
  • troubleshoot compatibility on the original
  • tried a battery remove / hold power button option

They have not fixed my roll at all. No other actions are no longer works... The Synaptics driver devide score is installed right now.

The only thing I can DO point-and - click on by touchpad.

Appreciate the help.

Hello

It is possible that the setting you need have not enabled by default, so you better check the following.

Open windows control panel, open the mouse, select the tab "Setting ClickPad", and then click the setting button ClickPad.  In the next window, enter a check mark in the "Scroll" checkbox, then click on the word 'Scrolling' and you will see a cog on the right.  Click the sprocket to open another page of settings and enter a check mark in the box against "Vertical scroll".  Click on the close button and then click on apply and Ok in the previous window.

You may well find other 'gesture options' can also be activated in the same way.

Kind regards

  • Pavilion G6 2338sl: hardware button to turn off the touchpad does not work on Windows 10

    Hello

I have a Pavilion G6 mobile 2338sl. When I was on Windows 8.1 the touchpad worked a lot, so I've updated for Windows 10. Windows updated my drivrs to last, provided also by Synaptics (19.0.19.1). HP says the moment is upgrade from Windows to provide the driver for this laptop, as you can see on the driver support page. The touchpad works, the parameters can be set (gestures etc.), the touchpad turns off when another mouse is connected (it's ok).

The problem is that if I use the touchpad and I want to turn off the button, it does not work and the computer reacts like a click. So I returned to the old driver and button works. But Windows Update continusly updated the driver (I disabled the option in the advanced settings, but it still update) and I come to every time.

So I tried to reinstall Wndows freshly (not update Windows 8.1) and with the old driver works, but when she updates to 19.0.19.1, the button to turn off the work stoppage.

I looked on the interent and someone tips to set minimum detection of palm. I tried but it still not working.

I hope someone can help me

  • The bar touchpad scroll not working not not on my windows 7

    Hello

So I have a laptop windows 7. Yesterday, I did a clean boot to try to get a program to run. I put everything as he was back, and now the scroll bar on the touchpad does not work. How can I fix the problem?

    Hello

Control Panel - mouse - look for the TouchPad settings - mine is on the settings of the device and your own tab
may be different (it is NOT the Scrollings tab which is for the mouse). On some, you can activate
and disable scrolling and/or define the size of the area and the sensitivity of the touchpad.

Device - mouse and pointing devices configuration-manager Panel

Right click on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL it (do not check the box of pilots to remove), and then
Reset - the touchpad drivers will be refreshed when Windows returns to the top. If there is no
help to check the settings in the controls and also to update or reinstall the drivers of HP.

Some will have a TouchPad progam/control icon in the Notification area near the clock - low
    right.

Check with the manufacturer of System Support, online documentation and forums (if any).

  • Tecra M3 - touchpad does not work with Windows 7

I have a Tecra M3 I've updgraded to Windows 7. The touchpad does not work.
The Web of Toshiba site has a Windows 7 drivers for this model. I tried install the driver of the touchpad and PVAT from the A11 model but still cannot make it work.

Can anyone help? The audio is not working either.

This old Tecra is not supported for Vista, so it can be difficult to find the correct drivers.
I can see Tecra M4 is supported for 32-bit Vista, so use this with Win7 32-bit Vista driver in the hope that this will work.

Audio driver? Let Win7 look good pilot. By the way: your Tecra has AnalogDevices AD1981B audio chip inside. Try to find the right driver Googling autour.

I have laptop (hp probook 4520 s), the touchpad does not work. How can I turn it back on it?

This is a question which would probably respond by HP support, because it isn't really a Windows problem.

Are you sure that the touchpad is not just turned off? Many laptops have switches, power switch, so you can rest your palm while typing one is not worry by pressing the key.

Sometimes, there is a button above the key, a key on the Ko, or some have a stain on the pavement you waiting/tap/double tap/etc. to toggle the pad.

If not, you could try to go on the site of HP and DOWNLOAD/reinstall assistance the SW for the touch pad.

  • FN + F3 disable the Touchpad does not work. Dell XPS L702X

Hello, I am new to this forum.

The function FN + F3 that disable the Touchpad does not work, my laptop Dell XPS 17 (L702X)

I googled my problem and the only thing I found was this: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19454265.aspx

I think that my problems with the touchpad started when I plugged a mouse into the USB port. It didn't work (it worked well before), and in material-sound-mouse control panel, the system asked me to uninstall a driver or other. I do not remember, but later the mouse worked.

After this weird thing with the mouse, I noticed that the touchpad was malfunctioning. While I write, the cursor moves without touching the touchpad, it is annoying because it makes me write bad because he is moving in the middle of writing, as I write so it's a mess.

The second oddity, the Fn + F3 does not disable the touchpad, the orange light come on (the led on the top of the touchpad), but the cursor can be moved in any case, with or without a connected mouse.

I checked for driver updates, perform an audit of the system, checked for viruses, spywares and I don't know what I could do. I don't know if the problem with the mouse had nothing to do with the function Fn + F3 problem.

I have not formatted or re installed windows 7, never.

In Device Manager I have this:

-mouse and other pointing devices:-Compatible PS/2 mouse

    Help, please. Thank you.

DOH! Problem between Chair and keyboard...

    C:\dell\drivers\R289237

Run the executable file of Synaptics.

Download of extracts only the program on your disk. You must manually install the driver for the Synaptics touchpad with its own executable.

    FN + F3 now disables =)

  • Satellite X 200-219 - the touchpad does not work as it should

    Hi all

I recently bought a 2nd hand Toshiba Satellite x 200-219. Had some problems with it that I have overcome now, except one... The touchpad does not work as it should. I think that the cable has been damaged at some point.

So I'm wondering if I should use the same ribbon cable to connect the keyboard to the motherboard or can I get one of a different model of PC Toshiba laptop?

I tried searching on the net for advice but have resulted in nothing so thought I would try the forums.

Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

I think you can use the items to the satellite X 205 series since this seems to be the same series as X 200:
Found some related parts the touchpad:

    Satellite part number for the TOUCH PAD FFC X 205 / X 200: K000047980

But why you n t come into contact with a Toshiba authorized service provider in your country and order the part necessary and compatible?
