ThinkStation C20 and GeForce GTX 570

Hello

SRY for my bad English (German here). I have a C20 ThinkStation and today my Palit GeForce GTX 570 arrived. The problem now is that the delayed of the interface is on the side... and I can't close my C20 more... because of the thickness of the cable 8 and 6-pin.

Are there opportunities to bring the delayed behind the card with cables or something? Or any other GTX 570 with a delayed on the back side?

Hope someone can help me.

EVGA for example . Problem solved!

    Hello

Many of the graphics cards NVIDIA GTX 750 will not work in the HP PC that do not have a BIOS version 8.  Your PC has a BIOS version 7 and I do not expect HP to publish a version 8 BIOS for your PC.

Return the card and try one of the models that should run on a PC equipped with a legacy BIOS.

    Ranger_621, welcome to the forum.

750 GTX graphics cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Therefore, it would be incompatible with your computer.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

    Hello

    Thank you

There is very little information around that day.

In all likelihood that the 1080 will be the great way for a 51 X, the first cards will be reference cards, and they are usually large and strong. Waiting for some of aftermarkets come out, then find an it is roughly the same size as your current check, the power requirements (which should be OK) and your business in.

In theory, you should be able to maintain the upgrade your GPU until the same major GPU configuration change occurs, your just have to take into account size and power

  • First Pro CC gives an error "Could not create image buffer" and crashing after installing a videocard GeForce GTX 1070.

    Hi all

I recently installed a GeForce GTX 1070 video card and drivers current in my bench mounted, very happy for the potential break in the rendering and playback (I was using previously a very old ASUS Radeon HD 7850). I had nothing else problems since.

When I first tried a project of creation of opening, audio refused to play (speakers, headphones, everything...) I looked at the volume mixer while playing through the timeline and no audio only showed upward). Everything seemed fine. I closed, cleared the cache, opened the first, this time hold Alt while doing so to reset the preferences. Open very well, audio read back fine, that only now first was blocked indefinitely the generation of PEK files for a short audio clip in the project.

After a long bit of troubleshooting in the speakers, I went ahead and did a complete uninstall of Premiere Pro and After Effects, then reinstalled both programs to their current versions (2015.4 and 2015.3, respectively). No more problems of generation PEK, but something much worse. Now, whenever I try to change the CUDA acceleration enabled, I can maybe five minutes absolute performance first until I get an error "Could not create image buffer", warning of notifications of Windows that your computer is low on memory, and finally, a complete crash where the screen goes black, flickers a couple times, then stays black for good with only the mouse cursor appears on the screen.

The images that I'm editing is all images Go Pro, no effects applied. I am doing this for a client and need ready in a week, but the constant crashing makes them difficult to work around. I can more or less run by changing the acceleration of software only, display options but it is much slower and the memory is still eaten up like crazy (if I place the open Task Manager and start to scrub through the timeline I can watch the memory usage get up to 95% in 20 seconds approximately). Reading suffers as a result once the RAM is full until almost full.

    Technical specifications

First Pro CC 2015.4 (latest version)

OS: Windows 10 Pro (Version 1511)

    CPU: Intel Core i7 - 5820 K CPU @ 3.30 GHz

    RAM: 16 GB

GPU: EVGA GTX 1070 (latest drivers)

SSD (OS and Adobe Suite installed): SanDisk SSD internal 240 GB 2.5 inch SDSSDA - 240 G - G25

Hard drive (where I put my multimedia files): WD Black 2 TB Performance Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 inch, SATA 6 Gb/s, 7200 RPM, 64MB Cache

    Motherboard: ASRock X 99 Extreme4 LGA 2011-3 ATX Intel

Film source - source footage is an hour of video of Go Pro, all arranged on the timeline, no effect applied (I'm just trying change the original film in a short video).

    Type: MPEG Movie (.mp4)

    Image size: 3840 x 2160

    Frame rate: 29.97

    Format of the pixels: 1.0

It is worth noting that, with my old dusty Radeon GPU, I was able to edit these clips with ease. No reading, no problem of image buffer. I do not see my RAM never go above 60% usage, when I got this card is installed.

