The user is locked... Switch user___

Lately on Windows Vista Home Premium I have bee getting a new screen when I start a session (the computer is never turned off) is displayed above. I am the only user and I've never blocked the computer. How can I get rid of him?

Hello

1. are you able to connect to the user account?
2. don't you make changes before the show?
3 does your computer crash when the system is idle?
4. your computer connected to a domain is?

We recommend that you first of all to you cross check if 'on summary, logon screen' is selected under screen saver properties. To do this, follow these steps.
1. right click on the desktop, click Customize.
2. from the list of options, click screen saver.
3. make sure that "on the RESUME, logon screen" is not selected.
4. apply the changes.

NOTE: If you only have one account, and if the computer is not connected to the domain. Lucky to happen this issue is only if the computer is locked by mistake.

  • The user account lock & expired

    Hi all

    I'm confused, what is the difference of locking of account & expired he brings to the user or the owner?

    If I blocked an account that it cannot connect.

    If I have an account on expiry it may not also login.

    So, what is the difference?

    Thank you

    My delimma is that we have a lot of 'unknown' users created in our database of PROD. Some oracle tools and some come from our 3 party apps tools. We ask the IT audit

    to remove unused user accounts. But I don't know where users are not used. If I lock it and nobody complains doesn't mean that it is not used? If I have password expire it?

    What is the best to use to check if the USER name is not used? Lock it or it expires?

    You must read this quote from doc that I have provided, because it exactly answers your question. It tells you the difference between expiring and the account was locked.

  • Qosmio F750 - how to disable the user locking after the closure of the laptop?

    Hello

    I have a Qosmio laptop, F750 and I would keep it active after the closing of the screen keyboard. At the time you close the screen that the user is locked and my remote via WiFi connection does not recognize the laptop is ON more.

    I use iTunes with their Remote app to control music on the laptop and want to have the laptop running in the background with the display closed, but as soon as I do this I lose the connection.
    I disabled the hibernation in the power settings, but this only works if the screen remains open.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    Which is really strange.
    When you open the power settings in the Panel on the left side you will find the option choose closing the cover. Set it to do nothing and to test it.

    > and want to have the laptop running in the background with the display closed
    Why? Leave it open. The key is that the screen is off and you can assign parameters of energy too.

  • JDeveloper 12 c how to block created the user.

    Hello, this is my first post. I have a question regarding my request - I use JDeveloper 12 c. In my application, I have implemented the user file, which has all the users who can connect to my request. For each user, I have an option called 'user locked '. I want to do that if the user is locked, it cannot log in to my application. Someone has an idea how I can do?

    It is a code for my .java login:

    public class LoginBean {}

    private String _username;

    private String _password;

    public LoginBean() {}

    LogEvents.addSyslog ("OPEN", "Connection...", null, null, null);

    }

    {} public void setUsername (String _username)

    This ._username = _username;

    }

    public String getUsername() {}

    return _username;

    }

    {} public void setPassword (String _password)

    This ._password = _password;

    }

    public String getPassword() {}

    return _password;

    }

    public String doLogin() {}

    String _username =;

    Byte [] pw = _password.getBytes ();

    LogEvents.addSyslog ("LOGIN. TRUE', 'Connected' - + this ._username, null, null, this ._username);

    sendForward (loginUrl);

    String msgTxt = null;

    Hello

    for that, you or the other

    1 - write your own authentication provider in WLS that authenticates users, but also looks at the flag of "lock".

    2 use the SQL authentication provider and modify the SQL query to include indicator

    3 - in your code, check the user file before performing the authentication. At this point, you already have the user name. Just make sure that you don't tell people that their account is locked before you checked the authentication can be processed successfully. Otherwise - if you let them know right after comparing the lock check - your app can be used to exploit your underlying identity management system.

  • Windows SteadyState and MSE for locked user? Locked user _save files on the desktop? Add the locked user language

    I use Microsoft Windows XP SP3 and Microsoft Security Essentials.

    I did 2 locked users:

    1 locked with custom Restrictions user running Internet Explorer and other Internet browsers, write and draw and nothing much and is welcomed by right clicking on the program icon only run under other Creditentials.

    2 power User, made from MMC with Chater way to have more power that any user who can not only surf the Internet, but also play games online, and this user is also locked.

    My question is: how to make 1. User has locked protected with Microsoft Security Essentials, cause seems MSE is not protect this account, and I can't be sure because of the locked account cannot see even if it is protected, I put MSE on startup but that does not put MSE icon on the taskbar. If it is not protected is not a good cause for the idea that the user navigates Net.

    Another thing I want to do:

    For both locked users able to save files to the desktop and I have it unchecked in Windows SteadyState, but when I connect them and when I log into files are not saved on their desktop computers. So what is the point of selection/deslecting in sign of Restriction if the files went once they logout?

    I wanted to do administrator can retrieve files from their office soon logs in.

    Is - it possible and keep them locked?

    One last thing - since English isn't the only language to be used on 1 locked user account

  • PC goes in / lock user every minute switch

    Computer runs very slowly and screen saver/lock/switch user cycles every minute.

    Do it the less shrunk down to the fact that some programs are reset timeout to 1 minute as well as screen saver automatically check the "logon screen" option.  When I change this setting, then click on apply or OK, he immediately returned to 1 minute and switch 'on' the logon screen display option.
    This is in regards to my dad's computer.  He has recently 'installed an update of a popup"and did before causing viruses.  The only problem is that AVG is executed and updated (and was when he made it) and a full AVG scan came up with nothing.  I am running Microsoft Safety Scanner in safe mode - that reminds me to mention that this problem occurs in safe mode as well (same program apparently running and changing this setting).
    Thoughts?
    Thank you

    Hi mpccmd,

    1. did you of recent changes on the system?

    ScreenSaverIsSecure = 0

    ScreenSaverTimeOut = time in seconds

    Earlier today, I turned on my Toshiba laptop (Satellite P855-S5200) and got some kind of error message, and then he led me to a screen asking if I wanted to do a system repair or start windows normally. I chose the repair of the system, but then it seemed stuck in this process (it took forever and nothing happened), so I turned off the laptop (I don't know, not big), started in safe mode, and did a system restore to a restore point from a week ago. The 'starting Windows' screen come and don't go, no problem. Everything seemed fine until I got to the selection screen of the user (by default blue with the little Hummingbird or something else). Then he just sat there, on this screen. I could see the Hummingbird and the wavy lines, but there is no button to click on my user. I just let it sit there and after about 5 minutes, the usernames popped up and I was able to continue to use the computer with no problems, no speed no questions whatsoever. Now, he makes me wait each time, always five minutes, pop up user names before. It does when I reboot the machine and when I try to switch users.
