• Debian 5.0 host and Client, network problems

  I have a system Debian 5 (Lenny) as a host for VMware Server 2.0.1 with a configuration ethernet servile (bond0 with Robin balancing).

  This host is the ping requests etc. without problem by any computer in the network and vice versa. This host gets its IP address of a DHCP server and appears very well.

  On this host, I run a virtual client, also Debian 5 (Lenny), with an ethernet in Bridge mode connection.

  This host gets its IP from DHCP Windows without problem and is also listed correct

  The host can ping the client without problems. The client cannot ping the host: ping packets 1 in 10 get through.

  Same story for ping any other computer on the network and vice versa (ping the virtual client from any computer).

  A very small amount of packets through. Can someone help me?

  Would it because I listed the OS as Debian 4 like Debian 5 was not available in the drop-down list?

  It is a line that wraps a LOT in the newspaper for vmware: cannot find Debian conversion type: vim.vm.GuestOsDescriptor.GuestOsIdentifier

  I do not think because if the problem is related to the link it is not related to the prompt (you can install a Windows client for example who is facing the same problems then).

  2. Have you tried plugging in Nokia mobile on another computer?

  I have a issue to solve with some new thin client (Devon IT TC2B)and I really need some help 
  
  When I use the view client from any PC or from my Mac, everything works perfect!
  
  But I a use my new Thin Client with the View Client embedded I have the following error:

  I see 2 possibilities:
  -A network issue affecting the Thin Clients.  Settings DNS, Firewall, etc.
  -The Client of the view needs to be refreshed on Thin Clients.

  2. What type of internet connection do you use?

  Renew the DHCP client lease

  The IP address of this computer is the same IP address used by another computer on the network. No user action is required. The DHCP client will attempt to get a new IP address from the DHCP server.

  To perform these procedures, you must be a member of theAdministrators group, or must you have been delegated the appropriate authority.

  If you do not want to wait the customer make its automatic renewal attempt, you can manually release and renew the IP address of the client as follows:

  1. on the active DHCP client computer, clickStart, in Search typecmdand press ENTER.

  2 typeipconfig/release, and then press ENTER.

  3. typeipconfig / renew, and then press ENTER.

  Check

  To verify that the conflicts have been resolved:

  1. on the active DHCP client computer, clickStart, in Search typecmdand press ENTER.

  2. to verify a DHCP client lease, typeipconfig/all to view lease-status information.

  I'm really stuck with the configuration of ipsec site to site vpn (hub to spoke, multiple rays) with cisco vpn remote client access to this vpn.

  The problem is with remote access - cisco vpn client access - I can communicate with hub lan - but I need also communication of all lans speaks of the cisco vpn client.

  How the DLINK has been configured for traffic between the site to site VPN subnets? You are able to add multiple remote subnets on DLINK? If you can, then you must add the pool of Client VPN subnet.

  I was able to get with 3DES and CISCO VPN Client 3.6.1 1710. with permission of local aaa.

  When I am connected to the VPN I can ping to the IP address of the VPN router

  (24.x.x.x.) and I can ping to the router's internal interface (192.168.x.x).

  The problem is that I can't ping anything else - for example: hosts in the enterprise network (192.168.x.x).

  Configuration:

  The router's internal IP address: 192.168.x.x

  The router's external IP address: 24.x.x.x

  ippool for customers: 10.10.10.x

  The IP address of the Client after the connection is correct: 10.0.0.x (from pool)

  Maybe I'm missing something in 1710 confg? I have NAT interface internal? The default gateway of the net is FreeBSD, not the router of 1710 system.

  All ideas are welcome.

  Quite often, you will lose the first ping because an ARP must be sent and responded to, but if you get the subsequent pings, then it's OK.

  For what is able to browse the Internet while the tunnel is up, you must enable split tunneling. Add the following:

  > access-list 110 permit ip 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255

  > isakmp crypto client configuration group my_usergroup

  > acl 110

  This means that the client will only encrypt the traffic to the 192.168.1.0 network, all other traffic shuts down in the clear on the Internet.

  I'm having a problem CEP configuration for my secure mobilty client.  I created a connection profile to allow the certificate requests, but when I fill in the url-forwarding-CEP I get an error.

  The certification authority we use is an internal MS CA with PEIE already active.  It has been configured for a long time with our current Cisco VPN client using authentication certificate.  The ASA is running 8.4.1.

  Here is the error I get when I try to enter the command in the associated group policy to my registration certificate connection profile:

  Hi Ian,

  in case you are still having problems with this (I think the question is one week): it seems that the ASA asking you first create a trustpoint (in your case in fact 3 can be required, one for each CA certificate) and import is the CA cert.

• I need some help please (web Vsphere client connection problem with Vcenter)

  Dear professionals

  I can not connect to the server via the customer web vicenter.

