The upgrade of my discreet video card

Hello, I have a problem with upgrading a video card for the HP Pavilion p6-2022uk, I have another card in the HP a GT 430 installed but wanted to move to the new ti GTX 750 for more performance checking the specification of a new card with a minimum of 300w and seeing that it doesn't require any external power supply I thought that this map was compatible. So, I removed the old drivers of the 430 GT and exchanged cards when I lit the screen on the computer and the graphics card seemed to work with the rotation of the fan, but it did not allow for me to go beyond the the bios screen and seemed to refuse the card. So after trying to talk to EVGA a solution with limited success, I was recommended to ask assistance from HP I returned the card, but if there is a solution, you can provide that would be more helpful so that I can rearrange the graphics card. The only one I have not tested is an update of the BIOS found on your site, but was the only improvements specified with the update.

  • Solves the problem of blocking the system during POST when a touch screen monitor is connected
  • Answer to the question with dysfunction F12 hotkey after loading the BIOS default through any method

These two fixes, modified by the update do not seem to be relevant to my question that any advice would be greatly appreciated. If the BIOS is now updated to FRIEND 7.16 23/03/2012

The full specifications of the 750 GTX graphic card it can be found here http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications

Hello

RMA the card for a refund.  Graphics EVGA GTX s 750 cards will not work in your PC.  Try one of the graphics below.

Press the Windows key, type in "Device Manager" without the quotes and the Device Manager select from the list that appears, or press ENTER.

In the window that appears, find graphics card and press the sign more or arrow to the left of it. It should fall down the name of the video card you have.

  • Problem upgrading the h8-1409 HP Envy video card problem

    Hello.

I just bought this machine and it has a good processor and ram good, but it comes with a card missing video (HD7570).  I want to upgrade the video card at one of the best maps I have of my old machines (Gigabyte GTX 660 ti and an Evga GTS 250).  When I install one of these cards but, I get no video output.  I can hear the initialization of the system and the hard drive works, so everything seems fine here.

This machine comes with a 460W power supply, which should be enough to run one of these cards, but no go.  In order to exclude food, I tried on a secondary market, OCZ 600W PSU, but got the same result.  Two cards work in my old machine, so I know that the cards are good.

The specifications of the main Board are here:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?objectID=c03132942

As far as I know, it should work.  Is there something I'm missing?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Only use one video card in your PC and make sure that it is installed in the PCI-E x 16 slot.

Boot in the bios (ESC and F10) and go to security topics. Try each of the topics and search a secure Boot Configuration.  If it exists, then see if Secure Boot is disabled.  A poster said that secure boot disabling enabled the installed video card. I have not tried this on a HP active UEFI motherboard but I know that it isn't a problem with another mother UEFI card that I use.  Your mileage may vary.

    Hello

I totally agree with the Akuma.
Upgrading the graphics card is not possible on laptops.
As mentioned, the motherboards of notebook does not support a standard graphic slot.

Of course, nVidia is developing a new standard called MXM but as far as I know it s not available on your Sam 1900.

  • Qosmio G30-141: Question on the use of an external video card

    Hello world!

Is - anyone know something about external video for toshiba card notes? Like Asus XG Station, Village Tronic ViDock Gfx Pro or AMILO GraphicBooster.

Will be toshiba develop & manufacture a similar device like them? My rating is Qosmio F30-141 & I want to play the GRID, GTA IV, NFS Shift in high resolution with all the spec.effects.

Now I play GRID on the resolution 640 x 480 & medium quality). Nice game IMHO.

PS PS3 & XBOX360? No reason to buy them for my 2-3 cheaper than the console games.

    Hello

I doubt that the external video card could provide enough power to play these games
You can connect these via the USB port video cards and I think that the USB port cannot transfer this huge amount of data that would be needed to play games with all the details
In addition, the graphics card upgrade is not possible on laptops

I have a desktop PC and laptop. I always use the desktop PC for games.
The components are easy to update and I can build a game machine clean with the best GPU, motherboard, and processor.

  • Upgrade to a new video card

I have a Firebird 802, model GM339AA - ABA with a video card which is a Nvidia nForce 760i SLI.

I find the video card does not have the minimum requirements for a next game, Guild Wars 2, and although it works well for other games I I don't want to try and replace it with a better video card.

When I opened the machine, I can't say (it's my first HP) if the current map is something I can replace myself or replaced with a better video card.  My computer model allows components like the video card to be replaced without having to send it back to HP (it is more under warranty)?

Your stock Firebird 802 easily surpasses the minimum specifications of GPU for Guild Wars 2:

NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI X 1800, Intel HD 3000 or better (256 MB of video RAM and shader 3.0 model or better)

The fire bird has done three GPU. The nForce 760i SLI GPU THAT is integrated with the motherboard chipset and it is very low for most of the games. There are also some style portable two GeForce 9800 S GPU that normally run in 2 - way SLI and are much stronger. If you see only the nForce 760i SLI on your computer try to install the drivers in my signature. They are the latest Nvidia drivers that support the bird of fire s GPU 2 - way SLI mode, out.

Guild Wars 2 must now run in simple mode of GPU on one of the two 9800 S GPU which should be much faster than the 760i SLI GPU. You can open the Nvidia Control Panel and go to the page manage 3D settings to create a Guild Wars 2 game profile and select one to use SLI mode. SLI mode afr2 seems to work for the games better, I tried.

If you see this post I would like to know how it goes. I wrote a long message on the upgrade of the Firebird GPU but the forum has eaten so I'll keep this one short.

