the Vista 64 bit for windows 10 or 8 upgrade
I know that this issue has been addressed, but with the thrust of MS to get everyone on Windows 10, I thought that I would like to ask a few questions. I have two new computers as well on Windows and 10 a tablet on the 8.1. The tablet will not load Windows 10... something that disappoints me.
But the reason of this post is that I also have a HP laptop, 5 years always on Vista. The operating system has a lot of files corrupted with sfc / was unable to trouble. Now, it takes a lot of time to start from a complete stop.
Then... I want to upgrade to a new OS Ms. .or this trade for a new Apple. (The thing about Apple is just trying to compare how it compares to Windows 10 on my Asus and Dell computers.
But if I can improve this old computer... .well, then I have will continue to use it and forget about Apple at the moment.
What can I do? Can I upgrade to Windows 10? Should I buy Windows 7? I would like to reload Vista, but I think that MS will not continue to support.
Someone can help me understand how to repair this laptop and is an update worth it?
Hello
Extended support is very good.
You still get your updates, but there will be no more updates to the operating system.

Re: Satellite X 200 - 22F - is - can I use BIOS of Vista 64 bit for Windows 7?
Hello!
Can I use Vista 64 - bit - 2.50 for my X 200 - 22 Satellite BIOS update? I just installed Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 bit and it works fine.
Before that, I had XP-32 bit running.Thank you in advance!
Tom
Hi tn411,
I guess that the BIOS of 64 bit Vista would be the best choice for Windows 7 64 bit. The other version of BIOS on the Toshiba site seems to be for 32 bit OS, so you can choose the 64-bit version of Vista.
If you have any other questions, please let us know! :)

Vista-64 bit for Windows 7 32 bit upgrade
I have a computer I bought with Vista 64 bit OEM factory needs reinstalled operating system installed (my kids computer - trashed by viruses). I bought a copy of Windows 7 32 bit. The upgrade to Vista 64-bit to 32-bit windows 7 will be a problem with system drivers or a problem at all? Or should I buy Windows 7-64 bit? If so, can I get a credit or upgrade to the 32-bit version I've already spent money on?
Hello
ask whenever you bought windows 7 32-bit on a credit
64-bit to 32-bit or 32-bit to 64-bit is not a upgrade path
It must be done with a clean install with a final certificate of Windows 7
Information of Windows 7:
It depends on if the manufacturer of your computer/laptop has windows 7 drivers available for him as to if it will work properly
check with them
and read this

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista
Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
____________________________________________________________
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
__________________________________________________________
or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Windows Vista 32-bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit to run CS4 Premiere Pro
Hello, I need some advice on whether to upgrade my computer or not! I'm currently under CS4 Premiere Pro (version 4.2.1) with HD 1080 images. My computer is a HP d4999z Image maker (Pavilion) using Vista 32 - bit OS. It has a processor AMD 9600 Quad-core 2.3 GHz (phenom ADM 64 Nvidia), Ram is 4 GB, Windows Vista Home Prem (service pak2), a Nvidia GEForce 8800GT, creative SB-x-Fi, 3 internal HD and 2 HD external.
I use CS4 PremPro for my HD video editing. I am a serious amateur and not a professional. HP said I can move to Windows 7 Ultimate on my current computer and the GB of ram from 4 GB to 8 GB and 8 GB is the maximum. So my question is... will be an upgrade like this (wind 7/64 and more RAM), give me treatment significantly more quickly or better? Ultimate Windows 7/64, and a more stable platform on which to run CS4?
Finally, I'll go to CS5; but not on this computer. Probably at the end of the year next to the new computer.
Thanks for any advice. Jean
Jean,
I would not invest in this configuration more. Keep it for your next system. Invest in an additional memory of HP will cost bundle, which can be thrown next year with a new PC, because you need then of different memory. For your next system, forget AMD. Intel is suitable for mounting. Your current system is 20 to 30 times slower that a good machine Intel.

