The upgrade of the motherboard on DV6000

I have a DV6000 with an Intel processor. I want to spend the motherboard, so I can install both a faster processor and a better graphics card. My question is... What is the best motherboard that I can install on this case? I don't mind to do a small modification to the case if one plank DV6500 series and above will fit, I would that the HDMI output. So overall, I need to know: the best advice for a DV6000, what change in case do I need to do, and what additional parts will I need for the new motherboard. I know I have to upgrade my fan and the heat sink.

Thank you

Now I got it. The card mother G72M is for an Intel processor with the dv6000 series nVidia graphics. The other 2, I think, use the integrated graphics card Intel. The G72M will perform better, but you risk running into default from nVidia that swept dv6000s and prompted a recall. If you can live with graphics performance Ho-hum I would receive the mother board 945 chipset, because as far as I know that those who have not caused any problems. Here is the motherboards used replacement HP for your model series. They represent the water drop in replacements except it may require some work miners dremel to breach to tell a firewire port which would not have been on your machine to the origin but which is on the replacement motherboard.

Sorry, but I do not have this information.

The technical document you indicates the 'bus' graphic information (e.g., PCI - e v2.1) and you can use this information to search for compatible maps.

    Good luck

  • Qosmio F10: RAM upgrade issue after replacing the motherboard

In 2006, when my F10 - 128 fell down as a fault of the video card, Toshiba has replaced the motherboard (865 PM) of my F10 by a new one with the video card installed in Go 6600.
When I came back, I noticed that the same RAM modules have been installed (2 x 512 MB DDR 333 Mhz) as I previous had on the old motherboard.

Then, I assumed that I could easily upgrade to DDR2 RAM, I realized that this type of RAM supported by the new motherboard installed (915 PM?). But the modules DDR2 Ram (Kingston 1 GB SODIMM (KVR533D2S4 - 1 G) 533 MHz) that I ordered is simply not in the storage media... The notch in the module is placed differently that the modules of RAM DDR.

If the jury has been replaced by a newer version, with the video card Go 6600 (PCIexpress), how is, I have a Council that can not support DDR2?

Here, I am really confused. Someone at - it advice please?

    > If the jury has been replaced by a newer version, with the video card Go 6600 (PCIexpress), how is, I have a Council that can not support DDR2?
I think the jury is still supported DDR2 memory modules, but the allocation of the memory pins could be different.

You should contact the ASP in your country and ask for the compatible modules.

My desktop HPE H8 computer - 1280t lost Internet using USB3 and vice versa.  If I disconnect the external drives connected to the USB3 ports then I have Internet back.  If I connect external drives to USB3 ports, then I won't have Internet.

What is the latest version of the upgrade of the software of the motherboard of desktop HPE H8 - 1280t and how I get it.

The computer in question is running on Windows OS 8.1 for several months and no other software added recently.

Problem has been resolved.  Because of several power is needed for 3.0 external drives to work, I replaced the power supply HP 400 watts with a power of 750 Watts.  Now, I have all external hard drives of 3.0 and Internet works perfectly.

I want to upgrade the processor and the motherboard to improve its performance and its Windows experience index (lowest value is the graphics card with destop performance for windows aero).

    (1) are the best processors listed in the manual dv7t as Intel Core 2 Duo T9800 2.93 GHz parts 507951-001 and other compatible.

    (2) can I replace the current Board system with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 discrete graphics with 1 GB dedicated memory?  What is the difference between parts # 516294-001 516293-001 against?  The two identical descriptions a.

Is it useful to upgrade (i.e. it would improve windows performance index)?

Is it easy to replace the motherboard?  All the specialty tools?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The dv7 series is a challenge even for experienced laptop technicians. There are several boards of sup and ribbon cables going in all directions. The T9800 will agree and will work on any one of the motherboards in the manual that you apparently (let me know if not) and will greatly increase the WEI on the processor. She is always equivalent to most of the i3 processors.  The HD 4650 is going to be a pretty big improvement on the HD 4530. But that's like saying I'd rather have a 1964 Chevrolet as a 1953 Chevrolet... nor is technologically current as for video cards go. Current demanding games will exceed the 4650's powers.

I checked partsurfer for two motherboards that you list and I checked the manual. There is widespread confusion. PartSurfer lists the jury 294 as a "UMA" or integrated graphics subsystem, and lists the 293 Commission that the use of dual core AMD processors. Something is not good and frankly I would waive the exchange of motherboard, but if you really want to try let me know and I'll try to clear up the confusion.

  • Slim Studio Dell Quad Q8300 - upgrade of the motherboard?

I was on the phone with tell and texts for HOURS, but nothing helped.  No one at Dell has a degree in computer science or of the USA to help me.  They do not speak English clearly, difficult to understand, etc..  (Where are the leaders in this mess?)  So I go here I hope to find someone who can help.

I have a Dell Q8300 Studio Slim.  I bought it in 2010 and I want to upgrade the processor to an i7, 16 Ram (I have 8 now).  The HDD is a 1 to.  When I'm on the phone with Dell, I mixed several times between sales and support.  Support told me that you can improve it buy buy CPU of them.  Then, they say that I need to talk to sales to sell me the part.  Sales agents tell me is NOT upgrade-able and they don't sell CPU? Then, they couldn't give me the name of the motherboard or model number (if it exists).

My fiance, who is a tech savvy guy and knows how to build them, got on the phone with them and Dell could not even answer simple and logical questions on a computer!

    Does anyone know the following:

    1. What is the name of the motherboard? Model number?

    2. is it scalable?

    3. where can I buy the CPU? RAM?