  I have installed and configured the following successfully:

  -esxi5.5

  -Win 2008 server1 (installed on AD)

  -Server2 Win 2008 joined to the domain, then I installed on: sso, inventory, customer web Vsphere and vcenter server service

  as you can see in the attached photos, when I double click on the client vsphere of wen I should be able to log on to the server vcenter, but I couldn't do it.

  do not forget that I logged Win 2008 server2 as a domain administrator, then I installed sso, inventory, customer web Vsphere and vcenter server service

  the WebClient service is runningand I tried https://server.example.com:9443 / vsphere client.

  There are more than two things, I noticed:

  -When I turned the web customer service I got the certificate error (see photo).

  -When I typed nslookup in the domain controller I got the error message.  web vsphere client error is related to the DNS error in the domain controller?

  Please register these two servers to the DNS entry field. and make sure both servers firewall set OFF mode.  If the production environment please check the network connection by using the network firewall team.

• P6 Professional client connection problem.

  I installed the P6 EPPM 8.3.

  I connect to client tool professional p6 with the user admin/Oracle $123.

  When connecting its showing error like could not link the GPO LDAP: / /:-2147483648 (8007203 A. )

  I double-checked the administration p6-> mode of authentication for LDAP and its native display only data bases.

  I can able to connect to the p6 but p6 client application not able to login with the admin user.

  Please help me to solve this problem as soon as POSSIBLE.

  Hi Kumar,

  I was facing the same problem, it seems to be catching the question. You must remove the capture of ADMIN_CONFIG database table. I used Sqldeveloper connect to the DB using the admconfig user, take backup of the ADMIN_CONFIG table so if you find that remove it all lines with config_name LDAP. Then try to connect through client.

  This trick works for me. I am now able to connect to the business customer of P6 EPPM.

  For Clone option available, you must have installed vCenter. You can't clone by connecting it directly to the ESX host.

• Very weird client connection problem: customer TAF can only access in standby mode

  I have created service and trigger on the principal database and the service started.
  
  However if I test it on my workstation, I can not open into the fermenter at all with the ora-12514 error.

  Hello;

  I would check the client side first. I think you probably have a problem minor tnsnames.

  If the listener is not running, you can't get a TNS-12514 - means that you get a listener is running, but it's good?

  Troubleshooting - ORA-12514

  1. Enter the command-line command "lsnrctl status".

  2. check the host for which the listener is listening if it is not correct, the difficulty of the LISTENER. ORA

  3. check (on this host) port on which the listener is listening if it is not correct, the difficulty of the LISTENER. ORA

  4. check if the listener knows of this service

  Client side in the TNSNAMES file. ORA

  1 make sure that the points of entry to the correct host ADDRESS (verification of strike fault).

  2. check the ADDRESS of the entry points to the right port (PORT = 1521) (this would cause this error)

  3. check the ADDRESS of the entry points to a known service (once again a small typo will really hurt)

  If it still does not work, check the SQLNET. ORA make sure that domaine_par_defaut is not incorrect (it is a long shot)

  I guess your trigger start service, begins in the affirmative and lsnrctl shows, to Client-side. Sleep works if the triggers will fire OK it. Recheck the service name vs say what tnsnames. Try to manually start the service outside the trigger and if it still doesn't work its probably isn't the trigger.

  Any chance one of the entries is missing in the tnsnames file? Or has a hidden piece of white space around it for the primary is broken but the work of sleep?

  I want help to connect Excel to Oracle.
  I use Excel 2007 (32-bit) on Windows Vista Enterprise 64-bit. I want to connect to a database 10g to Oracle through our local network using ODBC. I need to retrieve data once in an excel sheet.
  There is no firewall or connection between my current computer problems, problems as I can connect to my machine, using SQL developer as a local client to the Oracle database that is located on another machine on the network.
  I tried to make an ODBC connection, but Oracle is not listed as a driver.
  In my view, what ODBC is the best way to do it, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
  
  It is an Oracle 10 G database.
  I downloaded instantclient-basiclite - 64 - 11.2.0.2.0.zip a windows.x
  I also downloaded the additional ODBC components: * Instant Client Package - ODBC: extra to allow ODBC applications libraries.
  
  I unzipped in a folder called C:\instantclient_11_2
  The system path include one. I checked after reboot.
  I placed my tnsnames.ora (that I copied from the server) in this folder.
  I got it from the server: D:\Oracle\Ora10gR2DB\network\admin\tnsnames.ora
  
  I ran the exe "odbc_install" and he told me that the ODBC has been successfully intalled.
  
  When I went to the Control Panel, administrative tools, ODBC

  You should probably remove current ic packages and get the 32-bit instead.

  It's annoying - I need to reboort my router every day to get an internet connection?   Well, you are on a cable or DSL connection? I don't know that I'll just move forward and try to determine some tips for your router settings:

  1. you use E3200 which is a double router broadband. So I think you'll find these settings:

  Your iPad will only see the 2.4 GHz so that they connect to. If your laptop can see the two strips, they connect to any broadcast signal is the strongest. If you are interested in reading about the difference between 2.4 and 5 GHz, you can read it here.

  You have the stateful firewall "always you" checked. This is a version of the Zonealarm firewall Runtime based on the host. It's 'on' even when you're not connected via VPN client. Great security.