Also worth noting, that the first, I have noticed absolutely no problems, and the video card itself seems to work very well. I can play MGSV at max settings with perfect reading, as well as other graphics intensive games.

    Any help?

It's been almost a week and I had zero problems. First Pro CC 2015.2 works like a dream! I'll go ahead and mark this thread closed.

For those just tuning, I was able to find a solution by uninstalling the Premiere Pro and After Effects, and then reinstall them back to last known stable on my bench (Premiere Pro 2015.2 and after 2015.2 effects). So far, running these versions has been very good, even with active CUDA acceleration.

The only downside is that all the projects I've done in Premiere Pro version 2015.4 should be re-edited from scratch. But I've had absolutely zero problems using the program, which is a relief. Hope Adobe fixes this problem whenever 2015.5 is out!

  • CUDA and OpenCL. AMD 6870 or gtx 570. (The future keeping in mind).

What GPU would be better, the 6870 or the GTX 570 for After Effects and Premiere Pro. With Apple completely jump on AMD GPU, what is the future of OpenCL?

    Should I get an AMD 6870 for $ 40 or a GTX 570 for $ 50?

No doubt in my mind, the nVidia card is generally twice as fast as the equivalent of AMD GPU.  I tested the two brands.

  • Yosemite 10.10.1, After Effects and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB is no longer compatible?

    Hello

I recently updated my iMac 2012 end of Maverick in Yosemite 10.10.1. The main function of the system is the graphic and video production using Adobe 2014 Creative Cloud application suite. It is equipped with a CUDA GPU of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB.

Adobe applications Yosemite before authorized update BOF CUDA accelerated makes. After the update to OS that it is no longer an option that I realized when I open an After Effects project and was informed that ray-tracing was more accessible and requires CUDA 5.0 or later.

This led me to download and try to update the correct GPU GeForce driver, which I believe this here:http://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/81212

I downloaded and opened the package to start the installation and immediately received this message:

"Not supported by the computer. This computer is not compatible with the NVIDIA of the web driver. »

The platform OS Yosemite is incompatible with my GPU now? The operating system and GPU were previously in harmony. The accelerated rendering of CUDA is critical to my work. If possible, can I go back to Maverick?

Everyone knows about this problem? Am I just tried installing the wrong driver of GPU?

Thanks for your suggestions or leads.

I was looking for ot install and update the driver incorrect. I had updates to the CUDA Panel: http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-...37-driver.html.

  • Mounting 4 k RED in CS6 files, means SLI help in reading and publishing? (GeForce GTX - 760 vcard)

I just bought a card GeForce GTX-760 and noticed great improvements for video playback on my old card.

I want to start edition RED 4 k files and be able to read in 4 k, currently I can get smooth playback in the resolution of 1/2, but thought if I bought a 2nd card and used SLI I'd be able to get 4 k for playback on my system... would this work?

I have done the research for this, but could not find much on the use of SLI in first CS6...

Short of getting a rocket RED, how could achieve smooth RED 4 k playback and editing in CS6?

    Thank you all!

    AZA

With CS6, you are limited to a SINGLE video card.

With CC, SLI does not help. See Page Tweakers - what video card use?

A second video card can help marginally with CC only, , but the only thing that really helps is more cores, more cache L3 and higher clock speed memory.

  • GeForce GTX 780M and After Effects

I just got a new iMac with the GeForce GTX 780 M 4 GB of VRAM, and I was hoping I could use the 3D effects of Ray-tracing. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the option to upgrade to the GPU is grayed out. I have not installed anything except After Effects since I have the machine, so maybe I need to install CUDA? Where would I get the drivers for it so that I could try.

    Thank you

    David Faircloth

This card is not on the list of the cards tested and supported for After Effects for the GPU of the 3D rendering engine acceleration traced to the RADIUS.

