    Hi abucci1990

Do you have a previous backup of your device, because to recover your device from this current situation you lose data within your device, try the steps to recover your device from this current situation:

    (Credit JSanders)

There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

    Hi Bbnoviceja

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

Regarding your backup problem, plug your device and run BlackBerry Desktop Software for windows in the office software click Devive > delete data > data choose selected > scroll social power database > mark it and whose losses. Once this part is deleted, try to perform a full backup.

KB29522 : "Backup of database error" message is generated to Database Options smart card when you back up the smart phone BlackBerry with the BlackBerry Desktop Software

Regarding your second question with memory, remember that you have the memory card and then try to transfer these multimedia files from your device to your media card memory:

  • Screen blackBerry Smartphones Black, red light flashing

I was downloading an application when a screen message told me to reboot to continue the installation. I pressed the Off button, but now, despite pressure on the Start button, the phone will not come alive, even if she was recently charged. There is just a black screen and the little red light flashes from time to time.

    Hi HarryTyrrell

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums

By pressing the button Off is not the correct way to restart our BlackBerry device, please perform a battery pull reboot as this device while is powered on remove waiting battery for a min. and then reinsert it wait until the device take a long restart. See if that helps.

If this isn't the case, then try to start your machine in Safe Mode and in Safe Mode uninstall your downloaded recently or that you think is responsible for this.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck in emergency call only and can not enter my password safe alpha that will only allow numbers

After a software (12 hours) update my Blackberry Curve 9320 is stuck in mode 'emergency calls only '.  I have an alpha security password, so it allows me to enter it will allow of only to try to fix or reconnect to the network - numbers from the keyboard.

Tried to remove and reinsert the battery - no joy.

How do I either get my password entered or exit emergency calls only?

    Hello

Resolved to myself.  Already had a digital security password so I tried to put that in.  It was accepted & seemed to allow the network to reconnect that meant while I was off emergency calls only mode & could enter my password safe alpha & enter my phone.

Rather strange but suggested that my SIM card can hold my old password that I used with my last phone.

Unusual scenario but the hope that it might help others.

  • My theme blackBerry smartphones is in limbo

On a Bold 9780 OS6 with Rogers and "Fed" bought by Hedone go to App World. Download froze and when I rebooted I found the theme in my list of "uninstalled" app WITHOUT any prompt to "Reinstall" as normally it is. A refreshing list tried twice to no available and app world will not respond to my requests for information. Someone told anyrthing on that?

Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest that you clear the cache of the AppWorld application:

    1. open the App World

    2. go to my world

    3. follow one (and only one!) of these steps:

    3. for the BB keyboard-oriented - hold down the ALT key and press on, in the sequence R, then S, then T

3B. for touch screen only BBs - hold the num-lock (! 123 button) so that it hangs and then press on, in the sequence 3, then 4, then)

    3 c for the most recent (e, g., OS6 and 7) BB s, see this KB:

    • KB24714 How to clear the cache of BlackBerry App World

    4 AppWorld must close

    5. If your BB locks after issuing clear cache, do a battery pull reboot

    6. return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it can be slow, while it re - sync).

If (4) stage arrives not as described, then the empty the cache failed.

I hope it'll work for you! Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones flashing red light after the charge for the night

I have a Rogers Bold 9900 that don't would not start this morning after last night.  Instead, I have a red led slow blink.  I tried to connect it to my Blackberry Desktop Software, but he would not see it (kept saying that he could not connect).  I understand it is a common problem with the 9900 and the telephone exchange is the only solution.  Generally I go back to Rogers and try to exchange the phone but I bought the phone outright and can not find the reception of anywhere.  Since this model is less than one year (so my phone can not guarantee being is another way to exchange it without my original receipt?)  I go back to BB Android and actually well liked my "BOLD" (especially in tandem with my Playbook), but now I find myself on an old Android phone because my "BOLD" is dead.

Rogers's account of the purchase and you're on their network as well.

    You'll be fine.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones No. Red Star or envelope for new SMS

With the help of my 8800 - when I receive emails again, increases the number by email envelope unreads and a red star appears on the envelope to signfiy for new emails in.  The same occurred for the SMS messages that arrive.

Lately, I noticed that it is no longer applicable for SMS messages. New can happen without any of what happens. No envelope, no number, no red star. It is on the Strip at the top of my screen using the current O2 Zen theme - which is what I've always used before, so no change.

They red stars don't seem to verticals 6 icons on the screen, but I still don't see these icons, especially when the screen is locked.

Not sure if I explained that besides I could but hope, it makes sense. How can I get my stars red and envelopes back on this band at the top of the page for SMS?  I tried settings and forum for anything obvious, but without success.

Try to reset the unit, remove the battery for 30 seconds and install again, check if the problem has been resolved.

  • BlackBerry smartphones stuck on "phone

I started a message on it, but it disappeared at half way through.  I am a new owner of the curve.  I'm stuck on the "phone that was working fine until this morning.  When I try to unlock it rejects my PIN and gives me the command "enter Blackberry" when I enter my PIN or the Blackberry, it refuses to unlock but calls for again "enter Blackberry."  I have read through the manuals that he got with the "phone, but cannot find any solution.  I also tried a hard and then soft reset but none worked.  Any ideas please.

You won't have to set up a new account, just reboot with a battery pull and your old email accounts should return.

Or you need to re-register the device on the service, see below.

Finally, you must type 'blackberry ', not 'Blackerry '. Note that this is ALL lowercase.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck on the home screen

The system seems to be stuck on the "Home Screen" (the screen with the background image). You can hold down the blackberry button and it will bring up a menu where I can read my email and make calls (the trackball works here), but I can't choose anything on the home screen or the great list of icons.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    Best!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck with "1 new message '; can't find it

    Hello.

I have my Blackberry 9650, an icon at the top of the phone advising me of a new message. (icon = envelope with a red star; a number 1 next to it)

My inbox settings consist of a "Desktop" e-mail account and a type of message "SMS".

When I click on the Blackberry icon, I have an icon marked ' (1) Messages ", an icon marked" Desktop (1) "and an icon marked"SMS ".

When I open Messages, Desktop, or SMS icon, yet there is no new messages.

I'm trying to get the Blackberry to recognize that there are no new messages.

I selected the most recent email and "marked all prior electronic open."

I also tried 'Balancing Now' and a reboot.

Any ideas? or a way to compel this phantom message?

Or a way to solve the logic to signal (n-1) of new messages?

    Thank you

Open your Messages folder.  Press the menu button, and then select the display folder.  Scroll if these folders to find the message of thugs.  You should be able to find it in one of these folders.  When you find it, delete it then.

If this isn't "appear in any of these files, do a battery pull.  With your phone, remove the battery and then replace it.

    I hope that helps you.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones stuck on the loading screen

Hoping someone can help me solve this problem.  When I turn on my Blackberry (Bold 9700), you get the screen where it shows the whitebar where the phone does... I get about 3/4 of the way through and it just stalls.  I tried to take out the battery for a few minutes and then put everything back with no luck... screen charge again that about 3/4 of the way.  Any idea why this might happen & how do I fix this?  Thank you!!!

If your BlackBerry is still under tension turned off with a black screen, follow the instructions below. The only indication of life may be the flashing red indicator light in the upper corner. Nothing seems to wake and Desktop Manager does not recognize that a device is connected.

    (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
    http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
    (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

    'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

    (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
    (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
    (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

Just select the appropriate type of carrier and network, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.