  • Upgrade space H9-1187 video card on motherboard

I have a HP Pavilion h9-1187 windows 64 - bit pc with nvidia GeForce GT 530 by default.  I need to upgrade the video card, but this motherboard has only one of pci express 16 3.0 slot.  Almost all decent video cards require two slots.  I guess that most cards except those in the crossfire, two cards together configuration, must the two slots.  Most of the time, I guess the seller asking two slots due to the space.  Remove the CAP from my pc and possibly void the warranty, can someone tell me what video card width this pc may take.   I have the motherboard COMPANY PEGATRON, the default value.  If you care to recommend a video card decent all 250-300us about feel free.  Thank you

    Hello

Consult this publication document for more information.

Check the back of your PC where the existing video card is installed.  The lower red arrow is where the existing video card is installed.  The red arrow at the top indicates coverage of PCI slot for expansion card if installed. If it is empty then you probably have room for a double wide video card.

    .

The specifications for your PC indicate a 600 Watt power supply which is a great size for a very good video card.

This Sapphire 7850 2 GB is a PCI-E card version 3.  It's a great performer for the money.

    ' HP ' how-to ' articles should be useful.

  • Possible failure on the Satellite M105-S3041 of video card

I think that my video card can be past on my M Toshiba Satellite M105-S3041 series.
I had a green line down on the side of my screen on the width of a pixel for about a year.
There are also a few colored lines on the right side of the screen about 3 pixels long.

    Looks like blue-red-yellow lines.
Recently, I'll be on the computer and the icons and the taskbar will be blur and have a look blurry color similar to what you would see on a TV with no reception.

Error messages will be displayed on the computer and whenever I'm on a Web site with the blurry icons, it will close the site and then finally I'll take the blue screen of death and the computer will restart.

I also noticed that the computer is running a little more slowly than before.

    Any idea?

Hmm, unfortunately, but I think you might be right
The problem could be really related to the defective graphics chip

But if you want you can connect the laptop on the external monitor to check if it of really issue a GPU.
If the same lines would appear on the external monitor, then the graphics card is defective!

It would be the worst case, because the whole motherboard must be replaced :(

  • Satellite L100 - 121 PSLA0: can I change the motherboard with a better video card?

Is it possible to change the motherboard for a Toshiba Satellite L100-121 PSLA0, which is a 945GMA of Intel graphics card, with a motherboard with the best video card, or just the video card?

I want a better video card on my laptop, so I can change it?

    Hello

You cannot move the graphics card because it s mounted on the motherboard.
He welded s and cannot be deleted

But I wonder why you want to replace the mobo together to get the best graphics card. Is that a card mother books is one of the expensive laptop parts.
The replacement would cost about 300-400 euros.

I think a desktop PC with a new graphics card would be much cheaper ;)

  • Upgrade to an integrated video card

I have a desktop HP Pavilion Slimline s5212y.  I wish I could run Supreme order Forged Alliance in this respect.  It seems to need a better video card.  I have Windows 7 64-bit operating system.  SupCom runs on Directx9.

Suggestions that can be inserted in the slimline case?  I watch the series GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 or 3000.  I have no idea what should be or if another video card will work with this computer.

    Hello:

The biggest problem is the 220 W P/S in your PC.

Which puts a limit on what you can install.

I could go with this one. I see only one installed this in a tower case and it comes with low profile brackets that you need.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814125428

The specifications for the GPU indicate a maximum only 29W power draw, so you should be OK.

  • his order after you have installed the hp dc7900 low profile video card

I installed a hpcompaq dc7100 low-profile video card. Since then the sound has stopped working. anyway to uninstall the audio portion of the video card and use the original computer sound card? or any other suggestions to have the computer see the new sound portion of the new video card? What can I do to make the sound come back lol

    Thank you

    Hello:

You go into the BIOS, select the Advanced Options menu.

Go to device configuration menu and there will be an embedded audio setting.

It will be set to Disabled.  Change the setting to "Enabled".  Save the setting by pressing the F10 key, then again when you exit the BIOS here.

After you restart, you will have the on-board audio back.

  • How to upgrade drivers for a video card for windows xp?

When I tried to play a DVD, I got the msg in a pop up window: Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with the digital copy between your DVD drive decoder and video card protection. Try to install a driver available for your video card.

An update of the video card is not the solution, read DVDs require return DVD encoder

software that has digital rights to play a dvd. There is a lot of BS, the software can be had

However, ATI offers a free DVD decoder, while nvidia has one but requires a fee.

  • Upgrading HP p6633w (PSU + Video Card)

    I'm looking to upgrade the PSU in my p6633w ( http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c02481325&prodSeriesId=426997... )

I'm looking for the first upgrade of the a 250W to a 500W PSU +, I know little about the upgrade of computers and am not sure if HP has a propriatry power supplys installed in this model. My question is whether the power SUPPLY Corsair cx500 block will enter in my computer. Also it would be better to buy a modular power supply against a normal.

Once I improved my diet, I pass GFX integrated into a real map. I currently have a XFX Radeon 5850 card available. I read that this card is 9.5 "long. I read some other posts that State with this PC people are trying to get maps of 9 "or less. I measured inside the case and it seems to be available around the PPI of 10-11 "express slot.

    TL; DR
The cx500 Corsair and the XFX Radeon 5850 will be compatible to put in my HP p6633w?

Both will be inserted in your system. The PSU is 5.9 "(W) x 3.4" (H) x 5.5 "(L), where L is actually 'depth' on this matter. What I'd rather is why upgrade? Without a defined purpose, your loss $$$.

What is the speed of your CPU?  I noticed the "AMD Athlon X 2 2xx/2xxe (Regor)" at the bottom of the card. "

Example: If you want to play a game in particular, I would say a minimum GPU and PSU that exceed the requirements in the future. See this table. (Do a 'find on this page' for 5850).

Yes the supported list is just what Adobe has tested at home. There is no restriction of performance based on the supported list.
