    Thank you!

Parts for Portege R830 should be compatible with the R835 too.
Usually, it's the same series but released in another region.

The screen seems to be compatible with the Portege R705 and R830, R835 series.
This is why it should be compatible with your model too.

  • Storage of ThinkPad Twist

    Hello!

This will be like a silly question, but I can't answer on my own, so I thought I would ask here.

My company has just purchased a Lenovo's ThinkPad Twist for me (I'm a big fan of Lenovo). I'm just trying to give a sense specifications for storage. In my local disk system details, he said I have a 456 GB HDD (which I understand to be the hard drive), but on the fact sheet on the product, it says 128 GB SSD (that I understand to be a solid state drive). I think it means that I have both, in other words, I have storage hybrid, right? And if I don't have a hybrid storage, is it correct to assume that the solid state drive is used to store my files on the system and it is inaccessible as usable for me storage space, right? I noticed that the speed at which the system starts and I know that it is an advantage of SSDS. I like that!

I learn only recently on the SSDS and I am eager to learn more. I would appreciate any information anyone! Thank you!

The most common for a twist storage options are either:

    (1) HARD drive coupled with a small mSATA SSD storage (about 24 GB) hybrid. In this configuration, the SSD is used only as a caching drive. Transparent caching disk data caches to speed up startup and operating system and is generally not accessible to the user. If you have a caching drive, it is usually as a disk 1 tab of the Task Manager performance and disk 0 is normally the main drive.

    (2) SSD without disk caching. More full-size SSD being faster than the getting started disc cache which is included on these models, there is no point in adding in an mSATA cached disk.

Your business could have gone with configuration, either a custom when ordering the machine configuration. You can watch the PO to determine how your company has decided to set up the machine.

  • Using the keyboard full screen

We develop a game and we want to take full advantage of the features of Flash Player 9 fullscreen. However, on the Adobe website it clearly states that the keyboard access is denied for security reasons.

I need this for the game runs properly of course, I was wondering if there is a hack or anything that revolves around it - the game will be probably an application of office first, but will also be in line.

A good example (if its OK?) access keyboard while Flash is in full screen mode, this is the Mozilla Piclens plugin - if they can do it, there must be a way! I don't know if it is an application or a Flash, but it seems that Flash POPs how 'press ESC to exit... ". "even upward.

If not, anything in the relative near future who will solve this annoying problem / security to the height?

    Thanks in advance,
    Gringos.

You can not do so and there is no work around. (and very funny twisted!)

  • Pavilion: Pavilion x 360 problems of keyboard and screen

    I'm the unhappy owner of a x 360 Pavilion, prod. lol M9G20EA #UUW.

    Big questions:

    1. About half of the time the screen is upside down when I opened the PC. Sometimes closing and by reopening bypasses the screen. Sometimes a reboot is required.
    2. The hardware keyboard and the touchpad randomly is disabled. A full restart is necessary for reactivation.

The machine is working. The service company argues that were without material errors, and restored the operating system to windows 8 - who has not solved the problems.

I see in this forum a lot has similar problems with this model. I've tried every suggestion I could find here. Onfortunately it did not help.

Just for the follow-up of this: HP transferred my "case" in Danish support, who contacted me by phone and loved very much for help me.
I send a few drivers for display, chipset and touchpad, with instructions to install them in a specific order.
Unfortunately, it has not solved the problem.
I was then absent for various during some time and when I went back to using the machine again, there was an update of display driver of app HP Support Assistant unfortunately the autoinstall has failed, but I managed to find the same product on the HP website driver download and install manually from there. I also found a newer version of the chipset driver, which I also installed.
Installation of the required drivers, a lot of tinkering, including the assistance of a third party (provided by HP) to completely remove the old display driver, several restarts in safe mode, etc.
At the time of writing these I have had no problems on keyboard for a while - hoping he disappeared completely. The problem with the screen being upside is still there, but to a much lesser degree. In addition, the orientation sensor seems more sensitive, while just shaking the screen backwards a little wil if he turns in the correct position.
If this will continue to be the situation, I can live with that.
But still: (almost) all that work to make a product works as advertised should not be necessary. It should work out of the box or at least with a quick access, automated driver update.
When I saw a great add to the airport the other day, promising that HP will "continue to reinvent", I couldn't help wishing that they would take a break, in order to ensure that they have already invented is currently working as expected ;-)

