• Defective video on Mac Pro Intel card?, help!

  Hi all, my Mac Pro Intel crashed at recentpy. At the start, it appears that the SSD drive had failed completely. Since I replaced the drive however at startup, I now feared vertical lines.   Part of the video circuit is bad, I would say. If the external output was normal, I'd say you just a bad screen, but if the external output is bad, it means a bad video chip so just stop us trying to diagnose anything else.

• Windows 7: games online lag & defective live tv unstable/record live tv playback (due to changes in priorities/Planner win7?)

  Since installing Windows 7 ultimate, I have 2 problems (compared to XP or even Vista):

  (1) online gaming is lag; the other players seem to move like ghosts, somehow jerky and jerky, but my ping is completely normal (low) and fps are good, too.

  (2) direct TV experience is worse now:
  When I watch a dvb - t transmission and switch to another app that I have at the same time (like total Commander, instant messaging, Notepad, etc.) I hear audio clicks and get video abandonment. The same is true when I'm not watching a transmission, but when I save it. The recordings are defective (video and audio dropouts).

  However, existing good records can be read without any problem, even when you switch like crazy between all sorts of substantive programmes and lots of tabs in my web browser. With these good records I get no problem whatsoever (for example: files in windows XP). It is only when I try to record something in Windows 7 that I get these questions.

  I have used many different programs (from dvbviewer for progdvb for dvb dream to Windows Media Center). The problem is always the same.

  This did not happen in XP, however.
  Under XP, I can switch to background programs and switch between tabs in the opera 100 without being any 'clicks' or the number of drop-outs in audio/video on live television.

  The same is true for Vista, although it is slightly worse than with XP.

  In Windows 7, interactive use of programs seems to have a strong (and negative) impact on live TV.

  My system (not aware at all, but otherwise very good work, in XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Linux):

  -1 GB OF RAM
  -Geforce 3 TI 200:
  I know: not supported by Windows 7, BUT:
  -J' also have an ATI HD4650 here, which IS supported by Windows 7
  and who doesn't IS NOT IMPROVE anything!

  Since my Windows 7 installation is quite recent and not yet activated, I did not install a lot, especially any antivirus that could (maybe) deteriorate the performance of the system.

  Apart from live tv playback/record and games Windows 7 IS (!) quickly on my old system.

  In addition, take into account that the games I'm talking about are OLD, so my geforce3ti200 is quite enough for such an old game, like quake2 or quake1. - And as I said, I also have a HD4650 well supported by the ITA which does NOT improve lag problems in games!

  I tried to disable nagle algorithm (as suggested somewhere), I played with registry settings like 'systemresponsiveness '; I also disabled the multimedia class Scheduler - all these things you will find in these many threads any lag in windows 7!

  Does not really - or only partially:
  Deactivation of the multimedia class scheduler service help (a little) but at the price of having audio problems:
  When switching between the different programs of the audio player (e.g. windows media player or vlc) has now audio dropouts that wouldn't happen when the multimedia class Scheduler service is running.

  Therefore, this solution is not ideal.

  Since I also tried to use wifi instead of ethernet, external sound usb instead of edge, different servers etc, and since there is that interference between the task of switching and stability of live tv, I come to this conclusion:

  This must be a timer problem. Something in the Task Scheduler in windows 7 and/or priority system was changed, when comparing it to XP or Vista.

  I see that there are more settings in the registry, as in:

  [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\Tasks\Audio]

  Where it looks like:

  Card video NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT to my HP Pavilion m8400f Desktop computer has failed. replace the defective video card with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 video card.  Display is back, but now the computer is SUPER SLOW.  I can't get access to enough RAM to install the CD for the driver for the new card!  Tried Safe Mode - could not install the software driver on the CD.  Simple operations (such as opening Windows Explorer) is about 3 minutes.  The HP Startup Repair utility takes forever.  I want to run Norton Antivirus, but the computer is so SLOW that it takes an hour to see my desktop icons.  I put my old card back video; the graphics have been shredded as 'The Matrix' and startup performance was just as slow.  Any suggestions (in addition to buying a new computer)?  Can't the basic functions of Mode safe without the video card?

  (Sigh) Given that the CPU of the computer of my 6 year old works 100% (even with only a race application), I decided to cut my losses and buy a new HP Envy 700-327c desktop PC.  In the meantime, I do backups of files from my old PC to an external hard drive; What was once taking 10 minutes is literally take 10 DAYS because the CPU is running so SLOW.  Thanks for your help.

  Since the update of OS X El Capitan, has developed a weird problem on my version of first Pro CC red and yellowish stripes appear on a few videos, only when the break. When these same videos play, scratches disappear (I want to just point out that this has nothing to do with the area of rendering). This happens only with specific codecs like H264 or ProRes (but possibly not limited to these), on the screens of the source and the program, independently of the timeline.

  

  If I get a box with a defective video clip, scratches remain while the video is playing.

  I tried to clean the cache, changing its location, change the calendar settings, creating new time limits and all new projects... That did not help. And when I import the same defective video clips in FCP 7, they work very well.

  Then Ive met this weird problem with my mac. While I was using the Mac at work for like 4 hours without interruption and then when it was time to go home, I just put the screen down and put the Mac to sleep. When I opened the Mac at home, he started with 3 beeps and it wouldn't start.

