There goes the memory

Seriously... what was both a relationship becomes a royal pain. I had the same rotation passes my e280 for about a year. After the removal of a series of tracks, I came to find that I needed a firmware update. So I have now version 01.02.24A.

I added a bunch of new songs (I remember I was at about 700 titles) and still had a lot of space on the left but ran short on time to add more. So I got my new tracks for a few days then today when I was on the shuffle, it seemed I kept going round and round with a handful of bands. I went to artists only to the come to conclude that a lot of tracks I'd previously on it are now mysteriously disappeared.

So now I try to put some new ones out there via Windows Media Player as well as after trying a simple drag and drop, but without success (USB MTP mode). What is more worrying is that which was both a 8 GB drive has somehow been reduced to 1936MB (whose 1906MB is free).

More on the aspect troubling is that owning an MP3 player must apparently be the arduous process.

So miserable right now!

Salty1 is KING! I ran the exe to .12a and am now back in business. By going to the info, the Player acknowledges the abilities of the player as well as the SD card.

Now, I have two questions:

1 should I go to the .12a .18A firmware I have? (I noticed that the .12a does not show the "custom" EQ that I really like.

And;

2. when I start to rebuild my drive with music, which method is better? (Via Windows Media Player or a Drag and drop?) Is my assumption correct because I'll use MSC mode to put the titles on the drive and the other mode (MTC?) to put titles on the SD card?

    Start in Safe Mode , and then repair your hard disk and permissions:

    Fix the hard disk and permissions before Lion

    Boot from your OS X install disk. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu. After that the charges of THE select your entry from hard drive (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left.  In the status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (subentries under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the installer.

    Repair the hard drive - Lion-Lion/mountain/Mavericks

    HD recovery start:

    Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the COMMAND and R until it appears the screen of Menu utilities. Otherwise, restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the OPTION key until the Boot Manager screen. Select recovery HD disk icon and click on the button below.

    When the recovery menu appears, select disk utility. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no error is not reported, then click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.

    Restart your computer normally and see if it helped at all. Then do little maintenance:

    For disk utility can't handle situations, the best third party is Disk Warriorutility;  Fixed DW only for problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by the corruption of directory; Warrior drive 4.x is now compatible with Intel Mac.

    Note: Alsoft ships DW on a bootable DVD that will boot Mac running Snow Leopard or earlier. He cannot start Mac that came with Lion or later preinstalled, however, DW will work on these models.

    Suggestions for OS X maintenance

    OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are supposed to take place on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Maintenance scripts that are run at the beginning AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep). If this isn't the case, then a great solution is to download and install a shareware like Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacronor Anacron utility that will automate the maintenance regardless of whether activity if the computer is off or asleep.  Dependence on third-party utilities to run periodic maintenance scripts has been significantly reduced since Tiger.  These utilities have little or no functionality with Snow Leopard or later version, and must not be installed.

    OS X automatically defrags files smaller than 20 MB in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files it little need to defragment the hard drive.

    Under no circumstances should you install operating MacPaw or ZeoBit software (CleanMyMac/CleanMyDrive or Mac Keeper, respectively.) You don't need special software to keep your computer.

    Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari

    Common pop - ups include a message saying that the Government has taken over your computer and you pay release (often called "Moneypak"), or a false message saying that your computer has been infected and you need to call a number of tech support (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it to be resolved. First of all, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and that your computer has not been assigned. This "hack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so don't pay not money, call number, or provide personal information. This article will give an overview of the solution to remove the pop-up window.

    Quit Safari

    Usually, these pop-ups will not go by clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel '. In addition, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in grey, including the option to leave Safari. You'll probably force quit Safari. To do this, press command + option + ESC, select Safari, press on force quit.

    Relaunch Safari

    If you restart Safari, the page will reopen. To avoid this, hold the "Shift" key when opening Safari. This will prevent windows since the last time that Safari was running since the reopening.

    It will not work in all cases. The SHIFT key must be maintained at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window is displayed again. In these circumstances, after force quit Safari, turn off Wi - Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then restart Safari normally. He'll try to reload the malicious Web page, but without a connection, it will not be able to. Leave this page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com and try to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet and the page that you entered is displayed rather than the malicious.