If you use after effects CC (12.1), you can ignore this fact and choose the option «Enable GPU untested, unsupported...» "to try to use the card anyway. Details:

  • GTX 570 and first CS 5.5: engine reading Mercury does not seem to work

    Hello world

I get choppy playback and a red bar on first CS5.5 whenever I apply to a clip of one of these effects: no effect on the deformation, the noise alpha folder or the Magic Bullet Looks 2.

The sequence is an AVCHD 1080/24 p, first preset and multimedia files are AVCHD to a GH2 (1080/24 p to 24 Mbps).

My system is more or less like this:

    • Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3
    • Processor: Core i7 2600 k
    • RAM: 16 GB DDR3 Kingston HyperX 1600
    • Graphics card: Gigabyte GTX 570 1280 MB (it comes factory overclocked)
    • (Only a screen 1920 * 1080 is attached to the graphics card right now)
    • Hard drives: 3 Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB set out the following:

OS c:, Program Files, swap file

g: the project files and media

    h: Previews

And now the symptoms: sequence In an AVCHD 1080/24 p with clips AVCHD 24Mbps, all in the same video track, whenever I have applied an effect of alpha folder, Magic Bullet Looks, or noise of deformation (and probably no hardware acceleration effect) render bar changes from yellow to red and I get choppy playback unless I set the resolution of reading to 1/2. If I change the playback engine Mercury adjustment of the hardware to the software as usual. So I think that the GTX 570 does not work with first CS5.5 for some reason any. In this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3736541) some people had even complained. Also feels quite slow. For example, a clip of 30 seconds with an applied effect of Magic Bullet Looks takes 150 seconds to pass from red to green.

I tried to completely uninstall the nvidia drivers and installing the last to no effect. I'm kind of frustrated, I chose this system and CS5.5, thinking that it was going to be a smooth experience and I'm a little disappointed right now. If all goes well, there will be a fix for this. Or maybe I am doing something wrong myself.

Thank you in advance and sorry to bother you with this.

    See you soon.

    Diego

It depends on your memory and the degree to which pass you the RA, EN, AE and PS and others. With 24 GB, it is not really important. With 12 GB but switching limited and the use of AVCHD material, it is not terribly important. Material Red4K and no more than 12 GB it can pay to move the pagefile to H.

Therefore, there is no clear answer. It depends on your workflow, your source, your memory material.

  • Photoshop CS5 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 Crash

    My profile:

    Photoshop CS5 (x 64)

    Windows 7 x 64

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295 (latest driver v197.45)

    Intel i7 920 2.67 GHz

My card is listed as tested for CS5 and NVIDIA card says that it's compatible with CS5, but today after using it, my screen went blank and the display driver recovered himself. It took about 5 minutes until Photoshop CS5 became responsive and the GPU features have been disabled. I will try GPU in advanced mode and basic instead of the normal mode to see what happens, but it's a shame that I have problems of this kind. I also had problems with CS4 like that.

What I did to cause this problem: "I clicked on" Place... "to place an object, and that's when it crashed. It happens randomly that I use Photoshop. Please NVIDIA or Adobe to solve this problem. I love the GPU features and I want to run them, but this crash is boring to spend as much on the purchase of this product. I hate to have to pay to contact Adobe technical support, it should be included with the purchase of the software!

How do I fix this without having to go through the mode based GPU or disabled GPU?

Well my crash started back with the latest drivers again with the registry tweak and even disabled completely OpenGL. I was going to start to use Gimp but decided to make one last search and then found this thread: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=179747&st=20

Holy cow, thanks to this thread, I solved the problem! This idea of downclocking the card itself and other questions related power led me to this fix: go to the NVIDIA Control Panel--> manage settings 3D--> global settings and opt for 'Power Management Mode' 'Prefer Maximum Performance' (the 'Adaptive' default setting value seemed to be the culprit). And that's all! The key here is change the setting of "Global", as my individual programs were already set to 'Prefer Maximum Performance'. I have worked very well for 3 days now, and I can cause the error to happen again by changing to "Adaptive".

I do that and then turned backon OpenGL and set it to 'normal' and so far I've not dropped yet. For all of you who read this, I'll update if I have everything longer blocks, so if there is no more info about me which means this fix has remained strong.