  • Skype on Windows 10 Tablet - keyboard on screen problem

    Hello

I want to emphasize, that Skype on Windows 10 tablet in the current state is unfortunately completely useless. As a modern version of Skype has been depreciated in favor of the version of office (http://blogs.skype.com/2015/06/11/a-more-efficient-skype-experience-for-your-pc/), desktop version is the only way to go. However, it seems that nobody has tested this version on Windows 10 Tablet, because apparently nobody has seen, because of differences in behavior of the screen keyboard, message textbox, as well as the latest messages are covered by this keyboard.

Change in behavior of keyboard (moored at dock/no) has no effect.

Please fix this as soon as possible, because in the current state, the use of Skype on Tablet is basically not possible.

See the attachment for more details.
    Thank you very much!

OK, now the 7.10.0.101 version is the first step... the chat window goes up when typing... but not always, when magnified the tray it does not, try / tap it several times.

  • ThinkPad with transflexive, outdoor screens

    Hello

I want to replace my R51 with something a bit faster and lighter (T400, T61, X...).
One of the most important features for me on the R51 is transflexive screen.
The screen is readable in full sun with minimal background light.

What current Thinkpad has one of these screens? According to the HP that
    function disappeared from all Thinkpads?

Note: I'm not a very bright screen which eats the battery and always fails if
the Sun is too strong, I want a transflexive screen that everything just works.

    Thank you

What you are referring is commonly called a FlexView LCD, or IPS. The ThinkPad only available currently is X 61 Tablet.

The last full-size machines offered with these were T60 and T60p, in 4:3 format of 15 ". Resolution on T60 is always SXGA + (1400 x 1050), while the first units T60p had 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) and the last ever made SXGA +.

Some of these machines left the factory with Core 2 Duo CPU, but even those who do not can be upgraded to it. While you can install 4 GB of RAM in a T60/p, the chipset will be able to address 3 GB, regardless of the OS.

    I hope this helps.

  • Impossible to win 8 pro on thinkpad twist

I just bought a twist thinkpad with windows 8 and windows 8 pro pack bought separately. However installation pro gets 15% and fails. Same problem with lenovo yoga 11-13 the yoga people. Microsoft technical support has not been able to reach a soluion. Someone here similar question? All solutions?

I got it to install with the help of MS supports. Here are the steps:

  • Problems with the Thinkpad E560 keyboard/keypad and mouse mats

I bought my Thinkpad around time of December-January, and since there has been some recurring problems.

On the one hand, with the keyboard, sometimes some of the keys stick: say I'm going to hold the S key and then release, sometimes it keeps acting as if he is still in detention. In addition, the entire keypad has stopped working; at this time last week, it worked perfectly fine, I used to use the calculator, lock the buttons on the internet Explorer and file at the top of the key all the time, but one day they just stopped working. The numbers themselves, as well as the NumLock key and others, also do not work. I tried to reboot, perform analysis, installation of the drivers and all sorts, but without success.

Finally, with the mouse pad, sometimes sections of it will stop working. As I type this, I can use the right side of my mousepad to move the mouse, but the left side does not work. Sometimes it will change, with the center of the mouse pad does not, while the very right and left mouse do. Usually reinstalling a driver or reboot the computer solves this problem, but it keeps happening and is very frustrating.

This laptop is a few months old only, I'm not too happy with the problems that keep popping up, and I hope that someone can be useful!