    Troubleshooting Applications

    I recommend that you download a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaneror hiding a Cocktail that you can use to delete the former newspapers and archives, cleaning, etc. Corrupted cache, logs or temporary files can slow down the application or OS X crashes and panics of the kernel.

    If you have leopard snow or leopard, then for similar repairs install Applejackfreeware utility.  If you do not start in OS X, you can boot into single-user mode , where you can run Applejack to make a set of routines for repair and maintenance of the command line.  Note that it takes 1.5 AppleJack for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later versions.

    Basic backup

    For some people, Time Machine will be more than enough. Time Machine is part of Mac OS X. There are two components:

    1. a panel of Time Machine preferences as part of the system of preferences;

    2. a request for Time Machine, located in the Applications folder. It's

    used to manage backups and restore backups. Time Machine

    requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the

    drive being backed up.

    You can also get an external drive at least equal to the size hard disk internal and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the disk utility's restore option. You can also create and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (the order is not significant):

    1 Carbon Copy clone

    2. get backup

    3 already seen

    4 superDuper!

    5. Synk Pro

    6. Tri-Backup

    Additional tips

    Make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run simultaneously. Make sure to leave a minimum of 10% of the capacity of the hard disk as free space.

    Add more RAM. If your computer less than 2 GB of RAM and you use OS X Leopard or later, then you can do it with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion works much better with 4 GB of RAM that is their system. Most concurrent applications, that you tend to use the more RAM you should have.

    Always have at least 15 GB, or 10% of the capacity of your hard disk as free space, the largest. OS X frequently accesses your hard disk, so offering enough free space will keep things slow down.

    This problem occurs often because of a corrupted cache or the preferences file or an attempt to write in a corrupted log file.

  • There is no option in the bios to enable the memory remapping? !

    There is no option in the bios to enable the remapping... my last windows 7 x 64 memory showed all my 4 GB of ram... but however I have clear now to install win7 x 64 or x 64 pro win8 it said usable 3.79 and info pc does not recognize my nVidia GPU (only graphics card intel HD recocnizes) while the nVidia control panel can recognize GPU and intel HD graphics together... my system is asus u36jc notebook... help is there Please...: |

    Hello

    Please contact Miceosoft answers.

    Memory remapping option is not available in the BIOS and we can't really. If you do not want to remap the memory, turn the computer off, remove the cover from the chassis and modules of memory Exchange (only if there is more than one).

    I assume you are using an Intel core i processor series, 2nd or 3rd generation. Usually when your pc doen't need many complex graphic treatment, the processor works as the graphics processor. In this case, when you check with Windows, it will show only currently work graphics processor - Intel HD graphics card. In addition, you can switch between graphics, to know what is the default value. In this way, if you select graph nVidia, Windows will display it info.

    I suggest to keep the setting of graphics as such for extended battery backup.

  • Dllhost.exe surrogate COM slow down the computer using the memory

    Hello

    I could really use some help if anyone has the time. :-)
    My computer behaves strangely since I made a restore point.
    I did the restore point because I could not get online, oddly enough it turned out to be a loose wire.
    Anyway, now there is an application that keeps popping up in my task manager using most of my cpu, so my

    He was in my folder windows32. It is not my services that I can see, but it seems to be bound to play
    video or music files. I could be wrong.
    I did the usual antivirus (avast free edition free antivirus and malwarbytes) analysis, I defragmented

    I did go to the task manager of windows, processes, sort them alphabetically by the description column, you can list by going to display and select column, and then down to the substitution of com and do a right-click and choose end process... you may need to do more than once... This will remove at least for awhile... it is mainly used to display thumbnail pictures in my photo folder... you can the delete permanently, but then you would not have miniature photos...

  • How the memory of airconditioning in InDesign.

