These last questions w/eBay font size. Fonts page summary now too small to read.

eBay policies is always displayed correctly using IE. BUT little by little, eBay police changed the size of font within a given page of eBay. 'My eBay' a 10 drop-down selections. These 5 are OK: offers/offers, Watch List, purchase history, my Collections, Messages. These 5 police being so small almost invisible: summary, wish list, all the lists, sales, followed by research. If all goes well, a fellow eBayer is to see these changes too.

I'm guessing that eBay programmers have been tweaking Internet Explorer to correctly display the fonts on all pages, as Internet Explorer has had its own problems of font size of eBay in the past. But now using Internet Explorer looks good! However, at the same time, Firefox has really gone South. My guess is the tweaking of the IE has destroyed now possibility of FireFox to display the font correctly sizes in eBay. Ask me questions if you see what I see. I can send some screenshots. Thank you, Tom Smiley

Two other thoughts:

(1) Firefox allows you to select a font size minimum for all pages. It can destroy a large number of provisions, so usually it not very useful, but if the fonts are unreasonably tiny, you can try it.

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content > button "Advanced".

The top of the page, set "fonts for: Western ' and then about halfway to the bottom of the dialog box, change the Minimum font size to 9.

At the top, the value ' fonts for other languages: ' and repeat the process. And then click OK.

Which enlarges the tiny fonts?

(2) there are scaling of the problems with the new screens of more-than-the-full-HD, especially when the site uses the Flash plugin. If you have such a screen, you may lodge a complaint with the site, so they can update their Flash media.

  • Size of text/fonts on incoming Emails too small to read (just on Hotmail accounts)

    This occurs only with accounts hotmail from any other site, it appears normal size fonts.

    Hi silveriomoniz,

    You can try using the Zoom. This will decrease the size of everything on the page. You can try to hit CTRL and + a few times to try it. CTRL and 0 it will return to normal size.

    However, given that this only happens on Hotmail, you may to watch the Hotmail help documentation to see if they have a function to increase the size of the font. I know that this is possible in Gmail.

    Hope this helps!

  • Font too small to read AOL mailbox

    Have a new Dell, monitor 24 "with Windows 7 Professional.  Downloaded AOL 9.5.  Works fine except that the police of the mailbox is too small to read - not the message content but the list messages.  Windows 7 allows to enlarge the fonts to 150%, to enlarge the icons of Medium and Large - no effect on the AOL mailbox.  Keyboard shortcuts that work in Internet Explorer - Win / + or Ctrl-mouse wheel - have no effect in AOL.  Don't like magnifying glass.  Show messages on AOL.COM AOL in IE does not meet my needs.  Is there anything else I can do?

    Hi GAHiker,

    You can follow the steps below and see if you can change the size of fonts in AOL.

    (3) under-F, click fonts and text
    (4) there you can choose a font style, size, color, bold or normal, italic, etc..

    It will show you a sample of what you have chosen. Once you have it you like just hit the Save button.

  • My text and fonts and the screen on AOL 9.6 is too small to read, I can fix it?

    I upgraded to AOL 9.6 and done a lot of cleanup work on my computer and when I signed to AOL 9.6 screen had shrunk, the text and icons had shrunken, far too small for an older person.  I know I deleted something I shouldn't.  I tried to use system restore and it does not work.  I can go to different places and make it large enough to read, but there are not left like that after I left and open the next time.

    the screen has shrunk, the text and icons have shrunk

    "Screen" do you mean window?  For example pressing F11 does change the part of your symptom?  If the text and icons it had shrunk could say that your IE magnification settings, then change your magnification affecting, for example, press Ctrl-0 and set it to normal or press Ctrl - + to zoom in even more.  BTW, none of these changes necessarily persist.  Usually change the size or your normal mode window, and then close in fact persist but some sites when running under windows (for example instead of tabs), try changing the size and position through scripting.  I am unaware of any ability to script to change the zoom setting, but judging by the problems people had with Hotmail, especially Google Chrome users, I guess it must be possible also.

    How to change the font size in Windows Vista

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or, if all is smaller, not only the font size:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution
    Change the screen resolution
    Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
    For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is higher. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. If you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.
    Text and images are sharper and smaller at high screen resolutions
    Text is larger and easier to read at low screen resolutions, but images are rasterized and number of items adapted to the screen
    1. Open display settings by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click appearance and personalization, clickingPersonalization, and clickingDisplay parameters.
    2. Under resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, then clickApply.
    Notes
    • When you change the screen resolution, it affects all users who log on the computer.
    • When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it will not support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor returns to the original resolution
    Three of the four days there all fonts in any related windows, including Microsoft Office program has become so tiny as to be unreadable. I use Google and Firefox, but it seems not exclusive online. Searching through all the Q and R, but could not find resolution. What could have happened and how can I fix.   Really need help ASAP
    In the Office programs or Web sites, you can hold down Ctrl on your keyboard while rolling the scroll of your mouse wheel to change the change.
    Try to open an Office program or the Web site, click on the inside, then hold down the Ctrl key while scrolling to see if that helps.
    Hello
    I was wondering if anyone can help as soon as possible!
    When I go to internet pages, the font is really big and you can't read it. There are often missing links, photos etc. on the Web pages and the pages are all white, although there should be color.
    I was wondering if anyone knows of any way I can solve this problem as soon as possible?
    Thanks in advance! :)
    You use Internet Explorer? Try to reset the default settings.
    The text may be too zoomed. Hold down the CTRL key and scroll the mousewheel to change the zoom level.
    If this does not work, I'll try another browser such as Firefox.
  • Use the screen 40 ": recent update has made the contents of the toolbar too small to read. How can I adjust size of point tool bar?
    Currently uses version 3.6.13, and for about 2 updates ago, content in my toolbar has been reduced in size so that it is very difficult to believe at a distance of 6 feet. Previously, he was much bigger and easier to see.
    I fiddled with the settings under Tools > Options > content menu, but nothing is working. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    Increase the chain pref layout.css.devPixelsPerPx from 1.0 to 2.0 in 0.1 steps to discover what works best.
    In current versions of Firefox this pref is a string parsed in float value and allows you to adjust the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) more precisely.
