Hello
The system starts in SafeMode ok? If so, then the problem is not with a standard VGA driver, but rather those used by your video card in normal mode.

"this device cannot start (code 10)", which means code 10?
I was alarmed because I could stop my computer because of a 'message' came onto my computer and I was able to get off. So he would'nt stop. I was installing some new drivers with my Scanner Driver Uniblue, when this happened and so I Google'd up Uniblue to see if I could know what I could do about it, and I found there an investigation on the system cleaners and uniblue was last on their list of 5 questioned, and there were a few bad reports on this subject. I also had on my system, cure of Parelogic pilot, who had slipped completely under my guard through an email from the author of 'Math better explained', an e-book that I had downloaded some time ago and I have now seems to be a fake email because when I looked towards the top of Parelogic there was so many complainants and we even said that they do absolutely nothing positive and in fact that their objective is to implant the computers people and they must be reported to the FBI.
In any case I finally understood how to disable the offending message. But now I'm worried about 10 network cards that have yellow triangles with! "s with the message"this device cannot start (Code 10) ". It's probably just because I have no network connection, but I can't be sure until I have find this code 10 means,.
Thank you for your trouble,
calicoghotmail
Hello calico.ghotmail,
My apologies for the delay in the response to this topic.
Code 10 means that a device could not start.
If there is no network connection on this computer, then this might be a possible reason for this error.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Best regards

If I go to program followed past and then look for the device I get the message could not open selected port.
I tried all USB ports and they work with other devices. I have a Toshiba satellite running windows 7.

Microstoft ISATAP adapt: this device cannot start (code 10)
I've had no internet access for a few weeks - a day that worked and then the next day no wi - fi or Ethernet connection. Someone on the MS Community suggested to install driver updates, but the laptop in question has no access to the internet and has been updated automatically anyway. Today, I tried to reinstall the drivers on the adapters wi - fi and broadband from the phone itself, which seemed successful. But when I got to the ISATAP Protocol would not do the same thing and it comes up with the error message in the title of this post.
I read a few posts, which suggest to uninstall the adapter and then put it back, but as my laptop has no way to connect to internet, I don't see how it will work in my case. I don't seem to have the Win 7 CD either, unfortunately. So, where do I get a new adapter or update the driver, or whatever I need to do?
Thank you
IRB
Hi Snarli,
Thanks for posting the query on Microsoft Community.
I understand that you are unable to connect to the internet and that he wants to know if you will be able to re - install ISATAP Adapter without an internet connection or not.
I suggest you to run the troubleshooter and check if it helps.
Hardware devices do not work or are not detected in Windows:
https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/mats/hardware_device_problems
You will be able to install base drivers to restart the system after installation.
If you have any other computer where you can download the driver and the copy to an external hard drive or USB key, you can go ahead and uninstall the driver and restart the computer. Is it does not automatically get installed, and then try to install it by using a USB key.
You can consult the advice given by Vinod N replied on 26 April 2011.
I hope this helps to solve the issue. If the problem persists, get back to us. We will be happy to help you.

HP 8440p: Audio device high definition - device cannot start (Code 10)
I'm having a problem of isolation an indication in device with high definition Audio Device Manager. I have Intel Graphics with this machine. The OS is W10 Pro. I loaded the audio driver for Windows 7 64-bit, but that made no difference.
Device Manager indicates that "this device cannot start (Code 10)"
Driver date 09/07/2015 / Version - 10.0.10240.16384 / Microsoft driver
Details tab - value = device high definition Audio
Tab events - (information)
Device HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_8086 & DEV_2804 & SUBSYS_80860101 & REV_1000\4 & 36c4990c & 0 & 0301 requires installation.
Any guidance is appreciated.
Hi @JS2045
The audio device problem HD, what you see is the Intel HDMI audio device that needs a driver.
I looked around for a driver W10 to the hardware ID you have published and fails.
This device is necessary unless you want or need audio via the port display.
The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the graphics driver Intel W7 laptop support and driver page, but install it... so that you target just the audio device problem...
Download, but do not work with this graphics driver...
Download and install this free utility for files. 64-bit is the second listed file.
After installing 7-zip, do a right-click on the graphic driver file you downloaded, and select 7 - zip in the list of items.
Have 7-Zip extract of: and let it extract the driver for the name of the folder (sp64360).
Go to Device Manager and click on the audio device problem Intel HD requiring the driver.
Click the driver tab. Click on set to update driver.
Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-Zip created folder.
Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.
Then restart.
If you explore the driver folder 7-zip created, and then open the DisplayAudio folder, you will find the setup information file that has the hardware ID you reported that supported by the driver.
If this driver audio works on W10, I don't know.
But if you want to give that a try, it would be a way to do it without messing with the real graphics driver.
