This file does not have a program assoiciated with him to perform this action

Each program icon I made a left click on the results in the message "this file is not a program associated with it for performing this action... then it won't let me continue." I can right click on some and 'run as administrator' and it will open some of my programs. What happens and how can I fix? Also his poster the x 86 MSG or System 32.
