  • Earlier today, I did the updates of windows. I rebooted and my computer kept restarting by itself before the logon screen. I was able to identify the error C00021A Windows Logon process.

After trying to run chkdsk /f and still having no luck, I went and did a repair on Windows XP. It worked finally. Then, I went and did the 52 windows updates and then it happened to me again. I am now afraid to do updates on this computer window as I can't afford to have the same problem and spending 30 minutes to 60 minutes trying to fix it.

Also to add, I tried safe mode and that has not worked. It did samething (restart the computer). Last configruration well known have had a result even it did not help.

    Help.

  • I deleted "Microsoft Download Manager" can I get it back? I have advanced system care and you can see everything that has been deleted (a lot), he's all in compuer talk... Any ideas?

I deleted "Microsoft Download Manager" thought it was a temp program (not paying attention!)  Now I programs looking for paths!  The figure that it took a lot of information with it.

I have advanced system care and can see all the things that I deleted in the last two days (and that's a lot) it's in the jargon...  Windows XP SP3 32-bit
I know it's a long shot, but can someone help?

Yes, at the time of the download, not sure that I need, but now I do what I have programs that can not open or cannot perform when they do.

So, to retrieve the 'ways' of things...

Can you give an exact message of one or two of them?

PATH NOT FOUND covers a lot of ground - but it would be good if there is more to it and a program of a name or two that gives you this question.  (So we know if it is only third stuf or Microsoft and other third-party things.)

Have you tried to reinstall the stuff that gives you errors?

    Hello

Welcome to the community of Windows Vista answers.

First of all, we will try if we can start in safe mode.

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Steps to start your computer in safe mode with networking
    1. to start mode safe mode with networking, restart the computer and press the F8 key for about four to five times. You will see "Safe Mode with network" listed in the advanced options of Windows.

    2. Select "Safe Mode with network" and then press ENTER.

Access the link below for more information on how to start in "Safe Mode with Networking":

  • A system totally crashed after downloading the update of windows 7 (from VHP) reloaded vista starting the Dell restore partition and reattach the requirements. Now, how can I restart upgrade

OK, here's the deal... the Dell laptop had a recurring software validation fixed an error that I couldn't keep. I would fix it, Vista should go out and update itself and then I would reboot and bang, back right to the error again, I decided to scrap Vista and install W7. I corrected the error again once restarted in a stable Outlook, downloaded files of Windows 7 upgrade and then discovered that the netframework wasn't right, so I downloaded this solution, am to halfway through it and got a system error. HA! I'll just copy this download upgrade of the window on a USB key, hover over all my personal files on the usb drive, and reinstall Vista from the Dell partition, which I did. Then, I updated all the stuff with the Advisor to upgrade of windows, is gone in Windows 7 upgrade file I moved it to the USB and realized that this point in time, I was an asshole. What a breakthrough!  OK, now how to restart the upgrade process. I paid the money, done the downloads, message, so my hands, discussed and done all the other stuff I've done since the upgrade of Windows 3.1 (each time). Now what...

First I would contact the people who sold you download and see if they will send again free of charge - explain the problem.  I guess you still have the product key, they have sent you that shouldn't be a problem (it will work with any download the same version of Windows7).

Then run Windows7 Upgrade Advisor to see if your system can handle Windows7 or if she need for software or material removed or updgraded: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/upgrade-advisor.aspx.  Follow the instructions he gives as a result of the program (in fact, you should do this first - then you can deal with the download).

After that, you need to further questions in the Windows7 Forums: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads where people who specialize in the installation and upgrade to Windows7 will be more than happy to help you in the process.  This is a forum for Vista, and you need to talk to experts in Windows7.

    I hope this helps.