How can I switch from Windows Vista 32-bit for Windows Vista 64 - bit?
Hello my PC is a 32-bit and I checked and it is expandable to a 64-bit so my? Now this is what to do from here which means I know it is evolutionary, but what do I do now...
Please help me understand what I need to do Thks in advance.original title: Desktop PC Vista Home Basic...? ..On the same hardware, there will be no difference of speed of moving to 64-bit. There are some marginal benefits of security with Windows 64-bit.
Since at least the five years, almost all of the processors are able to run in 32-bit and 64-bit mode. See for more information on current processors that work with Windows;
http://www.Intel.com/en_UK/products/processor/Corei7/index.htm
http://www.AMD.com/us/products/pages/processors.aspx
It's really a matter of how much you want to spend for the performance you need. See this for more information on what you will need for a high performance system:
http://www.TomsHardware.com/reviews/core-I7-3930k-3820-test-benchmark, 3090.html
You can not simply exchange one processor to another. It must be put in correspondence with the motherboard.
You are referring to a Vista Home Basic Office. Home Basic is usually installed on low-specification PCs which are not powerful enough to run all of Vista's features.
If you want to run something like Adobe CS5, you would be probably better off buying a new computer Windows 7 to try to upgrade your existing computer.

I have Windows Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 bit edition
I bought Windows Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 in a box in 2008, I installed the 32 edition because at the time I was told not all software will work with the edition 64 a month ago, I decided to windows 7 Ultimate Via Amazon purchase which proved be a copy of the counterfeit money and Amazon me has now repaid , so what I do, well I could buy another copy of windows 7 Ultimate or I could give the other Version of windows that came in the same box with a product key a go, so I removed and formatted the hard drive and reinstalled 64 bit version on my drive using the product key original that I used on the 32-bit Edition for four years and when I try to register the 64 bits edition, that is to say someone else using this product key, you will have to buy another key or a copy of windows 7. Well, I decided to wait until Windows 8 will be released, that's why I decided to try the Vista 64 - bit Edition?
Or better yet, I might switch to a Mac OS x system?
The answer is not to buy Windows 7 from a dealer on the market of Amazon. Stick to Amazon itself. Amazon Marketplace is as eBay and other auction sites and online delivery. It is composed of persons whose practices sales are questionable. You won't get counterfeit product from Amazon itself.
You have to solve the problem with Vista 64-bit using phone activation.
Activate by phone. http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc736912 (WS.10) .aspx
Or click Start and type ' slui.exe 4.
Do not answer all prompts automatic until it asks you if you want to speak to an agent.
If you continue to have problems with activation, run the MGADiag (download and save to the desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 ) tool
Once downloaded, run the tool. Click on the button continue, after a short time, continue button will change to a copy button. Click the copy button in the tool (ignore the error at this stage) and then paste (with r-click and paste or Ctrl + V) in your message. -
I learned from a few sources online that I can get a 'upgrade' for the version OEM of Windows Vista Home Premium 32 - bit for Windows 7 free. Is this true? Should I participate in forums feedback for Windows, etc. in order to acquire such a valuable product?
If not, is there another 'economic' way to get a copy of windows 7?
Really appreciate your time in answering my question.
Despite what you may have "competent" wrong, there is no "free" upgrade to Windows 7. You can buy Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store. Carey Frisch

I get the error code 80073712 - windows component store is damaged - when you try to install windows vista SP1 and also the Cumulative security update to explore 7 (KB978207). Fails every time.
I followed the advice and installed the system update tool for Windows Vista (does this twice), but still cannot download and install updates - get error 80073712.
How can I fix the corrupted windows components store?
Thank you
Dan
CMDC,
If the SFC was not able to repair files then the best thing to do is to reinstall Windows. You can try running a disk error check, if it fixes all of the problems, and then rerun the SFC and then install and run the System Update tool. If there is still a problem with the SFC nto be able to complete then you should do a reinstall.Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers
