How can I disable this message in Windows 7?

    TIA

    Joe Joe

    Hey Joe,

You can disable the notification under Windows 7 as well. To turn off Notification

    1. open devices and printers

    2. Select the printer

    3. in the menu above the icons click the print server properties

    4. go to advance tab, disable notifications of information and save the changes.

This would prevent the pop-up message.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • emails not sent to microsoft outlook

I have not received emails on outlook since July, it's extremely frustrating. I can access my hotmail via the internet, however, prefer to use microsoft outlook. I also began to receive a box requires me to enter my network password.  I walked several times, but the box keeps reappearing every minute.  I have reset my hotmail password and entered it in the box pop up, but it still seems.  I don't have this problem when the mail is delivered for iphone.  The mail has been delivered to my phone, I have not opened, but checked to see if it appears in outlook on my computer, but apparently not. It is strange that it worked perfectly until the beginning of July and all of a sudden nothing.  I've had my iphone for 2 years so don't think what could be the problem.  How can I get my emails sent to outlook and how can I get the annoying pop up box to stop appearing?  If I have to re - setup my e-mail in outlook, I have lost all my emails stored in folders under my Inbox?  Can you confirm the settings, I need a hotmail address to receive/send emails.

It would be a good question for the experts in a forum of Outlook.

    Hi Christophe,

It's a SCAM! Microsoft does not make that neither have they partners that do and don't they hire contractors or individuals or even to find volunteers to do. There are probably thousands of these companies out there do every day - we get two or three posts like this (or more) each day ask about it. You are lucky who have recognized the scam enough not to be sucked in and eventually identify theft, infections, hacking your computer, convince you to buy software or services you either did not need or that do not really exist at all and all sorts of nefarious stuff. You'd be surprised how much contact us AFTER THAT that they realized they had been duped asking what to do. Don't waste time talking to these people, not give them any personal information it is, don't be fooled by what they can get allows you to see on the computer - in fact, not do anything they suggest on your computer or even to visit Web sites they recommend and for the love of God don't give them access to your computer.

Microsoft knows this is happening, but with these companies popping up like dandelions, or closing and changing names when discovered and operating mainly from abroad, it would take an army of lawyers to sue each other. They do the best they can, but they are just too many and more added every day. People need to pay attention to these things. They occur not only by telephone, but also by e-mail, instant messaging, mail and all the ways imaginable. Forget not that Microsoft doesn't this and hang up or remove the emails or messages or mail from someone claiming that they do because they know the information on your computer or that you want to get information from you to confirm your account so that it will not be closed and asking you your name of user and password and all sorts of other personal information. Microsoft DO NOT!

This email is a phishing scam. I got the same email this morning and, being the paranoid sort, I always check these things carefully whenever people begin to ask for my "details".

After carefully checking the sender information in the e-mail header, it seems likely that these emails are broadcast by some kind of composed bot network other hijacked email addresses.

Secondly, the link provided for you to click, wriggle, shows that it is registered to a Malaysian firm called Emerge Inc. and in the case of most of the browsers will actually trigger an alert to the phishing scam (personally I use FF and Chrome, which gave the alert).

  • Spam emails are sent to all my contacts from scratch as if the email was from me. How to solve this problem?

Spam emails are sent to all my contacts from scratch as if the email was from me. How to solve this problem?

    original title: Spam e-mails

What do you mean by "archived" contacts?  If they are not contacts that are currently available to you, then there is no way that your PC could be sending mail to them.

It's the easiest thing to send an email from any address you like in the world.  This is not an indication that your e-mail account has been compromsed.  He could have, but changing your mail server access password can prevent this.  The usual cause of people receiving messages that look as if they're from your is because your address was used as the address of sending junk e-mail.  It is very common and does not mean that your PC or any PC, you never hit sends the mail.  It is something that you can only order if your mailbox has been compromised.

    Essential facts of the message:

    1. "Microsoft and Norton confirmed...". "Dozens of fake virus alerts contain this phrase even.
    2. «AOL confirms...» "Once again, another classical travel operator.
    3. "... everything... lose hacker will have access to your computer...". "Contradictory requests.  If you lose all the files on your hard drive how the hacker accessed anything?

  • Why can't I open a powerpoint presentation that was sent to me by email?

I can't open the PowerPoint presentation that was sent to me by e-mail. It keeps saying that it is opening in protection mode but it never actually opens. I tried to go to properties and change some things, but I don't know what to do now because she will not even open. Do you think that it is because we have a different software? Help, please. Thank you

    Hi Dominique,.

    1. You use a webmail like Yahoo Mail, Gmail etc. ? Who is your email provider?
    2. The problem occurs only when you open the Powerpoint file?
    3. Do you have any third-party security program installed on your computer?

If you use the version of the modern Internet Explorer User Interface, then I suggest you try to download an attachment to the desktop version of Internet Explorer 10. If you have the problem with the two versions, then go ahead with the following methods.

First of all, I you suggest to download and save the file and then try to open the attachment.

You can try the following steps if the problem persists.

Method 1: Try to open the file after you disable the Protected Mode.

Try to open the file after you disable the Protected Mode, to do this, follow these steps:

    (a) click on the Tools icon in Internet Explorer.

    (b) click the Security tab, and clear the check box next to the Enable Protected Mode (requires restarting Internet Explorer)

    (c) click apply and then click OK.
    (d) close all open Internet Explorer Windows, and then restart Internet Explorer.

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

Set IE as default browser, then try to open the file.

Follow the steps for the same thing:

    a. from the start, screen type default programs and select the filter Apps.
    b. click default programs in the search results.
    c. click on set your default programs.
    d. Select Internet Explorer from the list.
    e. Select set this program as default and then click OK.

For more information, see the following Microsoft article.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/choose-Programs-Windows-uses-default

    I hope this helps.

Please report if the problem persists and we will be happy to help you further.
