The View object: count (*) in the custom query

Hello

I want to create a display with custom query object containing the count (*):

select in_owner,in_processing_status,count(*) from inquiries group by in_owner,in_processing_status;

I need this to create a numerical value for the axis y in the bar chart.

I get an error message:

"Either this is not a valid name or an object with that name already exists."

Is there no workaround available, how do I get this to work, or I have to do with a data source by programming?

Studio Edition Version 12.1.3.0.0

Thank you and best regards,

Daniel

I solved the problem by adding alias for count (*):

SELECT count from in_owner, in_processing_status, count (*) Group of inquiries by in_owner, in_processing_status;

Thank you all for the support!

BR,

Daniel

    This problem happens when your OIMMetadata app does not work or not in Active state. Then, go to the Weblogic Console and check that the application of the OIMMetadata runs or not if she is nine or any other (not active) in order better to restart the server. This will solve your problem.

  • Approvers on the approval step relief custom / query

    Hello experts,

    I ran into a problem when you create a custom query for an approval step on a workflow application. When I assign approvers relief on request STANDARD (for example, the Manager of the recipient) and approval step is not no matter what approvers based on the query, the approvers of rescue are showing correctly and demand goes to the approvers of relief role. However, when I try to do the same to a custom query, approval step shows no approving relief and the workflow is interrupted.

    I compared OOTB a single approval procedure custom and see no difference, both have only one query and both work when some users match the query. But when no user is the emergency request approvers only work for OOTB application.

    All the world experiences anything like this in v 7.0.1? Is this a bug?

    Thank you

    Sergei

    Markus,

    Thank you for your response, I managed to solve the problem, the custom query that we used was a blank line, then it was never going to the approvers help at all.

    Thank you

    Sergei

  • Read only view object replaces all of my attributes transitional when I change it

    We have a read only view object that is a large query that calls a stored procedure.   If I change the query and simply add a space character and save it, all the attributes change to be transitional and it completely breaks the view object.   The query uses an alias for each of the selected values, and I was able to replicate this with the simple query stand alone below.

    SELECT "Value1" as requestId,

    'value2' as accountId,

    "value3" as "Mr_Barcode1."

    "value4" as "dr_date."

    "Value5" as "dr_user_first_name".

    Of the DOUBLE

    Create a read-only display object and paste the query above in the sql pane and keep.   It creates correctly calculated for the 5 columns returned attributes.    Then enter and modify the query and change anything (add a space) and save.   The last 3 attributes get changed to transients and the expression gets deleted in each attribute

    It's about Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4.   I thought I would post here first of all before you try open a bug with Oracle.

    I discovered that the problem is related to what the quotes around the alias.  The person who created this originally borrowed display object from another application and the alias sql was points/periods in the names and the only way that works if you put quotes around it as below.   That works well in SQL Developer, but I get the obvious mentioned the problem when using this query in jdeveloper.   If I remove the points and the quotes in the alias I don't encounter this problem.

    SELECT "Value1" as request_Id,

    'value2' as argument account_Id,

    "value3" as "d.barcode_Id."

    "value4" as "d.date1."

    "Value5" as "d.first_Name".

    Of the DOUBLE

    Gets the XML in view objects defined like this (apostrophes around the double quotes).  It works the first time you save but when you edit the expression is removed, it gets changed to a transitional.

    AliasName = ' "dr_date."

    Expression = ""dr_date"

    I still think it's a bug, but now I can work around it.

  • What will happen to the SQL Query based object View (EmployeesVO)

    Schema used: HR

    1. I created a view through SQL Query view object object (Table Employees - EmployeesVO).
    2. Creates an entity of the Employees (EmployeesEO) table object.
    3. In the section EmployeesVO (View object) entity objects, I chose EmployeesEO (entity object).

    What will happen to the View SQL Query object based on (EmployeesVO) will it change to VO based on entities or still to be based query VO.

    It is there because you can still base your query based Vo EO according to Vo.

    After that you base your VO on EO you can now use 'Add the attribute of the entity' to base your attribute on the atrributes of EO. Or if you skilled enough you can manually change the XML to VO

  • problem with bind variables in the SQL query view object

    Hi all

    I use JDev 11.1.2.4.0.

    I have a problem with bind variables in the SQL query view object.

    This is my original SQL

    SELECT sum(t.TIME) , t.legertype_id
    FROM LEDGER t
    WHERE t.nctuser_id = '20022'
          AND to_char(t.insertdate,'YYYYMMDD') in ('20130930','20130929')
    group by t.legertype_id

    In my view .xml object query tab, I am writing this

    SELECT sum(t.TIME) , t.legertype_id
    FROM LEDGER t
    WHERE   t.nctuser_id = '20022'
        AND to_char(t.insertdate,'YYYYMMDD') in :dddd
    group by t.legertype_id

    Davis here is a variable of Type liaison: String, updatable and necessary.

