There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (0:521)

Although I found other discussions in this forum regarding this error - none of the fixes seem to work. I have not found exactly the same error number (0:521), I might need a different fix for this? Has anyone else had the same error?

Just to note, this seems to be a problem with Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 when displaying PDF files 'in the browser"which is using the plugin. Other versions of IE on other machines and FF on the same machine work very well on the same PDF files. It also works if you right-click on the pdf file, download and view it in Acrobat Reader 'locally '.

Any help greatly appreciated, I'm stumped.

'Open' Adobe Reader X

Go to "EDIT".

Open "Preferences" Ctrl + K

  • There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If its working out, then try again (6:6)

    Hello

When I try to view a PDF document from within a Web site, I get the above error message.

If I navigate to the folder location where the PDF file is stored and run it from there, it will open without any problems. If I go to other PC and try to run the same files on the same site, then they will be OK. It just seems to be this PC.

    Adobe Acrobat 9.1

    Internet explore 8

    Windows 7 (32 bit)

I think the problem is that someone tried to install Adobe Reader 10 on the same PC, and he failed and left something behind (I'm sure I read somewhere that Adobe Reader and Acrobat may not be on the same PC, because it causes problems).

I checked C:\Program Files\Adobe and deleted all references to the reader. Did the same thing in the registry. Could he have installed anything anywhere else? Is it possible to make sure that an installation has failed has been removed completely?

    Thank you

    Bruce

    Hi Bruce33,

You can use the Acrobat cleaning tool to remove Acrobat / Reade completely from the machine.

You can download the tool from: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

Also, make sure that you update Acrobat 9 for the latest patch that is 9.5.5 and check.

    Kind regards

  • Connection problems on Netflix in Media Center: "there was a problem of signing. Make sure your internet connection is working and try again. »

Original title: Netflix in windows media center, connection problems

I saw disorder connect to Netflix on windows media center. I am running windows vista x 64. When I select the icon of the login screen appears, but when I try to connect it comes up with the error message "there was a problem of signing. Make sure your internet connection is working and try again. "my internet connection is fine and I can connect to http://www.Netflix.com/, so this problem should make windows media center, but I can't understand it. I have updated windows and windows media center and I'm still having this problem. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The most likely explanation is NetFlix changed something in their routine of authentication (i.e. SOAP structure or just a URL string, whatever) and who broke the Vista NetFlix WMC client. It did not affect the web interface of NetFlix because operated a NetFlix service, they were obviously aware of the change pending and adjusted their web client to use the new method.

Customer WMC NetFlix in Windows 7 (which is a new product), was probably already coded to use the new method. The client in Vista has continued to work with the old method, until NetFlix finally stop this method. Microsoft, slow to react and to assign developers to fix the Vista NetFlix WMC client missed the deadline and Vista users have been in the dark for a while.

That's pretty standard for web services that cross corporate barriers. Particularly involving slow mega-body like Microsoft. A company change a routine and the other has to play catch-up. Communication is often difficult between the divisions within a company, between companies, it is often non-existent.

The level of prissy whining in this thread was good for a laugh however. Those threatening to cancel NetFlix: rolleyes: your access was still working on their Web site. You were not without service, just, without the convenience of WMC. People grumble at Microsoft... anyone know if Microsoft was still knowledgeable of * when * NetFlix was going to turn off the old authentication? If they were told the night before (or any) "Hey let's turn off the old authentication routine" what kind of response do you expect? How long is it since the problem began, 28 days? It's actually a pretty fast for an element relatively low priority. Or it could just be that NetFlix reactivated their old methods of authentication as a temporary solution to this problem (they share a part in creation) until Microsoft can respond formally with an update.

Now if Microsoft was duly informed advanced evolution of the service, still dragged feet (quite possible) I don't give them no slack. But at the end of the day, it is always a matter of low priority. It's fixed now, be happy until the next time that Netflix change their authentication routine.

  • This is a comment about a problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

I just uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  I opened a previously published pdf document in which I had highlighted text.  Highlight the text is unreadable in DC.  After you have uninstalled DC, I then reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader XI.  Even highlighted the text is readable.  It's a quirk in DC, I guess, but I don't not be reinstall DC anytime soon.

It is a known problem. Refer to the thread: Re: problem regarding the content previously highlighted when you view the file in Acrobat DC. to work around the problem.

