  I've upgraded to El Capitan this afternoon on my MacBook Pro (late 2011 version) and since then have been essentially unable to use Safari as it freezes several times, forcing me to force to leave every time. I noticed that others on the Board had listed their etrecheck results, so mine are below.

  It has been quite frustrating - Safari was my go - to browser and seems today almost no functional for me. (Firefox works fine, no problem, then what is it with Safari?)

  Hi, I bought a HP ENVY 700-149 days ago and right out of the box it freezes several times every 10-15 minutes that it is in use.

  Go to start / Control Panel / Internet Options / Advanced section then check the top box rendered = software use instead of gpu rendering / apply then OK.

  Restart all open windows ie11.

  For memory, Bing is a search engine ie11 is a browser and msn... is a home page.

  Any other number symbol use Gear and manage add-ons and toolbars and extensions and disable Adobe Shockwave element

  Take the resulting after AVI and load it into Adobe Media Encoder. Choose the H.264 option and use the YouTube preset for it. It will be watchable.

• Lightroom freezes several times

  I downloaded and installed Lightroom and Photoshop CC, a week or two there, as a monthly subscription.  Photoshop works very well. Lightroom becomes inadmissible, whenever I use it.  Message is "Lightroom not responding."  I have to close and restart. Sometimes it works 15 seconds before freezing, and sometimes it's 15-20 minutes walk.  Frost occurs most often with the switch of library to the develop module. I completely uninstalled Lightroom yesterday, stopped and restarted the computer and reinstalled.  Still does the same thing without change. Install the last updated yesterday and have rebooted at least 10 times today. I'm about to go back to Photoshop Elements for the Organizer, and edit it in Photoshop CC, but this clearly isn't the way it should be or what I pay for.

  Operating system is Windows 10. Memory is 16 GB. Main hard for programs and the OS disk a car of TB with 60% free space. The processor is Intel i5.   All images are stored on two other internal hard drives that are data only.

At first I thought as this only, when I don't click or move the mouse for over 1 minute, but that for now the problem appears also when I click or write something. I very rarely use this laptop, but as you can imagine it is very annoying and it is that I can not trust this laptop computer and the data on it. Maybe you know what are the causes of the problem or maybe some new drivers have been released to remove this problem?

  Whenever I get all new email, Thunderbird freezes completely and I'm unable to use it until the emails have finished to download. It happened this last month. I have a PC, Windows 7 and not using Bitdefender. I have no antivirus software installed and Windows Defender.

  Thanks for your replies. Just back in line, and after a lot of windows updates, that the problem seems to be resolved, well that always a little slow going. I'll see what happens on the report and the weekend when I use more if the problem comes back.