    4. If I need to buy another computer, what other company can I go in addition to DELL?

    Thank you.

Apologies that you might not get a quick response. The Q8300 is a CPU (processor) which was sold on many models of system. For me, to help determine what the hardware is compatible with your system, click on my DELL-username and send me a Message private with Dell's Service tag number. The number of Service Dell number is on a sticker at the back of the system. Depending on the age of the motherboard, chipset, etc, an i7 CPU may be a possibility. We'll see when I get the tag.

  • problems with wireless after the motherboard, cpu and ram upgrade adapters

As the title says, I have recently updated my card mother, cpu and ram (increased from Asrock extreme6 z77/i7 3770 k/Kingston 8 gb hyperx for EVGA ftw/i5 z97 4670 k/g. Skill ripjaw x 16 gb). I always use the same installation of Windows 7 64 via the same SSD. After I was installing new equipment, I used the disc that comes with the motherboard and installed all the drivers that were available (twice, just to be safe). All the features of the OS I had before seem to be there except to exit Device Manager to correctly install the drivers for my wireless (Linksys AE1000 and TP Link N900) adapters. I downloaded the current driver for the Linksys Web site and I have the disc for the TP-Link and I tried several times to install, but keep the same message ' Windows found driver software for your device, but has encountered an error trying to install it. Device Manager recognizes the device and it is not any question of State symbol (IE yellow triangle, etc.) that is displayed in conjunction with an adapter. I tried disable/re-enabling and uninstall/re-installing times and keep having the same problem. I tried to search in several forums of people with similar problems, but none of the resolutions seem to work or are suitable for my situation. Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    Hello

When you upgrade your motherboard, cpu and ram, drivers for particular devices may not be related to other drivers. That's why I suggest you to install all the drivers for the chipset from the manufacturers website and see if that helps.

  • Upgraded to Windows 7 and had to replace the motherboard. Now can't activate Windows 7

I have upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 on my desktop Gateway in 2009. I just had the motherboard replaced and had to reload Windows 7. I reinstalled it as new instead of upgrading. Now I can not activate my key to Windows 7 upgrade. What can I do?

Yes, you can purchase a copy full of the same edition of Windows is installed, and install the key by using the option change the product key.

The quckest to do (not necessarily best) is to buy on Microsoft Store - they will email a key that you can use immediately.

  • Compaq Presario SR5710F upgrade the video upon hearing the motherboard cannot handle high power supp

What is the best graphics card upgrade which can my Compaq Presario SR5710F can support? I'm ready to upgrade the power also, but hear that the motherboard do not put anything above 350 watts regardless of power.

You can install any PCIe x 16 video card you want. The limiting factor is going to be the power supply. More power the longer video card POWER supply. About what you hear about the motherboard, I found nothing to that effect. To qoute request-leo,' I heard a matter of concern that a power high power can somehow 'forcing' the power on the computer, resulting in overheating and burnout. Nothing could be further from the truth. A power supply provides power in response to the need; It does not matter where power grow. If your computer only needs 100 watts, then a 500 Watt power supply will only provide 100 watts. Why have a 500 Watt power supply? For the use of 'pic' (sometimes material will require 'sudden' power, as at the beginning upward or under heavy load) and for future expansion. »

It is better to have too much power too littleand to get the right size. By that I mean the physical size - come in many standard sizes out there, and they are not interchangeable.

  • HP Envy 5540: HP Envy 5540 connect after upgrading the motherboard

I bought a HP Envy 5540 a month ago.  Installed fine on Windows 10, full software, all features runnning well etc.

I had to update the motherboard on the weekend. made when the software did not work properly, gave options to connect wireless and USB printers only. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, not better.

Printing HP Scan DR detects the printer, but says he isn't connected and downloads and runs the installation of the complete software that gives only to a USB connection and wireless options. HP EasyStart also believes that it is, so try to do an installation of the software which again gives options to connect printers connected USB or wireless. Whatever I can't do the wired ethernet connection option I received previously.

    Since this circle 3 - 4 times.

I'm guessing this has to do with the fact that the new motherboard has a new network controller (RealTek), but I can't find any problems. Everything else works well.

Someone told me that it was not possible to update the motherboard in an Alienware 18 because it is a laptop. Is this true?

Tips for laptop are (1) the owner of the system they ship in and (2) a bit more expensive than motherboards - it may be possible to install a more recent revision of the same system (i.e., 18 - R2 in French - R1) but even that is not guaranteed.  It will cost probably $ 400-500 just for the Board of Directors of don't try - no guarantee of success.

  • 405 proDesk G2: how to activate Windows after replacement of the motherboard

I upgraded my G2 405 ProDesk to Windows Pro 10 of the original OEM Windows 7Pro earlier in the year.

Last week, is not the motherboard.  The PC is still under warranty, so HP arranged for a replacement on place of the motherboard.  It worked well, except that windows is activated is no longer.  I called Microsoft with the installation ID in order to get a re-activity windows confirmation ID.  Microsoft said that I need the original license key.  I don't have that because it's an installation OEM from HP with, arguably, the key in the BIOS that has been replaced.

So what I do now?  HP will issue me with a license key given that the PC is still under warranty?

Just to clarify, the license was Windows 8.1 Pro downgraded to Windows 7 Pro, so there was a key Windows 8.1 on the original BIOS but the PC came with Windows 7.

Your post got me thinking, however. I ran the FirmwareTablesView.exe application on the new motherboard and found a license key in the BIOS.  Then, I went to change the product in Settings\Update & security key and enter the key of the new BIOS.  Activation was then successful.