    I try to deal with Davis as ('20130930 ', ' 20130929') hoping the view object, run as my original SQL.

    But failed. The view object retrieves 0 line after that I run.

    Why?

    Thank you! ('2original SQL0130930', '20130929') ('20130930 ', ' 20130929')

    A variable binding cannot be used as this is why you must use years table. Check decompilation binary ADF: using oracle.jbo.domain.Array with ViewCriteria to see a solution.

  • Best place to initialize the View object query where clause or params

    Where is the best place to initialize the View object 'where' clause before the page is initially rendered? Or how should it be done?
    Specifically, I can't set these values in the entity or view objects because I need information from the user or information Session
    the user has entered before you navigate to the page. I want to prepare the View object so that the results of the query appears something reasonable
    the first time before using chooses search.

    Note: The view object must exist and I need to access managed beans to define the query.

    Is there an event hook (java code) that can be called before the page is rendered?
    Also, there are hooks that can be called when the user navigates to another tab or page?

  • If a view object query returns no rows, can the vacuum to be tested at all?

    All those who know or have also experienced:

    I guess that the answer should be Yes, but I tried anyway, I still didn't worked. Here is the code (it's a method behind a command button, a bean of support (I use JDeveloper 10.1.3.4).) In the code, LoggedInStudent is the name of a view object; ZBLCModule is the name of the application module):
        public String commandButton1_action() {
            FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
            ValueBinding vb = fc.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{data}");
            BindingContext bc = (BindingContext)vb.getValue(fc);
            DCDataControl dc = bc.findDataControl("ZBLCModuleDataControl");
            ApplicationModule am = (ApplicationModule)dc.getDataProvider();
            ZBLCModuleImpl zblcam = (ZBLCModuleImpl)am;
            LoggedInStudentImpl studentsFound = (LoggedInStudentImpl)zblcam.getLoggedInStudent();

            String navCase = null;

            // Test (1): if the view cache is empty; always bombs up the application if it IS empty:
            if(studentsFound.getAllRowsInRange().length == 0) {
                navCase = "userNotFound";
            // (2) The following three tests gets to run only when the cache is not empty; they work fine.
            } else if (((Number)studentsFound.first().getAttribute("HoursAttm")).floatValue() == 0.0) {
                navCase = "noHours";
            } else if (((Number)studentsFound.first().getAttribute("Balance")).floatValue() > 0.0) {
                navCase = "notZero";
            } else if (!(studentsFound.first().getAttribute("Validated").equals(" "))) {
                navCase = "validated";
            } else {
                navCase = "zeroBal";
            }
            return navCase;
        }
    When the view object query returns a line, the whole of the application works without error. When the query returns no rows, test (1) always bombs toward the top of the application, prompting a Houston-30003 error.

    (1) test, I tried the following:
      if (studentsFound.getAllRowsInRange().length == 0)
      if (studentsFound.first() == null)
      if (studentsFound.getEstimatedRowCount() == 0)
      if (studentsFound.isDead()) //I do not know what isDead() does; just tried desperately.
      if (studentsFound.equals(null))
      if (studentsFound.getCurrentRow() == null)
    With each of these events, I got an error of Houston-30003. It does not matter what looks like the conditional test; It is important only when the objects from view cache is empty. If the view cache is not empty, everything, including the test (1), works very well. And when the cache is empty is not because of the failure of the connection to the database, but because the student is not in the data table and line are for the student.

    It is a requirement of the company to do something when the view object query returns no rows. Can it be tested at all? How?

    Or is there something wrong in the first lines in the method before the {color: green} String navCase = null; {color} line?

    Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello

    What you have done, is to get a handle to the object that CAN execute queries to the database.
    However, you do not query the database.

    Just add:

      LoggedInStudentImpl studentsFound = (LoggedInStudentImpl)zblcam.getLoggedInStudent();
      //New line
      studentsFound.executeQuery();

    The code that Shay has given you is when you do not have a request for all module, but since you are talking about a command etc button I guess that the module of the application is already active.
    The line I gave you should be enough to make it work.

    I'd be careful with the

    studentsFound.hasNext();

    I suggest to use estimatedRowCount();

  • Passivation and activation of the parameters of view object.

    Hello

    I use Jdeveloper version 11.1.2.3.0.

    I have several settings view objects that are passed as default values for example:

    My view object has this query:

    Select user_id, username, password from user where user_id =?

    I'm a parameter passing pUserId with the default 'adf.userSession.userData.mfcUserId '.

    Everything works fine front of passivation.

