  I asked this question 2 times, but I want to know not to do while nex fault

  I had a laptop about a week ago, which was asus series X501A, which had black whithout screen any beeps, all LED lights has been lighting the HD LED light.  so I thouthg it can be damaged the hard drive controller or drive hard or maybe the problem of memory ect.

  When I was trying to find the problem I thouthg also to test the memory so I replaced the memory with the same version that was CM3X4GSD1066 DDR3, this stick of memory's laptop asus A52JB serrie and after replacement I got laptop suyddenly dead.

  now I wonder is caused memory this laptop dead or I hit somewhere on the motherboard that I had not to touch or something else.

  a friend told me that the chipset was suffering. (I don't see any records on this dead laptop memory, that I forgot to make a note about this memory).

  I doubt that a different latency would cause a problem... it is normally handled automatically by the BIOS.

  It is possible that if it was too fast, it could be a problem, but it would not damage the machine remotely. Reinstallation of the memory of the initial or correct speed would put things to normal...

  Each key on the keyboard has its share in the circuit without dependence on the other keys.  Just because someone broke a window in your home does not mean the rest are too broken. ;-0

  Get the keyboard repaired/replaced.m last time I did it for one person (replaced a laptop keyboard) it took 20 minutes to actually do it-most of the deletion of a lot of small screws and a conservative to avoid losing.  (Not counting the delivery the day 2 of the replacement keyboard.)

• Cannot move the Favicons in toolbar - it just won't let me, even if it works on my identical thinkpad. On this laptop, it turns into a new tab.

  Although it works on my other thinkpad (which is identical to this one), yet when I try to drag website Favicons to the General on this thinkpad toolbar to use as a shortcut, a circle with a diagonal line displays, and when I try to drop the toolbar, a new tab opens to the top, instead of display the mozilla.org Favicon.

  So why it works on my other identical thinkpad, but not on this one? I bought two of them used. Obviously, certain factors on this thinkpad is not allowing it. Note that this laptop has AVG like antivirus, instead of MSE and perhaps also other differences of software.

  I think that it only works if you drop the site in the bookmarks toolbar. Despite its name, the bookmarks toolbar can be on its own line or can drag them to another bar. Maybe it's that it has been customized differently on the two installations of Firefox.

  Usually the CPU upgrade not is not supported by Toshiba... but if you use the CPU of the same family of CPU (i5 - 520 M, i5 - 540 M), then you should have a good chance that the laptop would be compatible with this CPU... but I would not recommend these updates.