    Hi all

    We develop an extension for Adobe InDesign and after several months of development, that we're still stuck with various things we do not find a solution for them. Extension exports a lot of images, texts, create new pages, basically, we export all content in a document as long as 300 to 400 pages in various goods, JPG and PNG formats. So really memory consumes

    When executing the extension, we have developed, the main thread is bloqued and the InDesign does not and if the export we do is really great it blocks just about InDesign. We would like to release memory after each page is complete, but we cannot do it. Once the full export is complete, then the memory is freed, but not when you export that happens

    We export the memory increases more and more without letting go of anything, we tried various options, but looks like we never come to free the memory that everything is blocked

    How can free us the memory while the extension is running? Or y at - it a way to stop the extension of each iteration, then it frees the memory?

    We use the extensions Manager and flash builder.

    Thank you!

    Caesar.

    Welcome,

    It really depends on your code Cero, but for example if you have a car or while loop that goes for hundreds of cycles, you can eliminate down to smaller portions and loop of blocking a thread during execution, that means each while/for loop is an application of single process no matter how large or intense it would be It must be done before this CPU core/thread accepts another request, but if you break to two cycles, thread will be released by the first query and taken over by the other (overlap cpu can decide what priorities and performs tasks of short, high priority before arriving to work on the second loop). again, this depends on your needs and your code, but for example to break a loop 100 time in 10 x 10, you can do:

    var arrayLength = 100;

    /*Before:*/
    for (var i = arrayLength - 1; i >= 0; i--) {
        exportThePage(i);
    };

    /*After:*/
    var breakPoint = 10;
    var neededCycles = arrayLength / breakPoint; //obviously you need to improve these aspects since it breaks if you have 103 cycles for example!
    var currentCycle = 0;
    function loopBreaker(){
        if(breakPoint < arrayLength && currentCycle <= neededCycles){
            currentCycle++;
            mainLoop(currentCycle);
        } else if (breakPoint >= arrayLength) {
            alert('no need for me! just call a simple loop!')
        } else {
            alert('Im done here!');
        }

    }
    function mainLoop(currentCycle){
        for (var i = breakPoint - 1; i >= 0; i--) {
            exportThePage((breakPoint * (currentCycle - 1)) + i);
            alert('just finished workin on page: '+(breakPoint * (currentCycle - 1)) + i);
        }
        loopBreaker();
    }

    Now, I didn't have the chance to test this in all (I may be able to test it tomorrow at the University) (Edit: not surprisingly, there was a small error I fixed), in addition it makes it harder to do such a thing in extendScript in absence of javascript of calendar events, but I guess it will work if the process of exporting your page is heavy enough to prevent this code through a chimney overflow error (in the case otherwise you need to increase the variable breakpoint, or use a short sleep period or you don't just it really), I also hope not to have an error of syntax here so please re - check yourself.

    On the use of GC it may (or may not) solve your problem of memory, but plus help certainly not all on your cpu load, it is preferable to reuse objects and not to destroy them every time.

    PS: Oh I forgot to say, but there's no need really to mention you want to modify and adapt on cause of code it will break easily if you have 103 pages for example, instead of 100, I just wanted to show one of the approaches I think

    hope this helps and gl.

  • Monitoring the memory usage on iOS using the Stats class

    I was check memory usage on an application I'm developing for iOS using Stats class https://github.com/mrdoob/Hi-ReS-Stats ( http://help.adobe.com/en_US/as3/mobile/WS4bebcd66a74275c3-315cd077124319488fd-7fff.html#WS 948100b6829bd5a61637f0a412623fd0543-8000).

    I added the class Stats to my project and redeployed and, Ouch, reported in Stats memory usage ramp upward (quite slowly) even when there is nothing going on in the application (just displaying a loaded bitmap).

    To try to find the question, I created a project with a test class that extends Sprite with just this single call in the constructor: -.

    addChild (New Stats());

    I have deployed to the device to check that he didn't swallow all of memory.

    But I was surprised to observe the use of the memory to crawl upward and upward (to 5) before kicking in some garbage and takes memory down. I left it running and then he slipped once again more than 7.5 this time before being deported back down to just below 3.

    So 2 questions that I would be grateful any feedback/comments/thoughts on related: -.