    It's the activation method:

    protected void activateState(Element element) {
            super.activateState(element);
            if (element != null) {
                // 1. Search the element for any <jbo.counter> elements
                NodeList nl = element.getElementsByTagName(USER_DATA_ELEMENT);
                if (nl != null) {
                    // 2. If any found, loop over the nodes found
                    for (int i = 0; i < nl.getLength(); i++) {
                        NamedNodeMap attrs = nl.item(i).getAttributes();
                        if (attrs.getLength() == 2) {
                            Node userDataElementKey = attrs.getNamedItem(USER_DATA_ELEMENT_KEY);
                            Node userDataElementValue = attrs.getNamedItem(USER_DATA_ELEMENT_VALUE);
                            if (userDataElementKey != null && userDataElementValue != null) {
                                String key = userDataElementKey.getNodeValue();
                                String value = userDataElementValue.getNodeValue();
                                System.out.println("putting in userData:" + key + ":" + value);
                                this.getSession().getUserData().put(key, value);
                            }
                        }
                    }
                }
            }
    }

    All parameters that are passivees are properly recovered after activation, and I see them in the newspaper () "put in userData: But all the tables that use these settings are empty after activation.

    Like six months ago or a year before it was working properly after passivation and activation. Something has changed in the application or in libraries, and I do not understand what it is. I don't remember the time right, because this problem has been noticed recently, but probably existed for some time.

    Concerning

    Found the problem. I have a dynamic where the objects clause which is called for each of the opinions that I have this problem. After the execution of the view I always call a method that adds a where clause clause and then adds a dynamic parameter, and then run the query.  The final request looks like this:

    SELECT * FROM (SELECT select user_id, username, password from user where user_id =?)

    QRSLT WHERE ((NM_DECODED_NAME) upper: upper (EMAIL) | upper (PHONE) "like '%' | superior (?) |) '%');

    I pass a parameter to the view object. By default, this parameter is null.

    iter.getViewObject () .setWhereClauseParam (2, null);

    Basically, in the end, he becomes select column1 from table1 WHERE (upper (column1) | "like '%': superior (null) |) » %');

    et « % » || superior (null) | ' %' is equivalent to ' %' then it returns all records. But after activation this "null" is turned into something else and it will not return any records.

    This only happens after activation...

    It took me a year to find this bug already exists...

    Thanks for the help, Timo.

  • VMware service manager - query about the customer approval task

    Hi team,

    I have a question about the customer approval task. In the workflow, there are two approval tasks: customer approval task (shown available for common to approve client portal) and the task (see sm9 for officer to approve). We wonder when opening a session a request and attach an object, the object could be shown on the customer approval task in the Web page of the portal? And how?

    Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

    Hello

    You can easily change the approval control model (LiteApprovalReview.htm) by adding a code of extra table row in the table of information request:

    Objects

    Then you should be able to display the list of attachments of application in the customer portal approval form.

    Is a little more difficult for the approver to open the attachment - it must have permissions to view the query. You can do this by configuring the roles system (preferred method) or by changing the query .

    I used once before RowMatch() and worked for me.
    Here is an example of the developer's guide. It is well worth a try by you.
    Good luck

    Example 42-14 Performing In-Memory Filtering with RowMatch

    // In TestClientRowMatch.java
    // 1. Query the full customer list
    ViewObject vo = am.findViewObject("CustomerList");
    vo.executeQuery();
    showRows(vo,"Initial database results");
    // 2. Mark odd-numbered rows selected by setting Selected = Boolean.TRUE
    markOddRowsAsSelected(vo);
    showRows(vo,"After marking odd rows selected");
    // 3. Use a RowMatch to subset row set to only those with Selected = true
    RowMatch rm = new RowMatch("Selected = true");
    vo.setRowMatch(rm);
    // Note: Only need to set SQL mode when not defined at design time
    vo.setQueryMode(ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_VIEW_ROWS);
    vo.executeQuery();
    showRows(vo, "After in-memory filtering on only selected rows");
    // 5. Further subset rowset using more complicated RowMatch expression

    vo.setRowMatch(rm);
    vo.executeQuery();
    showRows(vo,"After in-memory filtering with more complex expression");
    // 5. Remove RowMatch, set query mode back to database, requery to see full list
    vo.setRowMatch(null);
    vo.setQueryMode(ViewObject.QUERY_MODE_SCAN_DATABASE_TABLES);
    vo.executeQuery();

    You seem to have two problems here and are confusing them.  You must break the problem into two parts

    (1) extract the data from the entry and create the objects you want to display

    2) display in a list, a set of objects.

    Let's get the sorted first premiera.

    I will suggest what to do here, but in practice, you might actually think about this yourself as part of the design phase of your application.  You should do this, not me, because then you will have all the information available.  At the present time, I have just what you said, which is not much.  So maybe what I'm telling you is not correct for your application.  Only you can decide that.  And be blunt here, you should have decided this before you start coding.  Do you want you could lead down the wrong path.  You must think of your application as a home - as the architect must design all the rooms, and how they will be built, before you start building the House.  You do not, then we are building the rooms on the fly.  Who knows if they will be fit at home?