  A bit of history, Apple had this quality control program where all 2011 Macbook pros affected by a defective video card can have their logic boards changed for free by taking it to apple. My macbook was one of them and apple genius guys changed the logic board. Long and behold, after six months the lower slot of Bank ram has stopped working. My question is, can I use the Apple since its only six months, and if I order a new Board of the logic on their part, what are the chances that this will not happen?

  A good fortuneteller adventure can answer this one!  FWIW, I had mine replaced guarantee also that extended repair program had expired for FREE3 or 4 years ago.  My MBP 2008 is till going strong.

  

• Scratches at the bottom of the screen

  There are scratches or clear spots at the bottom of my screen (mid-2014 MacBook Pro 2.8 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB HD, retina - all original, OS X 10.11.6 beta - 15G19a, Iris Pro 1536 MB Intel display set to 2880 x 1800).  I tried to capture in a screen shot and it didn't work.  I reset the PRAM/NVRAM nothing helps memory.  The brightness of the screen does not change it or changing the resolution.

  I can't say for sure if she was there before the latest update Beta.  But I just noticed the other day and now it is disturbing me.

  Is this something that needs to be addressed by Apple?

  I am suspicious of a defective video card or LCD.  It is more obvious when a white background, such as a browser or finder window is open.

  I just had the main Board replaced on my M4 due to a defective video (nvidia 6600 128meg GB) card.

  In any case, everything works fine now, except the accelerometer. No matter what Toshiba utility that uses this sensor is no longer working. I get an error message that says:
  "This computer does not an acceleration sensor. This program will not work correctly. »

  Is it possible that the technician forgot to plug in one of the many tiny connectors on the new motherboard?
  Nobody knows if the sensor chip / lies on the M4 motorway (images would be great).
  The repair shop said bring it in so they could focus on the issue, however repair center is very far and very inconvenient. I'd be more than happy to open my car and reconnect the sensor if it is as simple as that. I suspect that the sensor is built into the main Board, and the new main Board was delivered defective :(

  It seems that the technician did not have a calibration of the probe after changing the jury.
  Calibration tool is located on the tools and Diagnostics FDD.
  Reopen the case. Your service partner must do this calibration!

  Improved my diet to a 600w unit, uninstalled the edge, place the new graphics card (HD 5670) in the powers of the card upward but no picture!

  Some people have sugested that its because the card mother PCI Express is 1.0 and the card is 2.1 allthough they are lying be backward compatible, it works simply with this motherboard!

• HPE140F pc - game crash/screen black screen mode 'sleep' and more problems

  I recently bought an HP computer refurbished not even 2 weeks ago: HPE140F

  While playing world of Warcraft, the screen goes black and the screen goes into sleep mode.  There is also a strong buzz.

  In addition, the CPU fan makes a lot of noise.

  I contacted HP customer service and they couldn't help me.  They said to talk to a technician level 2, I would have to PAY for the service.

  This is completely ridiculous.  I want a solution or this pos is going back to the store.

  You can mark this resolved.  I was ready to pack the PC up, when I remembered I had bought a video card Geforce 9 Series several months ago and never installed in my old computer.  I took a chance and installed in the HP.  Voila!  The machine now runs like a dream.  No noise noisy fan and he's playing my favorite games in 3D spectacular I contacted HP support and they conceed that it was probably a defective video card (I checked on the WOW forums, several people have played the game fine with the GeForce GT 230 and had no problems).  I'll send it in an Exchange and will try on my old pc I always around.

  I will be in part with positive feedback, update of the card in the HP was extremely easy, indeed with the opening of the case the entire seemed well organized and easily extensible.  I plan to get a power of 500W Rocketfish and Im happy that it will be an easy installation.

  I recently bought a satellite c870d (uk) and the last week or so from time to time, usually when browsing the internet or do I change the window I look (for example flicking of internet explorer on the desktop) the computer to crash and bring up the blue screen of death saying your computer has encountered a problem and it says system service exception.

  It could be a software compatibility issue or just one of the hardware components (RAM, motherboard) could be faulty.

  I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite M30 - 853 during nearly four years. A few days already, I'm having a problem that they come from the white lines vertical or black spots or screen is smear when I am trying to move a window from time to time. My wireless adapter is in use.

  I had artifacts displayed on my computer laptop B480 model 20140 when I tested Aliens vs Predator D3D11 Benchmark while the other laptop with the same model and type (or any other laptop with geforce 610 M) does not artifact using the same clock, while I need to downclock the clock of the video memory of its normal (900 mhz) clock to 800 mhz in order for the artficat to disappear. A new installation of windows/program/driver doesn't fix it, is clearly a material defect.

  A few days ago, I asked the store where I bought the laptop to contact the Service Center because my phone calls never is picked up.

  And Friday the the person in the store was furius because his phone calls be taken up also, so he went to visit the SC and ask directly, it seems that my laptop (and a Lenovo desktop computer he put there too) already finished but that SC provide never any information on this subject, and their phone call is difficult to achieve It has become very annoying for clients because this SC never give an estimated time required to fix and only said "we will inform you when it's done" which apparently customers inquire as promised and customers able to contact by phone or by any other means is (other than to visit this SC)

  From this experience I surely don't want to go to a SC that offer this kind of service because it can be frustrating asked to wait "indefinitely" and does not notify when it's done and impossible to contact the SC also-_ -.
