the Windows Task Manager displays only the CPU ussage

Can't do the Task Manager to display any other tabs or do anything except show me CPU ussage.  I computer re started.  reopened and closed several times.  rather frustrating is that I do not see the programs running behind it. There is no option for a right-click or alt - tab to find options can only close with alt - f4 may not even reduce it to hide.  any ideas?

P.S. I can't load up to the screen shot of what I speak.  are there any other choice too or I'm just very beast today?

It's a little more complicated that you might have a few running services that you can do without.

Also some programs add services that might not really need to start automatically.

To see these compare these in Start - type in the search box-> find Services at top right click on RUN AS ADMIN as the default Vista as shown here by BlackViper. Ignore and who are disabled (which do not run) or manual (which work only on request) - for any automatic or automatic delayed start you can post them here if you need help to decide if you should run. Some of these can be assigned to the stop and
Manual if the program calling can run them as needed.

BlackViper made also some improvements to default windows services but I wouldn't do those unless you
really understand the full meaning of change a default service. Then use it as a tool to compare.

In the Windows Task Manager, I have 76 processes running. What are they all? Can I reduce/close them?

I am only a very lightweight browser and the user of the social network. I do not use my PC for something else.

It is average for a system Windows does not.

Windows is broken down into different components so they can be executed in parallel to improve performance.

Their closure will cause your computer to malfunction and eventually fails.

Run process Explorer to give you a description of each process and information on the services that are running in each svchost process.

  • "The Windows Task Manager has stopped working" the INSTANT Task Manager opens... process of safe mode does nothing.

I am running windows 7 64 bit and have encountered a problem. Whenever I have open tasks, any way Manager (msconfig, cntrl shift escape, Ctrl alt del, etc.), task manager opens and white and displays "Windows Task Manager has stopped working". I am increasingly frustrated with the problem. I tried booting in safe mode AND clean boot, but the problem persists. On top of that, the system restore fails whenever I'm trying to do.

Could you please help me get running again the Task Manager?

Do you feel the behavior if you log on with a different user account?

Maybe, try to rename a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskManager to for example a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskManager.OLD in the registry. Then try to start the Task Manager again.

    Hello

Method 1: perform a system restore and see if it helps.

    System restore

Method 2: check in safe mode, if the issue not to persist in safe mode, and then put the computer to boot.

Step 1: start the computer in safe mode

Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed to start Windows are installed.

Start your computer in SafeMode (Windows 7)

Step 2: put the computer to boot and see if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: follow step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • Second firefox.exe appearing in the process in Windows Task Manager...

    Hi all!

I started facing this problem a few days ago and do not know what is the cause:

In my Windows Task Manager, there are two firefox.exe that appear under the process (under Applications, Firefox only appears once). I used to complete the process to close each of the firefox.exe that appear and the result was special. Depending on whether one I finish, either the window closes completely as well as all tabs or hangs the tab that is currently open and I get the message: "bad new first: this tab broke down."

I scanned my computer with AVG for viruses and everything was clean back. I've also scanned with ESET for malware and nothing was found.

Any idea what I can do to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

You may see the new multiprocessue feature in Firefox.

Code name for Firefox multiprocessu 'e10s. https://wiki.Mozilla.org/Firefox/multiprocess

Started with Firefox 48 for a very small percentage of users with noi extensions installed; expanded in Firefox 49 to a slightly more large group of users; expansion in Firefox 50. Automatically disabled when too many installed extensions are detected and extensions that do not yet support e10s are detected.

Compatibility of the extension for the most popular extensions that are hosted on AMO are listed here: http://arewee10syet.com/

    To disable multiprocess:

Type of topic: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning. This in the search field at the top of the browser.tabs.remote.autostart page. Double-click this preference in the reduced list located under the search box to switch to the 'value' of True to False.

Although it is always possible for malware to masquerade as a legitimate file, HpqPhUnl.exe is related to the HP Photosmart Essential software provided with printers HP all-in-one.

It seems there were several problems with Photosmart Essential and HP has replaced with HP Photo Creations.  HP claims, however, that he "supports" always Photosmart Essential.  See http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02475046&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3857372

    Phongng714,

The error that you normally get is due to a lack of Message special access permission rights. You can learn more about this here. You will notice in the section Additional Considerations that he mentions this authorization. You can manage permissions on a per connection basis in Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration. The permissions are listed on the Security tab in the connection Properties dialog box.

Could check you the permission level and see if that solves it.