    In this case, I think you need to create an object that represents each of the elements in the internal array of new data.  call this object

    NewsItem

    This object will have attributes, such as its title, content, date, the linked image and so on, each of whom have will get and set methods.  While you treat each inner element fetch you the associated entry and update the object.

    When you have finished the inner loop of processing, you now have a complete

    NewsItem

    Object, so you will add it to a collection, an array of NewsItem objects, call this _newsItems.  You will create it at the beginning - you know how many entries it takes because it is the number of entries in your outdoor table.

    So before you start to deal with JSON, create your table and the 'index' value of 0.

    Once you have created your Newsitem, add this in the table to the position 'index' and increment "index".

    And once you have analyzed all the JSON, you will have a complete picture.  This is part 1 finished!

    And note in your drawListRow, you are given a clue - that is the index in your tables in _newsItems.  So you can easily find which entry to view and display it correctly.  But it is part 2 and is a separate issue.

  • Getting context object null when using the custom menu item.

    Hi all

    I implemented a sample application to add menu item custom to the list of messages and we test this build on 9000 os 5.0.0.41 Blackberryy 1

    On BB 9000, we have 2 message inbox, A like Blackberry by default message inbox and B as long as the Inbox for the e-mail account, I have set up on BB 900.
    I implemented the menu custom application to add menu on the message list option.
    I see this option on both my inbox, the question that I am facing is when I click on the menu item by selecting the email in the message of default A Blackberry inbox I can get the context object were like when I click on the same message next to the Inbox B I'm always get the context as a NULL object.

    Below is the code I used to add the custom menu item.

    Public Shared Sub main (String [] args)
    {
    If (args! = null & args.length > 0) {}
    call from another entry point. Add menu items mark as Spam and mark as suspects.
    {if(args[0].) (Equals ("GUI"))}
    try {}

    create menu items.

    MyMenu ApplicationMenuItem = new EmailFile();
    Add the menu item in the list view and send by e-mail.
    Amir ApplicationMenuItemRepository = ApplicationMenuItemRepository.getInstance ();
    amir.addMenuItem (ApplicationMenuItemRepository.MENUITEM_MESSAGE_LIST, mymenu);
    } catch (Exception e) {}
    Utility.debugLog (try (), CLASSNAME, 'hand', Utility.EXCEPTION_INFO);
    System.out.println("Error:"+e.ToString());)
    }
    } else {}
    show on the application of spam...
    AppMain _theApp = new AppMain();
    _theApp.enterEventDispatcher ();
    }
    } else {}
    show on the application of spam...
    AppMain _theApp = new AppMain();
    _theApp.enterEventDispatcher ();
    }
    }

    Can we know what is the problem in my code or something I'm missing.

    Thanks in advance.

    Navneet Gupta.

    application menu items have been bugged for ages. There is nothing you can do except change your workflow. in some cases, you can recover the app screen and trying to extract something of these fields, but becomes more difficult in the new OS versions because of custom fields used by rim.

  • Developer Mode error: outdated., the xxAM.xxVO1 view object contained no trace. The records displayed may have been deleted, or the current record of the view object is not properly initialized.

    Hi all

    I'm creating a Maunal search page.

    To do this, I created a view based on a custom display object.

    Page contains 2 parameters.

    If I give all settings and click the OK button.

    It gives the following error.

    Developer Mode error: outdated data

    This page contains outdated information. This error could have been caused by the use of the buttons of the browser (the browser back button, for example). If the browser navigation buttons were not used, this error may result from coding errors in the application code. Please check press the back button on the browser developer guide - view primary key object comparison section to review the main cause of this error and correct the mistakes of coding.

    Cause:
    The view BLTrinDisplayAM.ViewVO1 object did not contain any record. The records displayed may have been deleted, or the current record of the view object is not properly initialized.

    To visit, please click on the Home link at the top of the application page to return to the main menu. Next, go to this page using the app's navigation controls (menu, links and so on) rather than use the controls of the browser as rear or front.

    If I don't give any parameter and click go Button.The content of the view are displayed.

    So if I pass all parameters and click Go, then the corresponding record is displayed.

    Why, for the first time, if I give the parameter and click Go, obsolete data error is coming?

    Please help me.

    Grateful for your help!

    -Aren

    You use the object of the view for the search criteria and search results fields.

    I suggest you to remove references of VO fields of search criteria, item1 and item2.

    And in the event of the button 'Go' in the processFormRequest, get the criteria for field values entered by the user as below and run the object (ViewVO1) of the view by using these values.

    String buCode = pageContext.getParameter ("item1");

    String lsiCode = pageContext.getParameter ("item2");

    Thank you