    1 is this normal (i.e. memory creeping up when there is nothing else than to the Stats in the project)?

    2 - What is the best way to monitor the memory usage in an application? Good enough stats - is Stats itself causing the memory usage?

    All the best guys!

    See also thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4280020#4280020)

    My conclusions are:-

    -If you run an application and let idle, use memory slips gradually upward (probably in memory is used to perform the Calc/refresh the display, etc.)

    -Periodic garbage collection occurs and memory is brought back down

    -This cycle could be more than 5 min.

    Work with your real application and memory will increase and be published much more quickly/regularly.

    -It's probably worth making an initial check running on your desktop computer to smooth out all the initial problems

    I have problems with my Mac doesn't turn is not on. He turns sometimes and sometimes does nothing for days. I've read a lot online, and it seems to be the memory of the origin of the problem.

    When it's on I went t disc utility and of course there are 499 GB 500 GB used. I started the trash everything. I got up to 310 GB of used memory, but when I click in disk utility there are two levels of "Macintosh". Level 1 - logical volume memory I think it was called is still at 499 but the second level which I believe was called simply logical memory is 300 GB.

    I live in Tasmania where there is no official Apple store and authorized service location is closed on weekends so I'm pretty stuck for a few weeks before I can get down to one.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    You seem to be talking about the space on your hard drive rather than 'memory '.

    Try to boot into recovery mode - if your OS is 10.7 or later - now pressed the command and R keys at startup. Choose utility disk, then run first aid on your startup disk. It is one that is indented to the right and is usually called Macintosh HD.

  • Can I increase the memory on my old Satellite Pro P100?

    I have a Satellite Pro P100 (P6PA4E-002001EN) with only 512 MB of memory and the desire to know if it can be increased and if so what memory should I buy and it is easy to open the machine and adapt?

    Hello

    You can increase the memory on this laptop amazing plu of 4 GB of RAM.

    RAM modules compatible that you can use to upgrade:
    PA3511U - 1 M 51 (Kit of memory 512 MB DDR2-667)
    PA3512U-1M1G (memory 1 GB DDR2-667 Kit)
    PA3513U-1M2G (memory 2 GB DDR2-667 Kit)

    Check the underside of your laptop and there should be probably set with a cover of Ram screw. Remove it and you will have access to the memory locations.

  • is it possible to change the memory?

    Hi - I got my iPhone screen changed 6 by a local store (reasons of budget) and no more, I'm very forgetful, but I'm sure I had a 128gig phone, but it says now 64 gig. I'm checking in the original place I bought it (it was a while there and I was undecided between the two, but for the life of me can't remember what version I bought) - but - is - a repair shop can exchange my memory? Of course, they will have to have cloned it too... maybe just being paranoid.

    No, the memory could not be "traded" on an iDevice.

  • Satellite M40x - where the memory?

    Hi all

    I want to improve my memory of 512 MB to 1.5 GB. I bought 1 G RAM and when I plugged in the screen become white and computer laptop does not work. RAM is fine. I have contact the technical service of the seller, and according to them I need to remove the old 512 MB of RAM and plugged it my 1 GB of RAM for my laptop recognize the new RAM.

    To do this, I opened my keboard and under what I can only find WLAN in the middle in the left there is another local network. and the far left, I see my DVD - ROM. On the right PC card and what is - this. I don't know where is the 512 MB RAM slot. It is there somewhere.

    Is there any expert who can tell me where to find 512 MB RAM slot?

    PS: I even call Toshiba support and they said sorry according to policy, we cannot tell you.
    If expert laymen captions please help me to solve this problem.

    Please

    I checked the manual of the Satellite M40x (it can be downloaded from the Toshiba site) and if you look at page 8-7 you can find a description of the memory upgrade.

    In my opinion the 512 MB that you already is a built-in RAM that can t be upgraded because the bottom of the laptop is on only one memory slot.

    However, I think that it is not a problem to use an additional RAM module, but maybe the new RAM is not compatible with your laptop.
    What type of memory you have bought exactly? Maybe you should try it with another.

    I hope I could help a bit.