    Thank you

My mistake! I had completely missed the BIOS update, I installed and fixed this problem. I found it here, if anyone else has similar problems

  • Is it safe to leave the cover of the keyboard between the keyboard and screen retina when I close the macbook?

Hi, I have a macbook pro 15 "retina.

I got the cover of the keyboard (not cheap but decent), and I use it everytime I open my macbook.

However, I heard that it would be dangerous to leave the keypad cover when you close the macbook. Because it could hurt the sensitive retina screen.

    Is this true?

Is it safe to leave the cover on my keyboard when I close the macbook? It's a little annoying move coverage of my keyboard everytime I have my macbook to opening / closing.

If it's dangerous, is there a cover keyboard without danger to the retina on the market?

    Thanks for the help!

I have used Moshi Clearguard kb current covers on two MacBook Pro, including retina mid-2014, I usually use closed with my Apple display 27 ". I put KB covers on as soon as I bought computers and have never deleted without fingers never touched my keys. I did it because I saw how dirty the kbs in the Apple Store, and the seller told me that once the black keys are oily, it is impossible to clean completely. I started with a silicone rubber cap. Three weeks later, I threw it in disgust and I bought a Moshi to replace.

Moshi rugs are much thinner and lighter than the silicone rubber ones more adapted, hold their shape better, stay clear longer and are much easier to clean and type through. In addition to the one on my computer Ko, I keep one on the external Apple wireless keyboard which is always exposed on my desk. These caches really keep particulate crud, and they do not interfere with my typing at all. When they are dirty, I rub it in the sink with a detergent and a brush to vegetables, and when possible discoloration becomes noticeable after three or four years, I replace it with new ones.

My previous MBP, a Core 2 Duo late 2008 unibody model, allows to get much hotter than my current on occasion, and I fear sometimes that heat buildup between the lowercase and the display closed would cook the KB cover or even the screen itself. But that never happened, but I guess it might have helped if any yellowing of the coverage.

If use you Moshi hiding for seven years, I would never consider a time using a silicone back cover. I did not, and you shouldn't worry about all to close your view on a Moshi.

  • THINKPAD TABLET 2 AUTO SCREEN DIM QUERY (AMBIENT SENSOR)

Hi all I bought my brand new model of Tablet Thinkpad 2 64Gb 3G yesterday and I love it. But I have a question on how to disable the automatic brightness adjustment.

The unit fades constantly according to the use and it is quite annoying. Anyone know how to disable this feature?

All you have to do is to slide open the right side of the screen to reveal the option, then choose the parameter, then after this choose the settings of PC and then go to the generals and search for brightness Auto option and turn off the power

  • ThinkPad Twist WWAN antenna?

I'm sure that many people will ask that, so I think that we need a clear answer from Lenovo.

For those who have not ordered a WWAN card in their original config is the WWAN antenna pre-installed on the screen or not?

My model came with the SSD, so the location where it is usually an mSATA cache is empty and there is the possibility to install the WWAN card. I took the keyboard and can see the empty slot, but there are no cables to the WWAN antenna only those for the WLAN that are already connected to the wireless network card.

So the question is: is the antenna WWAN missing or hidden on the screen?

    @ciuvak...

I can understand the configuration of my X 220.

MPCIe slot which would be installed the WWAN card is empty, and as you describe in your turn, there is no only antenna cables in the region. My machine has been configured and sold as no WWAN-extensible, to my knowledge, which means no antennas. Configured and sold as WWAN-stretch models have wires installed and went into the appropriate area near the slot (not hidden in the screen), so that all that is needed is a WWAN FRU approved card.

I would say, that if you do not see the son, they have not been installed.

    I'm sorry.

Edit: You would like to take a look at the Manual of Maintenance of equipment. Pages 63-65 installing the card and pages 86-88 the antenna if you consider installing the wires. Please do not forget that LCD assemblies on shelves are considerably more difficult than on the shelves. At least in my experience. In addition, the LCD screen Assembly is not a task for the end user. If something bad happens while it is open, warranty service may be questionable.