I watched movies on Netflix via Media Center before and I've never had any problems. However, I did use the Netflix on Media Center app for a while. • Problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader XI on Windows 8

Acrobat Reader recently stopped working for me on my computer Windows 8 (I double click on PDF files to open, nothing happens).  So I uninstalled and tried to re - install the latest version (11.0 XI).  I use the installer as administrator (it is a home computer, I am the only user on the machine).  Installation stops with Error 1303 "Setup has sufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (X 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader.»  The installation cannot continue.  Log on as an administrator or contact your system administrator. »

If I open explore and try to access this folder, I see him there under the folder Player 11.0, but if I double-click on I can not open it, I get a "is not accessible.  Access denied error.  I checked the security settings on the folder on the drive 11.0, SYSTEM, administrators, users and TrustedInstaller all have full control.  When I go to advanced options and check "Replace entries of permissions of all children with entries permissions inheritable from this object" and click on apply, I get an error for \Reader folder (impossible to enumerate the objects in the container.  Access is denied").  I tried to delete the folder Adobe down, hoping that I could just start again with the re - install, but it does not.  Completely blocked.  Any ideas?

Thank you.  I think that the restart was the key.  Windows does not seem to recognize me as an administrator, but after the restart, he did, and I was able to complete the installation.

    Hey Joe,

It seems that the plugin from Adobe's PDF Viewer is not installed on your web browser. Please make sure that you enable Adobe PDF viewer browserplugin to configure to use the plug-in in Adobe PDF.

Once the PDF viewer plugin is installed, you will be able to view the PDF in web browser before saving it.

Let me know if you encounter a problem or have a question more.

  • Cannot run PDFs with Adobe Acrobat reader.

Sometimes when I try to download a PDF file I get a mssg: 'there is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/reader. If he is out running and try again. (6:6). "I cannot determine any file that is open or may be running. I have XP and my programs are listed as: Adobe Air, Adobe Flash Player ActiveX 11 (with no listed file size), Adobe Reader X (10 1.1) and Adobe Shockwave Player 11.6. What could be the problem?

Very often, problems with Adobe Reader can be cured by uninstalling and reinstalling.

Use Control Panel > add or remove programs.

    • Uninstall Adobe Reader X and Adobe Air (do not uninstall Flash Player Active X or Shockwave Player).
    • Double check to make sure that there are no other versions of Adobe Reader.  If there are, uninstall them.

Download Adobe Reader here http://get.adobe.com/reader/ --> don't forget to uncheck the box to install McAfee Security Scan Plus.

Restart the computer in a "clean boot" mode as follows:

Open the System Configuration utility (start > run > msconfig > OK)

    1. In the System Configuration utility dialog box, click the general tab, and then click Selective startup.
    2. Click to uncheck the Process SYSTEM. INI file check.
    3. Click to uncheck the process to WIN. INI file check.
    4. Click to clear the Load Startup items check box. Check The Load System Services and to use Original BOOT. INI are checked.
    5. Click the Services tab.
    6. Click to select the hide all Microsoft Services check box.
    7. Click disable all, and then click OK.
    8. When you are prompted, click restart to restart the computer.

Run the installer for Adobe Reader

    Restart the computer.

  • On windows how to create files pdx today. We must work with adobe acrobat reader.

On windows how to create files pdx today? It should work with Adobe acrobat reader.

I did some research and found you create with Acrobat Catalog, but can not find any sign of it in the installation of Adobe Acrobat 10. How can you get Adobe Catalog?

Is still used in pdx (does still work with Adobe Acrobat reader 10) or people simply use the advanced search for adobe reader 10 actorbat with which you can search the directory of pdf files. ?

This feature is in Acrobat Pro. Acrobat Suite also includes Acrobat Pro and other Adobe applications.

Acrobat Standard doesn't have a catalog.

  • Hi, so I'm having a problem with Adobe Acrobat 10

    Hello

So I'm having a problem with Adobe Acrobat 10. I backed up the files adobe acrobat and them stored on an external hard drive. When I move the external hard drive to a laptop I can open the acrobat files fine but when I try to open the files of the other laptop I get "Acrobat cannot open"file.pdf"because it is not a type of file supported or because the file has been damaged (for example. He was sent as an attachment to e-mail and has not been correctly decoded). To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document in Adobe PDF format.

Both computers are laptops Toshiba Portege and both computers have Adobe Acrobat Pro 10 installed. I can open the files very well from one, but cannot open the exact same files on the other. I find it very strange. Also, I can plug the external drive into my iMac and open the files well out there and other different Windows computers. It seems that the question is just happening on the computer a laptop. Any ideas for a fix? Thank you.

For specific laptop - consider making a "repair" (under Acrobat help).

If that does not then that it would consider uninstall--disable-reinstall-active.

    Still no go? Try:

Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat cleaning tool - Adobe Labs
