  I just got my Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 and downloaded single tap. It does not work when I touch the screen with my fingers. I did some research online and realized that some computers do not have a touch screen. does anyone know if my computer has a touch screen and if so how to solve the simpletap so I was touch my screen with my fingers and make work?   I believe that the portable only in several Lenovo product lines that have multi touch (pen + finger) screens are Tablet PCs, like the X230T and some of the IdeaPads.   Online anytime upgrade was probably improved in Windows 8, so you will not be able to download Windows 7 now. However, you can use the upgrade button during the upgrade using the Windows 7 disc.

  To use the system with "Default values of the optimized operating system", you have reinstall the Windows 8 operating system after allowing optimized OS default "values. If you change the format of disk partition HARD operating system will not work.

  My T60p 4 years needs an upgrade.  I plan a (Lenovo preload) Vista Business upgrade to Windows 7 Professional (upgrade multimedia).  Since my HD is rather small (80 GB) and getting noisy, I intend to replace it with a 120 GB SSD intel.

  What is the best way to tackle the upgrade?  I guess I could clone the current HD to the SSD then clean install from upgrade disc.  Is there a way to install the SSD disk without involving the current player / OS from the win7 upgrade media?  I intend to reinstall applications once the operating system is installed.

  Also, don't I have to worry about any special partitioning for the T60p?  I haven't yet decided how much of the thinkpad applications I'll install.  I use windows to manage bluetooth and wireless instead of thinkpad apps.  I use the fingerprint through apps thinkpad reader.
