Hello

In the event of a hardware or software problem on your computer, Windows collects information that describes the problem, called a problem report. Report details can include, for example, the name of a program that has stopped working, the date and time that a problem occurred, or the version of the program, which has encountered the problem. I suggest you to check the below link.

http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709644 (WS.10) .aspx

Yes, you can clean your system and remove the unwanted files using Disk Cleanup utility. Click on the link below.

  • Should I delete "by user pending windows error reporting" in disk cleanup?

Hi, I'm using Vista Home Premium and this is my question.

'by user windows error reporting pending"on my performances of more than 16.5 GB so disk cleanup I think delete. I checked the forums window says it's a bug and will mess up my data if I did. But the answers were pretty old (2007-beginning of 2009). My laptop is just upgraded to service pack 2. So I don't know whether or not this so-called bug has already been fixed. Should I delete it or just leave it there? Will it continue to grow if I don't do anything? I read some messages and some said that it has increased to more than 100 GB.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    1. you are using a third party software to clean your computer?

It could be caused by a registry cleaning program that has been authorized to remove or delete the part of these located registry entries to the:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches

    Step 1:

I suggest you to use the Windows Defragmenter software rather than a third party to fix.

    Step 2:

Please make sure that you run the tool, Disk Cleanup with administrator rights.

    Hello

When I present reports of error and asks me to send additional information, I get the above error. I have read and tried all the solutions already asked for this problem except for the removal of error reports (because if I do that, how could they be downloaded for analysis?)

Restarted with a clean Windows with only Microsoft services running and no boot entry and retried the upload.
A ran the SFC system without any problems.

  • How can I locate and remove malware from my Windows XP laptop?

Last week, my Windows XP laptop (at work) became infected with one or several programs of virus and malware (including a program of Netsky).

I ran my McAfee virus scan and removed the virus that we found.  When the Netsky pop-ups started to happen, I ran Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (mbam - setup.exe) by following the instructions in our IT Department.  When the Netsky guest continued, I have downloaded and run W32.Netsky FixTool of Symantec 1.13.0 who stopped the guests.

This morning, I met 'Update KB977165' failure in the startup problem.  From what I read this problem seems to be limited to "infected" computers  I just finished rerunning McAfee and Symantec Malwarebytes with no infections found.

My COMPUTER service feels that the mbam - setup.exe should have solved the problem.  Whenever I look at using malicious software removal on the internet, I get more ads for questionable software applications than anything.

Is there a detection and removal of malware simple tool that doesn't cost a fortune (as FREE)?

This morning, I met 'Update KB977165' failure in the startup problem.  From what I read this problem seems to be limited to "infected" computers

EDIT: A week later and it seems in fact that 99.9% of Windows XP users who encountered a BSOD after installing KB977165 see the effects of a W32/Alureon rootkit infection.

  • Only the administrator can read mp3 files. All users get "Windows cannot open this file".

I am running XP SP3... After that my children were on the internet all day, they have lost the ability to play mp3 files. When I went to ' Control Panel/folders/files Types... under MP3 - we say "Sound in MP3 format" with no program to open this type of file. "

However, when I signed up as a Director and went to 'File Types' he registered "Windows Media Player" as the program to open the file.

So I can play the MP3 files under administrator, but no one else can play an MP3 file.

    Any suggestions?

I recommend you to disable the auto reboot system error (this option prevents Windows to reboot automatically if a Windows error to fail) of the startup options safe mode to know the exact error message or error code originally this problem.
